Jack is back!

The biased cretin really wound me up especially second half when they rarely got out of their own half yet he was still using expressions like "they could put this game out of sight"! Sky should sack the bustard.

What a player we have in Jay Robinson, this boy is going to be a super star. Hope we can hold onto him for a couple of years.
-
No it isn't, its on Sky Sports at 11.00am
-
This part of his job is vitally important, it is one of the few 'face to face' contacts that fans will have with him. A lack of energy and enthusiasm on the public platform will reflect in fans moods and expectations.

BBC Radio Solent Saints fans forum 7th August 6pm
Charlie Wayman replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Overall not a bad Q & A session, some good questions, one or two less so but covering most of the ground that one could reasonably expect to be covererd. Not many happy fans in the room apparently judged by many miserable looking faces around the room. For me a really uninspiring top table with Adam doing his best to make the get together worthwhile by dragging answers out of the panel. Nobody from SR tells its own story. What a second rate bunch of people we have at the top. People sing the praises of Spors but he said nothing of interest last night that we didn't know already and his high valuation of Stevens beggars belief. For all the world it seems to me that he hasn't got his feet under the table yet, let alone started to make a significant impression on football matters. For sure, Parsons will hang him out to dry if this season goes tit's up, as he hinted at yesterday. The assistant manager came across as a bit of a plodder, mouthing the right platitudes that less critical fans like to hear but in fainess he was probably chucked in at the deep end atthe last minute covering the enforced absence of Still. Parsons is Parsons, mediocrity came to my mind as he laboured through his well thumbed playbook of meaningless poltical claptrap answers. Through trying to come across as one of the 'boys' and one sensed an edginess in his demeanour, hinted at a growing uncertainty of his own place in the organisation so an unwillingness to push far beyond the prepared script. 7/10 -
What memories would that be then? He's been here for about five minutes and done nothing of note to help our team forward. He won't be missed simply because there was nothing there to be missed.

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?

Imagine Stephens as first team coach……... -
Great news but none of them will be any where near match fit for Saturday so don't expect to see any of them on the pitch.
-
I like your team. Surely the best way to go.
-
I doubt Still knows his best XI yet so is likely to get team selection wrong at the start; we might be all at sea as we were against Brighton early on. Wrexham are clearly on a mission and will be buoyed by their recent success and the publicity bubble that they are enjoying. They seem to be unstoppable at the moment so I can see us losing the first half 0-2. If Still can recover the team formation with subs hopefully we will mount a comeback of sorts but I am not optimistic we will have enough to get a result. 1-2 to Wrexham

Silly season is here once again
-
He seems pretty depressed about the state of things. If he's worried then we should be too.
-
Not sure where that pearl of wisdom came from, it was the change of formation and personnel that improved Saints. We were much more threatening and cohesive playing with wing backs.
-
Surely Bree, Manning and Fraser should be binned for good, Archer too for my money. Robinson looks a class act, after all the hype surrounding Dibling it looks like we may have an even better gem fom the Academy. Good to see B ragg back in contention. Fernandes ill my arse!
-
It'll be Still's first appearance in front of the Saints fans so judgement day for him as well. Huge defeat and and he will get his first taste of this crowd's derision.
-
Heaven forbid yet another of our Academy old boys makes a high profle return to SMS only to sit on the bench all season nursing a broken ego.
-
Unfortunately, nobody is interested in our dross. We will struggle no doubt about that. The idea that some on here have of automatic promotion is laughable.
-
Not if a lot of them have been moved on.
-
Quite. If supposedly we are building a team that can compete in the PL then why on earth would we even consider selling our most gifted young players? Fernades, Dibling & Harwood-Bellis surely are key core players around whom we should be rebuilding our future. I cannot envisage any discernible strategy that allows the club to sell any of these players and still hope to reach the PL and stay there. What folly to sell your seed corn and expect to survive the ensuing famine.

There's a pay wall stoppng access, what does it say? League 2 here we come!

Jan Bednarek - Official: Signs for Porto
Charlie Wayman replied to Pamplemousse's topic in The Saints
Nice message from Jan Bednarek. He's been a good servant to this club, He should leave with our blessing and good wishes for his future. Thanks Jan. -
I've thought often that people use initials because; a) they can't remember the player's names b) they can't spell the player's names c) they can't pronounce the player's names Isn't it just laziness?

To be fair Elyonoussi was a stylish half decent player who happened not to fit our system at the time. In a better team he would have been far more effective. He had some good moments for us.
