It remains fact that apart for reciting OWTS over and over and over again, our fans have little else to offer in chants or songs. Compared with some clubs the lack of originality fro fans offerings is embarrassing especially the excruciatingly moronic "Whoooooo's that B****** accompanying goal kicks of the opponent. That this seems to pass as humour in the Northam is a sad indictment of them but when heard on TV makes all Saints fans look like a bunch of brain challenged idiots.

If it's not against the rules then why would we seek to avert suspicion? Everything is fair in love and war like using subs in the 4 minutes of injury time to break up patterns of play and run the clock down. Within the rules if not within the spirit. I would be more suspicious about what's in the energy drinks that suddenly revives players and keeps them going for another half-hour.

On the other hand he scares defenders witless when he is on the ball and never stops chasing against the ball. I'm sure the coaches are in his ear all week but having the maturity to think outside the box, look around and analyse best options as he is running with the ball will take a little time to develop. At the moment he is an exciting prospect but needs time to improve his all round game just as Che Adams and Mohammed Elyounoussi have done.

Isn't that because ticket sales are sub contracted to Ticketmaster and this is their fee? It's pretty much standard practice across the entertainments industries now. Not so long ago I bought tickets for BBC Prom concerts in person at the ticket office in the Royal Albert Hall but was still charged a booking fee. Ticketmaster seem to have a stranglehold on event ticket sales these days and venues seem only too happy to rid themselves of the chore (outsourcing in business speak - Effing Rip off in fan speak).

If/when safe staying is allowed the capacity should automatically increase, remember the The Dell attendance record from the standing days was way above the final seating capacity.

We have heard all this stuff about our football philosophy, fully integrated management and pathways and so on many times before from Semmens over the course of the last two or three years but it seems to me that something else has happened recently as well to trigger this sudden change in our fortunes. For example, why is it that only now are players like Forster and Elyounoussi suddenly coming good after a few years in the wilderness? Surely it is still the same management team and the same coaching staff as before. If it wasn't working then, why is it working now? Describing success with hindsight begs the question of whether the club even now really understand their own recent success fully.

Jenas is a self opinionated pain in the arse, his arrogant rant about Ralph shows that he knows next to bugger all about football management and his attempts to belittle Danny Murphy on Saturday evening were little short of sickening. Who gave this jumped up nobody a licence to monopolise MotD. Get him off air FFS! ... and this too from BBC's Crook having begrudgingly conceded that two Saints players were worthy of his team of the week. Absolute Tit! "The man at the heart of a splendid week for the Saints was, without doubt, Ward-Prowse. He was outstanding against Tottenham in midweek, producing two excellent assists. I've been singing the praises of this gifted midfielder for some time now, (Oh! Really?) and his performances for Southampton only seem to get better. Pity the Echo dropped the ball by binning "The Pink". Always a great Saturday night read with the added frisson of being hot off the press; twas almost miraculous in the pre Gates era to get home from a match at the Dell, pick up the paper and read about the game you had just seen.

I wouldn't put the improvements in some of our players down to Broja's presence at all. It is partly luck, partly perseverance and better game management and Ralph has found at last an XI that gels well together. We've become a side that is not only hard to beat but can be relied on to score goals. Broja is a good striker but quite selfish and blinkered in possession and has squandered as many chances as he has scored goals by simply not making critical passes to team mates inside the box.

The result some of us expected after Wednesday night's performance. We looked leggy at the start but rallied really well with our second wind and took the game to them when they lost their concentration. Superbly worked equaliser and brilliant finish from Adams. Broja was not quite there today but did enough to panic their defence more than once. I must admit our line out routine against free kicks scares the willies out of me and it amazes that opposition teams haven't figured out how to beat the tactic. Now for a rest for us and the team. We have become a very good team and seem to have a genuine chance of beating anybody home or away. Roll on Everton, play like we have this past week or so and we should be comfortable winners next weekend. Let's suggest 3-0 for openers?

I don't think so, no manager will change a winning team certainly not one that gelled so successfully as last night. As for Mo Elyounoussi, on last night's showing he is undroppable. He and Stuart Armstrong were the most formidable 10's pairing we have fielded all season.

Really? Surely this is the same team that most people on here were slagging off as relegation fodder a few short weeks ago. Don't know if you were one of them. Amazing how short fans memories are.

Two and a half years is not 'soon' by any measure, as the man himself observed he could be fired long before then. There is also every prospect that he will be offered a new contract and will sign it. Two and a half years in a young player's career is a huge proportion of their football life expectancy and a critical period of learning. If they feel Ralph is the man to help them fulfil their dream of reaching the very top then they will continue to want to come here and work under him. He has a track record of doing just that. Like you, I love his good natured banter and transparency during interviews which suggests he is a very honest and decent person. I've had my fair share of ups and downs over his managerial abilities like most on here but have come to the conclusion that he has achieved as much with this group of players as any manager could reasonably have expected to do.
