Excellent. For £45 he can access it before every game.... In the current season of course. Ex players used to get loads of benefits, hell I even profited on occasion with a free ticket here and there. Is part of the issue these perks aren't there anymore?
-
I agree the whole situation, from both sides could be handled better but what is it the ex players want?
-
This is how it comes across. A complete clash in personality even though they both ultimately want success for saints. Cortese has no desire to be liked by anyone, Mlt appears put out by not being held in the respect he feels he deserves
-
The special one recommended MP to saints. That should answer your question
-
I'm with Essruu (see post 6) I actually think any cricket fan who has had some laughs singing the haaaaammmmp shhhheeeeire song might consider it for jack cork too
-
This definitely. We need more songs, with lyrics that show originality and the Adams family fits the bill!
-
Brilliant. Let's voice it at Wigan
-
Stealing the Cantona song: Morgan, Morgan, Schneiderlin Christ that looks pathetic now I have written it down.
-
In principle I agree, but Lambert bullied Ferdinand and vidic for the majority of the fixture at st Mary's. Tough call.

Driving up Saturday with a mate. Back Sunday after a night on the **** in Liverpool. Got a couple of spaces if that arrangement suits.
-
Early days but could you see the changes with MP tonight?

Based on the first half rather than the second when we looked shattered: We pressed under Adkins, but it was mainly to force them back. It appeared there was more of a determination to actually win the ball high up the field. The wide players came off the flanks to run between full backs and centre backs particularly in the first half. a la Ljunberg of old Lambert made more channel runs than I have seen before. Defence was higher up the field - first half this worked, second half it enabled Anichebe and the other fella to get in behind our back four More direct rather than working the ball back and across. If there was a forward pass on we took it. I am not saying all of these are good things, but they were the differences I noticed. -
A simple one Nigel Adkins before the game, one at halftime, one at full time should suffice. The rest of the time I will be supporting Southampton football club as I have done through crazy by gone times.
-
It's this for me I'm afraid. Hammond, Harding, Sharp, Davis, chaplow, jos even from a sentiment point of view should have had a crack at the prem without the spectre of being replaced. Nigels record has been outstanding for saints, and I love the guys attitude. One of the reasons it hurts so much is he is such a likeable man. But for reasons we probably will never know he wasn't deemed good enough by the people that matter in taking that decision, and, like the players listed above has been replaced. It seems irrational, unfair, immoral even but Adkins is now not a physio turned manager but a well respected manager destined for a premier league team. Southampton FC gave him that opportunity. It's not him I'm worried about!
-
He's got the last two right, otherwise we wouldn't be so upset. Personally, I thought Adkins was excellent. His attitude in the face of everything, his energy, his heart and soul thrown in to everything he does. I'm gutted he's gone, but he will be fine. He's no longer the physio who is a half decent manager, he's a premier league manager. It's Southampton football club I'm worried about and I really hope cortese gets three appointments right on the trot
-
As someone who believes he knows good football, and occasionally turns out as a centre midfielder Jack Cork was absolutely outstanding today.

Collocini starts

Appy is so unappy he's recently been interviewed for the palace job. All this in it together business - he can't wait to get out! He's not the favourite at the moment though. Wonder what that says about how he sees the trust and their bid??
-
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing time and time again, but expecting the same result. Thats how I feel about England and this squad offers me nothing to change my mind.
-
Is that the one about the love of two brains?
-
Ah. Ok I sit corrected. Still very happy with the signings and balance of the team. Should make for a highly entertaining season!
-
Loan window still open alps. We usually come up with a loan to buy. If, as it seems, we are going to stick to 4-3-3, Billy was going to struggle for gametime. My heart wanted him to stay my head knew he wouldn't. Squad is far more balanced ability wise now.

Thanks for reminding me that despite having to trawl through rehashed stories from different 'sources', the gut instincts of saintsweb posters as polar as they are, the will he wont he do we know anything, its STILL better than circa 1992, having to phone clubcall at £2 a minute to get the same information

Remember, this is business

That was the perfect away performance. If we play like that, we will be fine. Keep calm!
