Southampton Football Club's listed parent company was teetering on the brink of administration last night after the club failed to agree an extension of its overdraft with Barclays Bank. Shares in the AIM-listed Southampton Leisure Holdings will be suspended this morning and Begbies Traynor, the accountancy firm, is standing by to step in as administrator of the troubled club, which has struggled since it was relegated from the Premier League in 2005, writes the Times.

Whilst I would not have put it this way I generally agree with your post, but if we have no future then all we will shortly have is our memories

Dowie needs to take over for the rest of the season!
-
Praise to JP. He made a very ordinary team on paper draw against top opposition. Thats good management!
-
I have just read the team news. Oh my god!. I just wish we had a chance, but this really will be men against boys. 0-3 if we are lucky. I think we're terminal!
-
I will try your medication. The problem arises when we every now and then have a false dawn and the next games disaster hurts to a 9. Saints till I die!
-
Anyone else feeling utterly deflated with this team selection. Talk about lightweight!
-
I think the weak pound is a good thing for us. Rasiak and Skacel have reduced in price by 30% to european clubs. Now we have to find Euro clubs that want to buy them
-
Reading through the posts I'm very glad that none of you are not the manager.

I cant promise anything, but I emailed this gentleman David Bull [bull.hagiology@blueyonder.co.uk]

Without debt, they do not have to paid interest. If the council owned our stadium we would make a profit
-
I wrote an email to the publisher and asked if he could get two books dedicated and signed. He said yes, reduced the price by 10% + postage. Absolutely fantastic service. What a christmas present!

I think it was wrong not to play pearce for this reason.
-
Was that the same time when we had 3.5 million in the bank and Rasiak was in form.

The fault lies firmly at the boards feet. They were either too week to say no to the manager or gambling fools. No blame lies with Rupert Lowe. He may have brought in a supposedly top manager, but he did not sanction the transfer kitty or wages with have put us in this mess. Still if you think we're in a mess what about this country with 118 billion pound debts.

What is it with my spelling today!!!!!!

The fact is when these players are sold they will be replaced by unknowns who will take up the mantel. Who knew of these players to years ago. Players come and go, but the most importing thing is the club and its survival!

The answer can only be 'YES!'. Without the change implimented we would now be in adminstration. I am 100% behind our kids, our very underestimated manager and our club - As Should You All Be! We are moving in the right direction and whilst I am frustrated by some results and the naivety shown, I am also excited by style of football. The prospects are fantastic - Surman, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Mills, Gobern, Mcgoldrick, James and more - They will all grace the Premiership. Maybe not with Saints, but if there sail allows us to move forward then they will have made a huge contribution to our return to the premiership

BWP must play

I would like to see Euell played tonight with Schneiderlin

Why no first teamers in reserves game this afternoon?
Andy Durman replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Wootton has stated on numerous occasions that the reserves will be used as a step up for the kids. Skacel is too old -
I remember watching Wayne Bridge initially and thinking that he was off the pace, lightweight and a little slow. The fact is that they are all learning there trade in no better place. I think that James and Oliie will both make. Please give them time and enjoy there development.

I am incredibly upbeat about our team. The quality we possess. Get a grip some of you and start seeing the bigger picture. Our youngsters have kept us out of the relegation positions without experience. Now they have experience and they are learning. Some of the play against Coventry was fantastic. Yes the defending was poor, but they are learning and I for one am realiy enjoying watching. Keep it up JP. Saints are on the up!
-
Poor defending cost us dear, but I am really happy with our team generally and enjoyed the game. We really played some neat stuff and had we had a finisher today, hen maybe we could have got 4 or 5 today. Keep up the good work Saints I am very positive for the future. Just learn to defend.
