Danny has been already on the books of a VERY BIG top 6 club, indeed the PL champions no less but it didn't suit him to be on their bench so he left. Not many people would have had the strength of character to do that. I doubt he would even contemplate leaving us to join a second rate outfit like Spurs after his top level exposure and experiences. He seems very hungry for week-in week-out football not just the odd cameo at the whim of a half-crazed crackpot manager.

I paid £10 to watch this, worth every penny 😉 One thing that is different this season is the mid-half refreshment and coaching break. Maybe there was something in those energy drinks?

Sounds just like Redmond to me.

Hope he doesn't fall asleep its so easy - CAZOO!

Totally agree. No idea why people take up these hostile positions when they know next to nothing about the player other than the rubbish they read on here. We have precious few precocious talents in our squad, Djenepo will be the only one if Boufal is moved on and let's be frank about it Djenepo has hardly set the world alight since his much trumpeted arrival here as one of Hasenhüttl's new breed.

Surely Danny will stay as long as we are a successful team. If we have a good season and genuinely challenge for Europe then there is no reason why a local lad who has supported the club since he was a toddler would want to leave. Yes he might get more money at a big club but it's not all about money, in any case Saints no doubt would make it attractive enough for him to stay here without making a song and dance about it.

Self contradictory. Only you have suggested that, Mr Muppet... Only joking! Otherwise a sluggish performance with a touch of lazy arrogance about it but main factor was that we were not ready, individually or as a team. Physically and tactically we need to get our heads down and get working hard this week with two tough games coming up. Ralph clearly was aware of this in his pre-match remarks but how much of our energy and rhythm can we get back before next weekend?

Brilliant business. No Added Value and £20m profit. What's not to like?

You've answered your own contradiction JRM, it is precisely because of these 'ridiculous' restrictions (as you call them) that we have very low hospital admissions and minimal unnecessary deaths. Surely you don't want us to go back to the scenario facing us in March with 1000 people dying ever day. We have had 6 months to learn how to handle this virus and we are a lot wiser now than when it started. The time to relax is when we have a viable vaccine, until then we are buying time and living as close to normal lives as possible.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

That's alright then, we don't have any assets to be stripped -
Pity BT don't do day passes like Sky.

Probably a fake written to take the piss especially as it has been "leaked". Don't believe a word of it.
-
Very pleased to read this. If Ralph sees something in him then keep him. He might yet surprise a lot of people on here.

It is almost certain that there will be a big announcement around then. Biden takes over from Trump! 🤞 -
It's not a level playing field 'though, is it. Somebody like Ward Prowse who was always the club's favourite poster boy (one of our own crap) when loads of fans were tearing their hair out with frustration over his ineptitude and lack of basic abilities was persisted with week after week when he didn't deserve his place in the team. On the other hand many naturally gifted and talented players like Boufal have never been given more than a few starts at a time before they were judged negatively and seemingly permanently. Redmond's another who has been persisted with and in the eyes of the club and fans has now become a 'great' player for us, but we all lived that agonising journey as well. Funny too that no other clubs are in for our stars. Just saying.

It doesn't look very good when you write it down like that does it. You posit what might happen if we get a few injuries which is almost certainly going to happen at some stage but let me also ask what happens if we start badly and we start struggling near the bottom again. Most on here seem to have dismissed this possibility on the basis of the end of season run that saw us storm the last 9 matches of the season and move up the table. It is assumed we will just carry on as before but what if we don't and the **** starts flying about again. Very few of our second string choices seem capable of stepping up to the plate if push comes to shove and we need new energy, new options and a new direction.

Come on chaps, this has gone on for long enough. Can't you just agree to disagree and leave it at that and perhaps in future even ignore one another. We can all read your points of view and where they differ we can make up our own minds a bout who we believe.

Tiss, Thompson and Charlie Sacked from GSS

If you cannot answer your own question then best not to ask it of others eh.. -
Very good indeed

If that quote is verbatim, then it is highly insulting and even possibly racist. Would he have said the same to Ward Prowse? It would be belittling to any person and an indication of underlying contempt and lack of respect. I would have been out the door as well.

Well said but Steve could help himself by being more transparent about the problems we're having and what he is doing to try and fix them. Are they fixable or are we riding a bum steer? If he needs help then he should ask for help, there is no shame in sharing the load. This site has moved on from being a personal enterprise.

Only made it through the maze twice in two weeks, tried everything three different browsers, Google, Siri every conceivable link. Just seems to be luck. Even when "in" it nearly always drops out again soon afterwards with "Bad Gateway" screen. Have almost given up.

Let's not judge him too harshly, if he really blossoms at Fulham in the PL he will still be our player. What's not to like.
