You are the naive one! Stoke 'bloody' City are in the Premiership. They will probably be 1 of 6 clubs in the running to be relegated at the end of the season. If they get relegated they will be 1 of 3 clubs favourites to be promoted. If they get relegated they will have 3 yrs of parachute payments. Meanwhile, he will earn more money and play Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. Or/ SFC are in the CCC Mid table would be a success this season Still a chance of administration If we get relegated we are flucked. Meanwhile he will earn less money (and few win bonuses) and play Doncaster Rovers, Barnsley and Blackpool. Let's take a vote shall we!!!

Well stated. Another non thread that needs to be knocked back.

The role of Dave Jones (not the Cardiff one) in all this mess

We need to ask for a small goal.

You are assuming that he did something wrong or had failed in his fiduciary duties. During his employment the club/company have not traded insolvently and neither has it filed for administration. How about blaming the car park attendant for allowing all those 'bad people' to park? -
[ It still surprises me a little that JP and Wotte have not brought someone over from Holland.[/QUOTE] On SaintsTV JP says that he doesn't think Dutch players can play in this country with exceptions being van Persie and van Nistlerooy etc. so I took that to mean that no Dutch youngsters would be joining the Saints ranks. I do think though that something will need to be done if we let Andrew Davies go as it'l be a helluva gamble putting all your faith in a 35 year old and a bloke who's been out the game for near on 4 years as the only real proven centre back options. This is something that had puzzled me some weeks ago! If we are fashioning everything on the Dutch game, yet the Dutch players can't adapt to the English style, why are we going Dutch?? What can't they adapt to?

Agreed. Q: Why would highly paid footballer on his day off ask to train with team he has left on loan? A: He wouldn't. Hopefully he is coming back.

There is a danger we are coaching the boys to only play one system regardless of score or the opponents tactics...... we have got to get the right balance of system and experience. Having said that, the score isn't the only focus of playing reserve games.

Sometime you make some good, interesting points. Most times you simply make negative, mischevious 'headlines'. Are you a fan or a critic of SFC? Fans can see both good and bad, you appear to only see bad - yet have no solution.
-
Can all the fans who give abuse to ex SFC players shut the fluk up!
-
sometimes there are consequences in making throw away lines.

Nope, have not misread the post, been illogical or blindly abusive. "I never met Attila the Hun, but I know he was quite an unpleasant chap, likewise Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Mugabe and Margaret Thatcher. I clearly don't put these people in the same league as Lowe and don't equate what they did with what a second rate plc chairman does" As an Englishman I take offence to including MT in the same sentence as the others, even if used to illustrate someone's point. MT had those that were for her and against her, but she was never an unelected dictator.

I don't think we have the right balance of youth and experience. Getting 1 or 2 seasoned pros' from this league (not the Premier) should be a priority. We need a bit more experience in the squad, especially to cope with the cold winter midweek away games up north playing against older, tougher pro's. Playing 'total football' in these conditions will be tough.
-
You have completely fallen in to the trap that Scooby has set! However you clearly wrong to suggest only pro Lowe mention the 'class' thing. I also think you have major issues and a complete lack of historical knowledge if you consider Margaret Thatcher in the same light as Hitler, Hussein and Mugabe. Maybe you should support a club based on your love of the Chairman? Shame Tony Blair doesn't have more time eh?
-
you can also include Sunderland. It is only since a new consortium came in 2 yrs ago that they have been in the ascendancy.

Come off it, if we had one manager in 10 yrs there would always be the chance of relegation. RL made mistakes in managers no doubt, but relegation was not down to him alone. If we had less managerial upheaval this would have helped our chances to avoid the drop, no better than that in my opinion. Anyway, let's all move on shall we?
-
I think we can also remember his picture with the squad each season - I don't think any other team in the premier or elsewhere included the chairman in team pics! However, moving forward we have to hope that RL has learnt from some of these errors....time will tell.

any link for those in Sunnier climes?

RC would have more credibilty from me if he gave praise when it's due and posted about things that happen on the pitch. I don't always disagree with his point of view, but surely he has a comment about the team? I don't think I've ever read anything from him concerning players, results or tactics. Perhaps he has a vendetta or political agenda?....
-
Agreed. The last thing we need is a repeat of the CB problems we had at the start of last season.

I thought the same! He was an unused sub on Saturday yet doesn't make the squad tonight. Seems a pretty clear message to me.
