  1. Good call after all. 3-4-3 has surprised me but with Elyounoussi down with Covid maybe Ralph's options were limited.
  2. Broja still has a great deal to prove, it's not a given that he will break through to become a top PL striker. There are flaws in his game for all to see. If Chelsea decide that he is not good enough for them why would we stump up £20m + for his signature when there may be better youngsters out there.
  3. Very unlikely, if Ralph plays that way then he automatically loses one of his in-form midfielders Romeu, JWP & Diallo. I expect him to start more or less where he left off on Saturday and whilst some players will last longer than others he will take the risk and haul them off when they're knackered. For me it's a no brainer especially with SArmstrong nowhere near match-fit enough to start. Forster JWP Bednarek Salisu Perraud Romeu Diallo Redmond Elyounoussi Tella Broja Why wouldn't he start with his current best eleven as this is in effect a six pointer? A good win and Saints are knocking on the door of the top ten. Some tough games coming up so this one is a 'must' win that we need to win. I'm going for 2-0.
  4. I still don't know what you are talking about. Never mind. Some people need to find fault with everything. Time to look in the mirror old cock.
  5. What on earth are you talking about.
  6. Good game to watch and satisfied with the performance and the result. Good to see the website hate figures doing well. Well done Elyounoussi, Long and Forster - hope that will shut up your critics for a while. Diallo was outstanding and JWP probably just about deserved his MotM. A Armstrong has some work to do to prove he was worth the £18m or whatever it was we paid for him Tuning in to BBC Wales was a doddle and the coverage was first class.
  7. We played them in a friendly pre-season if you remember. We won 1-0 there. We beat Cardiff 4-0 so they must be better than the Blues.
  8. Well, Ralph says we are no longer a selling club. HOO-bloody-RAY! That sounds like a decent promise.
  9. Lovely lad. I'd rather him be the new Sterling ... and.. and... when he is scoring for fun and his contract is up for renewal we don't have to sell him and he wants to stay a Saint.
  10. Sure, but what if Marcus had shopped elsewhere? Where would we be then.
  11. I wonder if Katerina by retaining her small investment in SFC is an emotional nod to her late father's passion for the club? If so good on her.
  12. Sounds more like gobble-de-gook, full of big-picture ambition but no strategy for getting there

  14. and on Freeview?
  15. Really tough call for the lad but the right one. I understand that he's a quite bright lad so he has time to embark on a professional career and football will not have left him out of pocket luckily. Good luck for your future Sam.
  16. For me the teams most watchable are Man City, Viera's Crystal Palace, Wolves and Chelsea. The least watchable are Everton, Burnley, West Ham and Leicester City. The rest I can take or leave, probably mostly leave.
  17. We certainly didn't have this on-off nonsense last year. Shut it all down for a month or two and then start again. How is this learning to live with Covid?
  18. What's the latest news on Ralph Hasenhüttl?
  19. Of course, Forster was kicking it our deliberately.
  20. Utter rollocks were you watching at all ?
  21. Arguably our finest performance of this season, without Salisu's madness we seemed well on course for a resounding victory. Outstanding performance from JWP and Perraud ensured we kept the pressure on Spurs in the first half and some tidy defensive work and solidity in midfield negated the usual Spurs dynamic midfield. Forster acquitted himself well and good to see him mopping up and generally owning our defensive third. He was certainly up for this match and presumably determined to silence his critics. Well done Fraser JWP was excellent and his well taken goal worthy of GotM. Wow! He is in a rich vein of form and we must hope it continues and he doesn't get injured. How much better is KWP on the right and how much better is he than Livramento as a defender. Stuart Armstrong started well but faded quickly, it will be a while before he his back to his best. What intrigued me was the semi-forced wholesale changes to our team yet the fringe players played with rare determination and flair and a drive that is often missing when Ralph's more favoured players are selected regularly. It raises the question of if he really knows his best XI and what criteria he uses to pick his players. Frankly on this performance we didn't miss any of them. It will be fascinating to see who gets the nod at the weekend. Highly satisfying night all round and although I watched on Prime rather than attend SMS the broadcaster captured the atmosphere and tension perfectly.
  22. By all means enjoy a wee tipple over Christmas but it seems you've had your head in a barrel.
  23. He rarely does anything more than stroll about in our midfield. Not sure United need more passengers.
  24. Yes but only half the story as their second goal came from the same passage of play as we did not win the ball cleanly after the collision
  25. Based on today's lazy performance? He did BA of any use.
