  1. I blame it on that stubbly beard. It doesn't work for him.
  2. The elephant in the room is Southgate. Compare him with Hasenhuttl for example.... Time for a change? Not Ralph of course!
  3. Maybe we've bought another bum steer?
  4. Armstrong has C19 so cannot possibly play. Assume Djenepo but may be Walcott. If Salisu is not on the bench are we seeing another Danso situation? 2-2 for this one.
  5. How does that work if you want to end up with 18 teams? Surely 4 would be relegated as two get auto promotion, so it's the 5th bottom who would join the playoffs of 3rd, 4th & 5th from the Championship
  6. Isn't it only until the ned of October. Presumably they will review after that.
  7. ...and you wouldn't have believed the vitriol on here towards this "useless player who wasn't fit to wear a Saints shirt"......
  8. So how many England International's are in our team now, I make it 6.
  9. Stick to your guns and ignore the pedants.
  10. Probably but he won't be eligible for the Everton match a week later
  11. 16th
  12. All the bitterness and hatred dissipated at a stroke. Now time for gushing obsequiousness.
  13. Never a truer word....
  14. Beggars cannot be choosers.
  15. Our speed and energy seemed to take them by surprise. Two nicely taken goals from open play confirmed our overwhelming superiority. We are very good at beating very poor teams....
  16. Romeu has comprehensively out-performed Ward-Prowse this season so don't just assume that it is Romeu's place at risk.
  17. No player seems to have spilt opinion on here more than Sofiane Boufal; his time at Saints will be remembered by many as one of sadly unfulfilled potential for whatever reasons and that wonderfully unforgettable solo goal against WBA that lit up St Mary's just a few short seasons ago. Only a spiteful and malevolent few will say "good riddance" which in itself is testimony to the uncertainty surrounding his departure bearing in mind the opprobrium heaped on the hapless trio of Carillo, Hoedt and Forster. By all accounts Sofiane seems to be a lovely lad who fits in with his colleagues more than with management. I doubt we will ever know the full story of why he was so frequently out of favour. That seems to be behind us now so we should all wish him well in his new career and thank him for being a loyal uncomplaining Saint these past few years. Thanks for the memories Sofiane and bon chance!
  18. Hasenhüttl doesn't change a winning team usually however dire the circumstances of that win, so it's a pretty safe bet that Vestergaard will play. Anyway, Stephens needs to up his game a bit to justify selection, he was asleep at the wheel on numerous occasions against Spurs.
  19. I like the idea of the Bindippers being a feeder club for Southampton. They've got an Egyptian bloke who looks like he could be of some use to us.
  20. He didn't seem very happy today did he, a bit edgy and disengaged. Certainly not his usual confident, bouncy self. Maybe suggests things are not going to plan.
  21. There is certainly good old fashioned honest money floating about even in the UK. ASDA has just been bought back into UK ownership from US retail giant Walmart by the billionaire Issa brothers in a £6.8bn deal. Our Brexit supporting local Oil billionaire has b*gg*r*d off to Monaco (EU?) so we can't keep our hopes up of him being interested.
  22. Is that a hunch or do you know something? What's afoot? 0/10 for anybody who says 12 inches
  23. Looking ominously familiar. 4 days to go.
