Just heard we're in contact with Fraser Forster's agent about a move this summer. Sounds great but I doubt it. Agents spout cr@p all the time and we can't assume its true just because Celtic haven't denied it. We have denied any contact has been made about our players so why believe one rumour and not another, particularly when our Director has made a balls out statement that nothing has happened, and will only happen if the club and manager want it to. If MoPo stays, he'll want Shaw, Lallana, Spiderman, Chambers, Lovren, JRod etc to stay. Convince the manager, and he can convince the players. All aboard!!

The question is whether Reed is lying, or whether money-grabbing agents and press trying to sell stories are. I know which I think is most likely. Speculation will never go away as we've got so much talent but it doesn't seem in KL's ethos to authorise lies, so despite the interest in our players it seems clear that no offers have been officially made. Get MoPo to sign and hopefully the rest will follow suit.

Goalkeeper and centre mid. Pull out all the stops to get those two quality players in. They're the only positions in the first 11 than are in real need of improvement. I have faith in the rest of the team. We can't go out and buy a top class 22, cover for every position like when Abramovich came in at Chelsea so focus on first 11.

Agreed. Confidence in the keeper is paramount to a solid defence, which in turn gives the midfield confidence to push forward and support the attack. Look at Arsenal; they'll never win the league due to no confidence in their keepers. We suffer the same affliction. I also agree about an experienced old head at the back. It would be great to get someone like Friedel in if we go up for next season. Doesn't look like he's getting a new contract at Villa so who knows? Of course, just a small matter of going up first. It will help if we had confidence in our GK, and its not their with old Kelvin.

As a supposed ex-keeper who played at a high level it amazes me that you fail to mention the most important thing he should have done - yelled at the top of his voice that it was his ball and claimed it. KD is hopeless but you don't seem to know what your talking about son.

If we do go up this season we will be coming straight back down with Kelvin in goal. He has never been good enough for us, certainly not when we were in the Championship and even in League 1 he's bobbins. I have faith that as an ex-keeper Nigel will have realised this and will get either Bart or a newbie in over the summer. I firmly believe we'd still be in the championship if we'd played Bart rather than KD when we were there. In fact I'd go as far as to say we could have beaten Derby in the Championship playoff semi if we played Bart rather than KD. If that had happened then who knows, we could have have gone up... dreams....

These are the games that make me love football. I think pragmatism can be put aside for this one.

So you wouldn't call yourself a football romanticist then?

I think a lot of "fans" on here have forgotten that our greatest ever player was something of a luxury who often cruised through games seemingly doing very little but then could pick out that perfect pass or produce a bit of magic that was worth the ticket price on its own. If Guly has only a fraction of that talent then its still probably worth persevering with and giving him an extended run in the side to see if he improves and produces more frequently. He offers a bit more than Barnard or Connolly I think so give him a chance and ease up on the vitriol.

As stated in my post, yes he is good enough at this level, just not at a promotion-chasing top Championship side as we were a few years back when nickh used to say the same things he is now - "he's a great Championship GK" etc. I was addressing that point of view from him, as plainly stated. Read the post you were replying to again, mush, and try thinking what the words mean when put together in order. Oh dear.

That is the same tired old line you have been spouting even when he was between the sticks in our play-off semi-final v Derby, Nick. So, will you now admit he wasn't good enough for us when we were promotion chasing to the Prem? Do you finally agree he is a 3rd tier keeper? Quite what it is you have for KD is alarming. He's ok at this level, but was NEVER good enough for us when were 6th in the Championship. He cost us so many points that season, and the next. You have a very chequered memory Nick, but at least be man enough to now admit that you were wrong about him that season. Do it, or you cannot command any respect for your opinions as they are being shown for what they are. Anyway, sunny day, keep smiling!

Does anyone genuinely want to sell their ticket? Reading a lot of posts saying its "embarrassing" and "worthless" but some of us really want to go but couldn't get tickets. Fancy cashing in or are you just pretending we're far too superior to appear in this final at Wembley? Sell, or shut it.
