Which, of course, is exactly what he wants it to be given Sunak is hopeless in defending his own policies.

All my mums side of the family are Charlton fans and was talking about his appointment earlier today. I think he might be ok for them, smallish club where he can probably stamp his authority in a similar way to Luton. Hopelessly out of his depth with us and Stoke but Charlton probably suits him.
-
To be fair they've got a similar record here - both played a major part in getting us into the championship.

Got bored halfway through doing that quiz and gave up. I'm more special than you.

This is why I can't ever get too worked up when we lose a youth player (or sign a really young youth prospect). The percentage that go on to be decent is so low that chances are it won't make the slightest bit of difference. Bit different with the ones signed around the 18 year old mark but anything younger than that and it's more likely that they'll never play more than a few first team games for us (if any).

Ha ha, and I thought it was bad having to wait a few mins for a VAR decision. Looks like everyone will be waiting months now.

If we end up selling him to Juventus then I think that's a big enough demonstration of a pathway for most young Argentinians. Think I'm like most - disappointing if he does go but realistically he isn't making the first team and it seems like a decent enough deal for a fringe player.
-
I'd drop the elephant.
-
Palace fan at work was raving about him last summer and hoping this would be a breakout season in the first team for him. I've never seen him play so can't really comment but sounds like they expect big things from him.
-
Who was the last player to come out of the youth ranks and become would be considered a regular?
-
Pretty much all that article is rubbish. Semmens says he was one of the top five managers for improving teams. Bullshit. I'd love to know what stats they were using to come to that conclusion because he clearly wasn't and isn't. Presumably he's now one of the worst five managers for improving teams.

We've actually got quite a low unemployment rate though so whilst it's convenient to blame pesky benefit claimants I'm not sure it's quite that simple. Quite a complex area with many nuances mind.
-
Without wanting to jinx it, I'm fairly confident. I doubt Swansea will be too defensive at home like Norwich were and if they come at us then we should be able to cope with it and exploit the gaps they leave. Swansea don't create that much either. We'll win 1-3.

I haven't watched the press conference but did last nights vote justify having a press conference? It's not like anything has materially changed yet because it still needs to go through the Lords. Appreciate it's an emotive issue for some but it comes across as if Sunak thinks the Rwanda scheme is the burning issue of our times, the biggest single thing that keeps everyone up at night and will make or break him in an election. Dunno about anyone else but surely there's more important shit he should be doing rather than holding a (presumably) self congratulatory press conference about a vote a government with an 80 seat majority should win at a canter anyway.
-
You get the impression both parties would rather set their head on fire than go down that route.

Have I missed something? Has the season ended early? I’m loving the results and performances right now and it’s brilliant to watch but I’d hold fire on the self congratulatory smug posts until we’ve secured promotion. That’s what a squad like this should be delivering. Also worth noting that Martin blamed himself for the four defeats (in his last press conference) so even he is echoing a lot of the criticism levelled at him at the time. Anyway, thoroughly enjoying watching saints play and I hope it continues.

Seems like a decent player from the video although it's not a position we lack for in numbers. Decent skill on the ball and at times looks like a fat Lallana.

Saints 4-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Saturday 3pm
revolution saint replied to goodymatt's topic in The Saints
Sheff Weds doing well in the form table and not the pushovers they were at the start of the season. It'll be one of those where they defend deep but aggressively, there will be hardly any space and few chances. Draw for me, 0-0. -
TBF whichever side of the fence you sat on it doesn't sound like there was much interest in Che during the summer. Think I recall there may have been rumours of Che going to B'mouth for 9M? 15M was never going to happen though.
-
They'll have had more detailed discussions about what kind of role he would be playing and how much. Both proposals may be acceptable but one might be better than the other from a playing perspective. Or he may just really like his mate and not want to be too far away from him like you suggested.
-
It's probably more to do with guarantees of playing time than anything else. He wants and needs as many games as possible and Hull are probably making a more convincing case than we are of him getting it.
-
Fraser was clearly MOTM but I thought Lumley looked calm, composed and saved what little he had to deal well. Also thought Meghoma looked excellent and was impressed with him.
-
Absolutely, you remind me of Nicklas Bendtner.

That's a really good and well thought out post. Well done and have a medal.
