  1. Water is great and so is oil, but put them together and they don't mix. Both Matt & Mr Cortese are great people. They just don't mix. I think its called life
  2. Lets face it these events should be organised with the blessing and support of the club. It should be organised through the club and I think this is where the problem lies. As the saying goes. There are 3 sides to every story. Cortese, Le Tissier and the truth. Please don't wash your dirty laundry in public. Get round a table and sort out what is best for the club. Public squabbling is not the answer.
  3. Lambert crucially gave the ball away twice in a minute and they then scored the important 3rd. Can't agree that Lambert is back to his best. He had two great opportunities to score in open play and he failed. Don't want to criticise, but seeing hold his head after his mistake said it all and cost us the game. Lallana is the secret for automatic promotion, but perhaps a CB partner for Fonte should have been priority in the January window. Seabourne lost his personal battles today and probably cost us the match, but the manager has to hold his hands up and maybe he should have replaced him with Jaidi or even gone 3 CB's and 5 in midfield and closed out the game.
  4. I'm sorry but at 4-2 up you have to close up the game. The game was far too open. Chaplow and Hammond had too much work to do and they needed help in closing them down. You could see Seabourne was loosing his battle and maybe bringing Jaidi, N'Guessen and Dickson would have been better. We couldn't get to grips with there right side. I would have brought off Chamberlain, Harding and Barnard. It would have helped if Schneiderlin was available.
  5. He should be annoyed with himself! poor management decisions
  6. Atkins may not risk Lallana at Tranmere. We may see him on the bench, but I think he will play a part if required All depends on Adam
  7. I'm not worried and I'll stick my neck out and say that Lallana will play against Tranmere I think and hope this is pure gamesmanship One other point - We all no the importants of Lallana, but we also need to consider the stats for Chaplow who has helped Lallana's win to match ratio this season since his arrival.
  8. The replacement for Lallana (and we may see it happen this weekend) is Puncheon. This is the position he has been most effective for Millwall
  9. Lets not forgot what happened when we bought in the previous January transfer window. Our form dipped. It took time for the team to gel. We lost ground and eventually played catch up before missng out on the play offs. Why sign Guly now when he is on a season long loan. Don't commit until you have to. We have already agreed a fee should we wish to purchase. Ow and one other thing. Its a good job Guly doesn't read this site (Taxi For Guly) Thank god some of you don't run this club.
  10. Incidently does anybody think that Chamberlain is better than Lallana? Look at the stats for wins with Lallana in the side. Lallana is the real deal Chamberlain is learning the trade a family club with great family support. Why change a winning team
  11. I'll say again for those who haven't got it yet. Having spoke to him last week Alex said, "he is not going anywhere" He is a well grounded lad with a great Dad Why do Saints fans continually get sucked into paper talk. Get on with your lives and enjoy the second half of the season! God knows we had enough pain!
  12. I would like to see the stats on Chaplow. League games played and how many of them we have won. Chaplow is the difference!!!!!
  13. Puts it all in perspective. Scored a goal on New Years day and died in his sleep. Very very sad!!!!!!
  14. Right side concerns me. Chamberlain will get tired after 70 mins and we don't have a replacement
  15. My point is why discuss something that's not going to happen. This a pointless thread. Go watch a Saints pay with Chamberlain and enjoy him!!! We are building a premier league team and Chamberlain and Lallana will grace our team. Enjoy the ride.
  16. Chamberlain told me last week that he's going nowhere. Chamberlain is a Saint Close the thread!
  17. I think its irrelevent if Puncheon is cup tied or not. His value will not diminish. The question is whether he can do a job for us and if by playing another player can be rested then yes he should play. Who pays his wages? I did state that I wanted the same team who played at Daggers to play at Oldham. Richardson was a sub. Gobern is better in the middle, but we need Chaplow with Schneiderlin in the middle. Hope I've answered your questions
  18. Same starting 11 for the Daggers to play against Oldham mid week. Bring in Schneiderlin for Hammond. Seabourne for Jaidi. Harding and Richardson for Dickson and Butterfield Puncheon for Chamberlain Barnard for Guly. I should be a manager
  19. Chamberlain is happy and going nowhere and that comes from the young man himself. Move on with this story
  20. Savage was their best player and that was banter of the highest order. I laughed a little to loudly in the home stand. Great entertainment
  21. Back from the game. A game we dominated and almost threw away at the end. Great friendly place to go and enjoy a 3-1 win and I was able to get the autographs of all the Saints players including Nigel Atkins and Dean Wilkins. The coach waited for a god hour after the match in the car park and there simply no stewards. You were able to chat with Lambert, Lallana, Davis, Chaplow and others as they didn't get on the coach until later. I have spoken to Lambert about pre-season and his injuries. I got the latest news on Puncheon. Chamberlain told me he was not going anywhere. Chaplow told me when his contract was agreed and I had a lovely little conversation with Dean Wilkins. Ow and Nigel Atkins who is a lovely man and commands respect (always travels on the bus with the squad). Anyway to the game. One of Daggers player said it was over and another said he wasn't sure. Kelvin said it was 6 inches in front of the line. TV replays will show better. Anyway we really rode our luck in the last 10 minutes and I think it was self inflicted. Yes Chamberlain may have been tired, but Guly was running the show through the middle and I could see a few more goals. We looked disjointed when Guly went to the right and although he scored we did not look the same team. Richardson was problem one too many subs. Lallana was fantastic and although Guly missed a sitter of a header in the first half I think he is the better partner for Lambert. Take your pick from either for MOM. Lambert put a good shift in today although he keeps creeping wide on occasions. Chaplow, Hammond, Fonte and Jaidi one most of there battles. Winning the ball first, second and sometimes third, but still the Daggers did not give up and you have to give them credit. Chamberlain is class, but he is nowhere near as fast as Walcott. Butterfield and Dickson were solid. I think we should have been out of site by 70 mins with all the chances we had. Great day and proud to be a Saint. I will enjoy my wine and dream of being Champions. Chaplow is the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Interesting Nigel Adkins averaging 2 points a game since his arrival. 30 points in 15 games
  23. No Topcat has a very valid point
  24. This is an easy one. t must be Chaplow. He has spent the whole week training, whilst Morgan has been away with France. Chaplow will be more focused.
  25. Loan should be paid for out of Barnards wages as penalty for his unprofessionalism!
