  1. Easy to forget the lad is only 20. I was disappointed he didn't play more last season and didn't have the impact when he did but he's got time on his side. His big problem is he'll likely get even less time next season so it'll be a big call on whether to send him out on loan or hope he can improve whilst still being a bit part player. Definitely think he deserved to play more when Downes was injured and thought he showed some really good flashes against Liverpool away where he received the ball on the half turn a few times - something he hadn't showed before and Lavia was so good at.
  2. On the face of it Tammy Abrahams would be decent - tall, quick(ish), can handle the physicality, bit of experience and scores goals. Only thing that makes me wary is he'll be a player slowly working his way down his expectations. Must be hard when you're a young kid being touted as a future star and things start to level off and that progression to the next level never quite happens. Signing Abraham now is a different proposition to signing him straight out of the youth team with hunger for games and a desire to prove a point. Broja falls into the same category to an extent. It's the kind of signing you expect West Ham to make. Obviously not all players in a similar position react the same way but I'd want to be confident of his motivation for more than just wages. Having said that, RM strikes me as the kind of manager who can make players fall in love with the game again. Oh, and that's before the injuries are taken into account - what was he out for last season?
  3. Unfortunately Charles Manson died in 2017, good shout though and had forgotten about him. Are there any other serial killers who could do a job for us?
  4. If we got nuked then we wouldn't have to worry about immigration and would definitely STOP THE BOATS. Maybe something for Reform to think about there.
  5. To be fair, all the major parties are probably going to get some wrong 'uns get through the initial vetting process and reform are probably in a worse position than most to weed them out given they have less resources. I'm sure we'll see Labour and the Tories with prospective candidates with something to be embarrassed about. What's more shocking is Reform standing by their man, can understand the free speech element but you'd think they'd at least condemn the statements themselves.
  6. If the conservatives and reform were to merge they could call themselves CONFORM.
  7. Nice little edit there, otherwise it would have looked like you were only bothered about anti semitism when soggy comes out with it.
  8. Yeah will be tough for them and they'll probably go through a couple of leaders before they realise ideology doesn't win elections. Doesn't really help them that the more voter friendly big name Torys were either kicked out or decided to jack it in because they were mostly remainers. Personally I'm quite looking forward to Boris and Nigel fighting each other over the fetid corpse they've left behind.
  9. Yep, hopefully the Tories lose this election and blame it on not being right wing enough.
  10. You need to get out more.
  11. Yeah, I'm going to call you out on that one. Not the hopeless thing, that's fine, but fit? Honestly? Sturdy girl in a blue dress and and an 80's hairstyle does not equal fit. Debate wise she was always on a loser. Spent too much time interrupting Raynor that she trampled over any decent points she might have had. Thought the welsh fella did OK but then no one really cared about him, ditto the greens and lib dems. SNP guy did well and was far more effective on Labour than phwoar Penny, although it must be easy being in charge and yet still blaming the govt for not giving you enough money when you fail. Thought Farage was subdued - did a few of the old favourites but didn't push anything. I think he'll probably wilt a bit when he's taken seriously and asked more about his policies - single issue stuff he can do well but a rounded, balanced manifesto is a different matter.
  12. John Curtis was talking about reform on times radio the other day - reckoned Reform would probably need to be considerably ahead of Conservatives in order to challenge them on seats because reform tend to have support spread fairly evenly throughout the country. Wouldn't surprise me if they got close or exceeded share of national vote though which in itself would be an incredible achievement for them. Can't remember the name of the fella but conservative commentator on Newsnight was talking about what would happen if Reform edge in front of Tories in an opinion poll - can see that happening especially as Farage is probably the only game in town tonight.
  13. Who knows? End of the day you have to go on your own opinion based on what you see and there were quite a few times when he was a bit passive to me. As you say, it could be that's what he was told to do. I'm not overly against him and the experience would fill a gap but, free kicks aside, he doesn't excite me much either.
  14. I thought the Matt O'Riley one was a good link. Not sure how realistic it is but looks a really decent player.
  15. I always thought that JWP had a natural inclination towards a risk free sideways pass rather than do anything adventurous. Last season we were at our worst when we did that so I'm not sure JWP is that much of a natural fit (unless the plan is to bore the opponent to death). Obviously a decent player and I wouldn't complain if we did sign him (which we probably won't) but he's not someone I'm overly bothered about either.
  16. In my seat, New Forest East, they're predicting a swing to labour that reduces a 29% conservative majority to just 2.2%. I'd be fucking amazed if that happens. You could put a blue rosette on a pig and it would get elected here.
  17. Thanks for explaining my statement to me. Much appreciated.
  18. Yeah, agree about the fiscal drag element of pensioner tax. Problem is Labour have also signed up for it.

No, they're back together and mostly do Butlins and other holiday camps with the BNP headlining. The far right nostalgia tour has been sold out for months now.
  20. I don't really know much about the Man City case but did watch a video where the impression I got was that Everton, Forest and the others were easy to spot (it's in their accounts) whereas the accusations against City and Chelsea are that they've cooked their books which is obviously more serious and potentially criminal. It's also why the investigations are taking so long - they're cases that hold a lot of jeopardy. Could be wrong on that, seems quite complicated.
  21. Typical TV debate and won't change any minds. Thought Sunak did better than I expected initially but then came across as a cock by constantly interrupting. Starmer needed to shut down the 2k tax thing quicker and remind everyone who had raised taxes to their highest level in 70 years. Seems pretty clear Labour aren't going to make any grand pledges but also needs to be more positive when asked what Labour would do on stuff. National Service proposal is an open goal even Che couldn't miss - needs to double down on that too. I guess Starmer is never going to be a brilliant orator and Sunak is an irritating prick. Doubt I'll bother watching any of the others.
  22. Sounds like some weird fantasy politics game and can't really see it happening. Would probably be the nail in the coffin for more moderate Tory voters so that 35% would probably look more like 25%.
  23. Apparently Trump is complaining that some of the witnesses on his side were "literally crucified" which hopefully gives the judge some ideas when it comes to sentencing....
  24. Don't live in a zoo?
  25. So the Tories want to bring back national service. Proof if needed that they’re fucking mad.
