  1. The one in blue shirts that plays in West London?
  2. Good news and good luck to the lad. Another Shearer in the making but he's too good looking for that maybe? One thing they have in common is that central parting although Shearer's is a lot wider.
  3. I wonder what it says about a player who cannot command a regular starting slot at his club that he doesn't want away to try his luck at a different club. If football is his priority and he is not getting game time here then why would he want to stay? Is it just the money as contracts can be set aside easily these days?
  4. Sorry to show my ignorance but who is Ed Chamberlain?
  5. I doubt that. He is Welsh and probably would like to help the top Welsh club back into the Premier League.
  6. Brokenhurst Manor is pretty exclusive, mid 90's they had a 12 year waiting list for membership. Easier now but still plenty of snobbish old boys there.
  7. Broja is not good enough for Chelsea in my view and probably will be made available for transfer this summer. The question then will be do we really want him? My personal opinion is that he is too one dimensional and easy to work out and play against, hence his poor statistics. I would not bring him in personally, we have not seen enough to convince that he will be the future star that many are forecasting. Our recent track record at finding strikers has not been impressive, we have ended up with enough people like Adams and Armstrong cluttering up our wage bill and hard to move on to even get our money back. Broja has had his many chances to polish his credentials here but the more games he plays the less he impresses. We may have made Chelsea decision about his future easier for them but we should not fall into the trap of signing him just because he becomes available. People spiel the crap about his age but Livramento has proven the lie to that. If they're good enough they are old enough.
  8. Sounds very familiar. It goes on season after season. Proves our scouting is a bit hit and miss but that is to be expected in the segment in which we are shopping.
  9. In the Championship, yes! Was useless in the premier league.
  10. 1st April so expect a flood of nonsense stories today.
  11. If you think he is as bad as your expletives suggest why would you want him here at all even on loan. Sounds confused to me.
  12. Glass is half full old chap.
  13. Men always lie about their golf handicaps. Why is that? 10? Really Ralph, fess up. No shame in admitting one play's off even 24 if it's a genuine 24 with every card handed in. I once got down 15 but not for long!
  14. He has done well since his return from Celtic and has cemented his place in Ralph's Best XI displacing Redmond and Djenepo in doing so. It seems to me he is a better fit in the preferred 4-2-2-2 formation than the two wide men who conflict with the wing backs when attacking so reducing the number of bodies in the box and limiting attacks to crosses from the wings. With Ely and Armstrong tucking in to provide bodies in the box and reinforcing the midfield we seem to create far more chances even though our finishing still leaves a great deal to be desired. It is refreshing that he sees his future here and a welcome relief from the usual prime donna wannaway types that we usually get lumbered with. Give him a contract!
  15. Although Ralph assured us after the take-overthat we would no longer need to sell players in order to fund the purchase of new ones?
  16. Does a contract really mean anything these days? If another club came in with a decent offer for AM he'd be off so why can't we just offer him to others clubs if we want to?
  17. I like him but it is probably best all round if he and the Club go their separate ways. Too much baggage on here amongst fans for him to ever be able to completely redeem himself in their eyes; what's the point if everyone is just waiting for the poor sod to drop a goulie.
  18. Not before time either. Once he's in the side he will be very hard to displace. Well done Kyle and keep up the good work.
  19. Quite right. Ralph can be a daft bugger at times.
  20. You cannot be serious
  21. Palace are an improving side under Viera, playing attractive football and proving hard to beat. Certainly no pushover but then nor are we.
  22. What's your problem with Elyounoussi, he was our only scorer on Sunday and almost had a brace. Redmond is a million light years away from match fitness and match effectiveness and is not a natural No 10, more an old fashion winger who will get in Perraud's way.
  23. Maybe but 2022 really will be a year to forget, maybe even the last year for all of us so there will be no memories at all.
  24. If we play as badly next weekend as we did today we will face humiliation on national TV. That ought to be motivation enough. Barring a miracle week in which every player rediscovers his best form and takes it onto the pitch next Sunday, one fears for the outcome.
