Yes you did. You stated before the game you weren't worried about the performance just the result. Then you moan about the performance. Anything to moan about eh? -
Saints V Orient Post Match Reaction Thread
revolution saint replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
So you want us to grind out a result no matter what. We do that and you change the goalposts? Why not just say we should be champions league material and then you can moan all you like? Yes, that's why people dislike you - because you're not only negative but dull, very dull. Nothing inciteful from you just moaning as usual. By the way I'm not really sure why you care - you gave up on the playoffs around about the Exeter draw so surely anything closer (to the playoffs) is a result? Oh but it's you isn't it? The perennial dull one who just enjoys moaning....... -
Should we have a referendum regarding....

Certainly deserves a referendum. I'm undecided about whether it's a good idea though. To be honest I'd rather have a fully elected House of Lords. -
The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Assuming we're in league 1 then Antonio and Waigo have done enough for me to get permanent deals and probably Semi too. I reckon we need a decent dominating centre mid as well. Not a box to box player but someone who puts his stamp on the game and runs it. It appears Stock can do this though I've never seen him play. Someone mentioned Carsley and that's a great shout. Not sure if he's getting games at Brum and he'll be 37 next Feb but he'd be that old head we hoped Wotton would be. Apparently Graveson is considering coming out of retirement as well. -
Well it says that Swindon are actually a pretty decent team at this level. Was that your point?

See the persecution complex is coming on well. As I see it at the start of the season there were a few people who thought that the playoffs were not only a realistic target but anything less would be a disappointment. Most people thought playoffs would be great and could be achieved but probably unlikely. Most people haven't adjusted their expectations and still see this as a pretty good season. It's only the ones who've repeatedly stamped their feet and moaned because we're not closer to the playoffs that have had to adjust their expectations and they have taken a bit of stick. So to sum up; I'm not going to give you any credit for changing your opinion to one that thinks the playoffs are unlikely - most of us thought that at the start of the season.

I'd love to know what his goals per minutes on the pitch ratio compared to other players is. I was undecided about signing him a few months ago but for 500K and if you accept that at times he'll be frustrating then his goals justify buying him. He's also a funny fella so why not?

I remember a conversation at work when talk Sport first went on the airwaves. One bloke said, "talk sport? more like talk b****cks." I decide to listen to it after that. He was right.

Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction
revolution saint replied to Block 5's topic in Golden Posts
Just got back as well. Good day out, caught the 8.18 from Totton which was packed to the rafters and not really that much fun after two hours. Waterloo station was amazing though - Just loved how we seemed to be everywhere. The metropolitan pub on Baker street equally packed but a good atmosphere. I thought the stadium was impressive but I didn't like the acoustics - couldn't hear what song was being sung and when you could it seemed all three sides were singing at different paces. However, visually it was great and despite being top tier the view was still good. Despite the acoustics the atmosphere was great. Thought Carlisle did OK but didn't offer much up front. Once we got over the first ten minutes we were much better and Lambert seemed such a threat. We actually created some great chances without it seemed dominating possession. Seems churlish to criticise a player but Wotton didn't have the greatest of games. Thought Lallana was good in most of our best attacking moves. In some ways scoring four may have flattered us but on the other hand we had several other great chances that we didn't convert. Lallana could have had a great goal if Waigo hadn't got in the way (not his fault though!). Anyway, great day and felt brilliant to see Saints take over the capital. -
Stop and Spare a Thought on Sunday

I think he'd have liked this. 3 years ago and it still seems like yesterday. -
Definitely a classic but my favourite Jam song changes by the week. Have you got "Extras"? Some great acoustic and demos on there.
-
Yeah it's alright - different song though.

* Official * Wembley Seating Plan Thread

Block 531 row 8. I don't care - was in the last row at the back at Cardiff and still loved it. -
Did anyone have a successful postal application for Wembley?
revolution saint replied to wimbornesaint's topic in The Saints
Mate got 5 of us tickets via postal application and all tickets have arrived. I can't contact him though. I blame the ticket office staff. -
Shame, great commentator. I much preferred him over Reg Gutteridge although both were good in their own way.

I'm looking around for a car in the supermini class (well I think they call it that these days). It'll need to be in the 3-4k price range. It doesn't need to be really sporty but I would like something that will be OK on the motorway, most of my driving will be the slow daily commute though. Any recommendations or horror stories?
-
Always difficult to make comparisons but Rickie's been fantastic this season - just to get to 30 goals is a hell of an achievement. I was looking on youtube this morning at some of his goals for brizzle rovers and it shows that yesterdays stunner is not unique.

Out of interest, with so many conflicting opinions by even those that went to the game, how do you form your opinion?
-
I wouldn't say this annoys me but I did find it funny. There was a fella a couple of rows in front of me last night who either had just got a new iphone/iTouch thingy (don't know which and don't care) or was totally addicted to it who was constantly checking the score of guess what match? Yes, that's right - the one he was watching . Did he think Sky would get quicker updates than his eyes?

I particularly liked the idea to ban renaming the divisions and to go back to division 1 being division 3.
-
An incompetent ref will get things wrong for both sides but this ref was consistently calling bad decisions in leeds favour. He was without doubt the worst ref I've seen. The penalty/goal disallowed decision was unbelievable and I got the impression he tried to be "strong" by not doing what refs normally do when they've made a mistake and even up the score. If that was a premiership referee then I'm glad we don't play in that division. Quite simply awful. The guy was a joke.

Normally have a drink in the Varsity as well. Would be suprised if it had been allocated as an away pub - it's normally packed before the game.
