  1. Agree, he comes across as a bit naive with silly statements like "all my strikers score goals" when he hasn't even worked with our lot yet.
  2. You can't handle the truth my dreamy friend.
  3. What can we expect at Anfield with our morale at rock bottom after the confusion of the dismissal of one manager and the recruitment of a whole new coaching set up. If we keep them below 5 it will be seen as a good day's work. For me 6-1 to the Scousers will be an untimely reminder to Jones and the Board that this is the PL and the gulf in class is huge.
  4. Pep will be quaking in his boots. A serious rival at last 😬
  5. Why would anybody take any notice of SR's judgement as a seal of approval when we know b***** all about the man. Was it his judgement that kept Ralph here long after it was obvious to everyone else that he had run out of ideas and credibility and should have been shown the exit at the end of last season? Was it his judgement that Watson, Davies & the other coach were the people holding Ralph back and that they would be booted out? That worked out well didn't it? Now they're gone we seem to be in a worse mess than ever and it wasn't the solution anyway. Nope, you have to earn trust and respect before your judgement can be relied upon and we've seen nothing yet to put any of us in that position. OK if you own the Club then you can dictate pretty much what happens at management level without the accord of others least of all lapdog fans who cough up £50 odd quid every other week to watch the dire rubbish that is being served up but don't let's confuse the arrogance of ownership with good judgement. The appointment of Jones will in my view be an act of self harm that will see us drop a division and stay there for a very long time.
  6. If you are as you suggest ITK then pray tell us if it is only the Luton Hoo being interviewed or are there others?
  7. Handy to have 12 players as well. Let's hope the ref doesn't notice.
  8. Yes but is so obvious that I cannot be bothered.
  9. So is Jones his son in law or golf partner?
  10. Indeed. We might as well have given Nigel Adkins a second chance it would have been less of a speculative punt than appointing this unknown crackpot. ...and I was so looking forwards to going back to St Mary's now that The Austrian Flopp has left the building. If all that is on offer going forwards is the Luton Hoo then I won't be crossing the Rubicon anytime soon.
  11. Nathan (%$*&*$*!) Jones, this is even worse than shopping in the bargain basement. Since when have Charity shops been dealing in PL managers. Poor sod can't even afford razor blades. The board want us in the Championship next season for some reason, just can't put my finger on it?
  12. Surely you are not MLG after all? Best kept secret on the forum.
  13. Yeah but apart from that did you enjoy your day out?
  14. Probably not 100% match fit so on as a sub at 55 minutes.
  15. He has done nothing this season to even half justify selection for the England Squad. HIs whole career in fact has been more promise than manifestation. A few bright spells in an otherwise disappointing journey from Academy hopeful to team captain. I love his flawless character and good nature but he has never lived up to the hype as a footballer. Unquestionably he has benefitted from being the Club's poster boy, local (almost) lad who made good and burnished the image of the Academy in an age of rootless, badge kissing mercenaries, thus guaranteeing his place in the team whatever his level of performance.
  16. It may not be a matter of choice. With a squad load of Championship level dross and a bunch of unproven kids to work with the attraction for any new manager is hard to fathom
  17. Especially as in part 2 of his PC he deflected all the questions about the Club's programs for the WC break. Most unlike him to be so evasive, usually he is very forthcoming and up-front about everything. Arguably he is no longer in the loop and is just seeing his time out.
  18. You can't of course is the answer and as Ralph constantly reminds us this league is getting stronger and stronger each year. It is inevitable in my view that our current model will see us relegated possibly this year but if not this then very soon afterwards.
  19. Ralph wistfully reflecting on his career and his time here today in his PC. Could signal his exit soon.
  20. West Ham United have joined Southampton, Leicester City and Brentford in tracking Brazil winger Tete, 22, who is on loan at Lyon from Shakhtar Donetsk. (Sun)
  21. Lovely trip down memory lane but you forgot to mention the bogs?
  22. So, are we expecting this to be Hasenhüttl's home swan-song in the Premier League? How will you say Auf Weidersehn, with cheers or boos? ..and will it be with a last hurrah for his barmy 4-2-2-2 line up
  23. So we're playing 11 against 4, that will even things up a bit. Good chance of forcing a draw.
  24. ...and me. Obviously has an inflated sense of his own importance on here. No self-awareness whatsoever. Why are we talking about him even?
  25. Let's hope so!
