It ought to be.

It is far too early to expect too much from Hasenhüttl's hopefuls, they need time to settle to the pace and physicality of the PL and to gel together sufficiently to develop the automatism that we have seen occasionally in the past. The period up to the WC break will be mainly one of learning their trade and developing consistency as individual players. After the break with luck we will see the beginnings of a new more exciting era for Saints on the pitch as work concentrates more on formations and partnerships. For now it will be business pretty much as usual with erratic team selections and substitutions interspersed with missed opportunities up front and calamitous lapses in concentration at the back. I cannot see us taking the world by storm just yet. Leicester also have their problems with players leaving or unsettled by speculation. On balance though they have better quality than us in too many positions and they have home advantage so I'm going for 2-1 or even 3-1 to the Foxes.

One thing is for certain, his demeanour has changed at his press conferences. Bit too much sarcasm in his replies now and much more evasive about player matters. Looks edgy and uncomfortable at times as though his every word is being scrutinised from above. Not the relaxed, confident, cheerful chappie of yester-year. Probably is the 12 game thing hanging over him.

Especially now that talk of his testimonial has started!

...but what is the point of them when they are as disingenuous as this one. Ralph makes it up as he goes along and the Semmens utterances are condescending bullish*t.
-
Total rubbish

Trains leave stations, boats leave ports 😉 (saved you some obvious vetting from the site's favourite fat controller) It is not uncommon for Ralph's train to be half empty when it leaves the Window station. One reason for that is he never reveals the destination.

You should have gone to Specsavers mate! Maya was an outstanding leader on the field and was Japan Captain. Yes he was in the team that lost 9-0 but he was also in our successful teams under previous managers and served us well for many years. JWP was in the 9-0 thrashings yet he is revered, would you say that he was a disgrace and that his presence is indicative of how we have gone downhill?

You refer to Ralph, Martin & Toby when you really mean Hasenhüttl, Semmens & Steele. Relations between the club and fans are at rock bottom so the notion of personalising relationships is farcical. They don't give a fishes tit about the views of fans as is pretty obvious when they have to endure being in the same room as us riff riff for one hour. I'll bet they were in their cars within 30 seconds of the final whistle. As for blabber mouth Blackmore, he just had to let us know that he had just secured another 3 year contract with the Beeb. He has no self awareness, never shuts up, hogs all the attention, asks his own questions rather than fans and generally irritates the F out of everybody. It's not about you Blackmore!!! A disastrous evening. The smug, self satisfied complacency on show here will take us down. We really need a total clean sweep of all this lot - excluding Marion of course

What is it they say, never ask a question to which you don't know the answer
-
Of course the rot starts at the top, Semmens is an arrogant fraud and should have been booted out along with Hasenhüttl long ago. They're all bloody 'yes' men up there with itchy backs.

Did Diallo steal your girlfriend or something?

Why not you?

I fixed it for you.

It's bl👀dy obvious that Hasenhüttl is the problem and it has been bl👀dy obvious for a bl👀dy long time. Still far too many wets on here finding excuse for our dear Ralphie; "he's part of SR's new project" "needs more time to bed in youngsters" "what do you expect with the players and the coaches he has at his disposal" "it's only one game, too early to make a judgement" "usual bedwetters panicking after one match against a top top top top top top team" As long as this sentimental twaddle pervades the corridors of this forum and no doubt the corridors of St Mary's we will be stuck with the clueless twit. With a sell-by-date that expired at least a year ago this bloke is way past the point where he is of any use to us. Get him out before he wreeks the place.

Jo Tessem won't last long if he hogs the mic and talks over Adam all the time. He's getting on my wick. This is heading for 6 or 7-1
-
You gotta be kidding' me! Does he never learn?

One day soon we will be fielding a whole team of French players, who knows if all the potential is realised we may be the French national team.
-
Even if we finish 19th and they finish 20th which is certainly a possibility?
-
How dare you bring common sense and intelligent analysis to this forum.
-
Stop worrying, you'll end up depressing all of us.
-
To be fair it was pretty obvious to most that he didn't show enough quality or score enough goals to justify the hype or alleged price tag. Now we are down to the nuts and bolts end of the transfer window it is also telling that other PL clubs aren't exactly queuing up for his signature.
-
No he isn't he's mediocre at best and doesn't score many goals which his day job. That's all there is to it. He isn't intelligent enough to lead the line. One-on-one he misses every time and most of his attempts on goal are thoughtless power drives. I suspect Ralph has had enough of him. Anything over £15m and he won't believe his luck.

Too much speculation. KWP is joint first on the team sheet, plays PL football every week, is in contention for a regular starting slot with the national team and no doubt earns a shed load of money even though other clubs might offer him more. Put to the test Saints surely would be able to find a few old five bob notes crumpled up at the back of the sofa to reward his loyalty. Looking from the outside he comes across as a very decent bloke of superb character, the sort of lad you'd be proud to have as a son-in-law. If he is treated well by the club (as I am sure he is), why would he want away to a London club who might promise him the earth now but at the next managerial change (due soon) would hang him out to dry all over again. He had to endure all that crap at Spuds from that know-all Portuguese loud mouth so he's learned his trade the hard way and is unlikely to be gullible enough to have his head turned and swallow all that stuff again. Mark my words, KWP won't be leaving us anytime soon.

Absolutely this must not happen. It must not!!!!
