  1. Wes I agree 100%. When is a foul not a foul? When it's in the box
  2. Wes I appreciate your comment. We all see a game differently. You never win at Old Trafford without player well. Even Koeman said it was fantastic. We should respect Batmans reply and agree or not. I know which one I'll be doing.
  3. Mane is not the answer for Man United. I really wish that he realises that Southampton is his level. He has incredible feet and speed, but at the moment his lack of confidence means we fail to capitalise on good attacking opportunities. Make no mistake this was a phenomenal performance, in that we limited Man United to one shot on goal in the entire match. It wasn't that they were so bad, but a measure of how well we pressed and fought for every ball. Wanyama was at the heart of our solidity and whilst Clasie was also excellent, Wanyama did it for 90 minutes and had to be man of the match.
  4. Well said Hemel Saint. That'll touch a nerve
  5. Thoroughly deserved. Tactically spot on. Wanyama immense Mane that's how you finish
  6. Fantastic documentary. I have great respect for the rehabilitation team.
  7. So let's see the evidence to substantiate your allegation. Be clear if you don't have any proof you are totally out of order and potentially liable for a slander claim
  8. It hasn't worked out for Gaston, but Saints took the risk. Mistakes in football cost money, but please don't blame Gaston, he wanted to be a huge success, but it didn't happen. He knows he's not wanted by Saints, but he has until the end of the window to negotiate or maybe he wishes to wait until the Summer. He's doing nothing more than we all would do in his position. His family is also probably settled in Southampton.
  9. This is looking very likely
  10. Forster's injury has played a significant part in our drop in achievement. To me the hunger has also not been there or certainty hasn't been equal to our opponents. Koeman's tinkering and rotation certainly hasn't helped with player esteem. Some of Ronald's systems played have nothing short of fantasy football. When you rely on Pelle and Tadic your speed of play becomes predictable. Targets development has been hindered by Bertrand. Players need the environment to develop. A settled team and time. JWP may be physically stronger, but his confidence will be low.
  11. If you want to slow the game down then bring in Victor, Pelle and Tadic. If you want exciting counter attacking, in your face pressing and fast combination play then keep these three players on the bench. We talk about giving youth a chance. Well when you play as good as Targett did last night, how can you drop him. At least he provides quality crosses and physical presence.
  12. JayRod is deafening by the lack of information. Me thinks there is more to this than we are led to believe
  13. Romeu is a beast as well. Look at the size of his legs. Problem is that he does have a tendency to lose the ball in dangerous areas. Vic very rarely loses the ball, but he also doesn't cover as much ground. Romeu creates high tempo, but has mistakes in him that could cost us. Wanyama brings solidity at a slower pace. If you want a high tempo game Romeu should play. If you want to slow everything down use Pelle, Tadic and Wanyama. I want high tempo football.
  14. Sell Pelle in January and continue with Long and Mane. The way we played against Watford is how football should be played. Pelle and Tadic just slow everything down
  15. This boy Targett is some player Romeu and Clasie very impressive Frazer Forster = clean sheet Could and should have 6-0 we need to be more clinical
  16. Oops!! Ow well what do I know
  17. The most ridiculous substitution
  18. Any stream for tonight??
  19. That was impossible to keep out. Think you're very unfair On Gazza Referee got conned. That was never a free kick.
  20. Mr Koeman spends a lot of time with the academy, watching training sessions. He is very active at all levels. When players are ready to train with the first team, that's what will happen. We may question the match tactics, but we should not question his understanding of which players are good enough to be promoted.
  21. It would appear that Mr Koeman is correct. We are at this point in time not producing quality young players for the first team. Whilst we beat Chelsea U21 this was probably down to Frazer Forster than the quality of our play. The Southampton conveyor belt has a few problems
  22. Anyone got a stream that f**king works!!!!!
  23. If you want to teach a striker how to play centre forward watching Shane Long today would not be a bad idea. Playing on the shoulder of the centre backs staying in an offside position, only coming onside for the pass. A master class of power, pace, work and gamesmanship. squad rotation is the only thing that will help Pelle keep his place.
  24. Today the workers played and boy did they work. Better finishing and this could have been an incredible result. This is the Southampton Way. Hard work. Intensity. This wasn't fantasy football good old 4-4-2, sometimes 4-2-3-1, physical and fast. Welcome Cuco Martinez. Ice baths, recovery and let's go again against West Ham. Well done Ronald and team tactically brilliant today.
  25. Height could be a real problem from set pieces tonight
