Can we clarify what this board (the one true voice of reason) thinks of the sfc board now? Do they lack ambition? Is kl asset stripping and looking to sell? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

That's the difficulty though. Where could you get a striker sure to give you goals in the premier league for less than 10m under 30 years of age(albeit only just)? Rvp moved to United proven, aged 28, for three times that. 8m risks are the market we are in.

Are you happy with the alleged appointment ?

I remember him most for finishing an incredible pass from le tiss against Blackburn Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

To get this guy would take a lot of paperwork

Sam Gallagher to gills on a season long loan
Bwanamakubwa replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
If this is the case we have to be looking at signing 2 strikers -
He's said all along, even after nc went that he would wait until the summer to discuss a contract. It even mentions part of his philosophy is focus on the job in hand in the article. He's in a great negotiating position as he has made it appear truthfully or not he's not really bothered, and he has alternatives.

Why does anyone believe newspapers anymore ? ??
-
These players flop in the prem. DISAGREE All teams sign duds. AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY
-
Actually you're trusting the word of an Italian newspaper with non confirmed quotes but hey ho. I can categorically state having been involved with international press recently these come with agendas and are regularly made up. I'm afraid it means I believe v little in the papers. Regardless of finance we need a player pushing the others harder. If Gaston presence pushed lallana and j rod on to improve there's a benefit there. Osvaldo however we should cut loose and take the hit on a few million. (we are already not paying his wages let's keep it that way)

Didn't you have to accept on another thread it was closer to half that as stated by someone organising Gastons mortgage?

How many do you think will be sold if any?
Bwanamakubwa replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
If the sale is owing to player choice I agree. If it's down to the club recouping money then we'd get more for chambers -

I'd agree with you Lee the only thing though is the owed transfer money and over budget training facility. Chambers sale could cover one of those, leaving clyne as an able replacement. This talk of commercial revenue increase in theory should prevent future sales but sounds like we need money in the shorter term -
They haven't won yet gs!

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html Quick update as form doesn't seem to have been mentioned for a while.

We will probably do what we have done most summer transfer Windows and get 2-4 in, losing some of the dead wood and promoting youth. Granted nc not there anymore but it's been the policy for a few years now.

Re your point about those two being the only clubs relegated after winning the fa cup note the following: 1. Go back two further years and you get 4 clubs who won and have since been relegated 2. The remaining winners in the years since have only been split between 7 clubs. They are the seven clubs above us in the league currently. The clubs you mention Chelsea and Liverpool both needed a real overhaul this year. I'd expect that United could do with the same this year. Do you think we need an overhaul?
-
Every club is at a crossroads or at least not far from one. Pompey are, united are, heck even Chelsea and City are only one or two steps from a change in fortune. KL may or may not sell the club, poch could go or stay, all our players could leave.... just enjoy the now. I have a number of man city mates who always remember and talk about the past, they say it helps them enjoy the now and all those years they worried about the future non considered they could be champions. Ever.

"A strong desire to do something" Keep playing good entertaining football, continue to produce home grown talent, keep raising the profile of Southampton football club, keep improving That's probably it for me! Cup would be nice but not at the detriment of any of those statements. We will start with the same chance we have failed to take 99 out of the last 100 some years
