Basingstoke, maybe Reading as they are the nearest 'big' team to me.
May even jump before Saints die, as the club I used to love no longer exists. Sick of being depressed every Saturday.
As much as I have the utmost respect for Svennson as a player, what evidence is there that he is any good at coaching?
Our defence has been an utter shambles all season, what has stopped him from saying anything about 'how it should be done' while he has been sidelined? If he has already been trying to coach from the sidelines then this only proves that we are still going backwards with this appointment.
I, like many others, suspect that this is just propaganda from the club to try to use a popular figure to appease the fans. It's such a shame its all come to this......
Hassan Kachloul - the best left wing crosser we've had, even if he was a mercenary foreigner.
Have to agree with Armstrong, and Nick Holmes as the two to nominate though
Simply a legend. I saw Shilton play, and Niemi was - in my opinion - a better keeper. (May have a lot to do with better fitness, coaching, etc than Shilton's era because there is no doubt that in his time Shilton was untouchable)
I echo the sentiments of many that I would love to see him back as a coach (the BBC say he could resume some training in a couple of months, so its not impossible!) or hell even Niemi with one hand could be better than what we've got between the sticks at the moment!
Kerry Dixon, Ali Dia, Paul Rideout, Speedie (as mentioned above), Perry Groves, George Burley (alright, I know the question said players, but he is worthy of a mention), to some extent Mark Hughes
