In any case the way Livramento was wandering around the pitch yesterday in what appeared to be a free ranging role then there would appear to be room for both, keep Kyle at RB and move Tino to attacking midfield. A midfield of Charles, Livramento & Ward Prowse should be good enough and the lad from Tottenham looks a very worthy back-up.

If you didn't catch it then try to find a link through BBC Sounds. It is simultaneously fascinating and harrowing but should not be missed by any Saints fan. I promise you you will see Adam Blackmore from now on in an entirely different light.

We are probably resigned to losing Kyle Walker-Peters so Abu would be understudy to Livramento assuming he stays with us. Not sure about Bree, doubt he has much of a future here.

Footballers are no different to the rest of us, who in general live to their means. Few could take a huge drop in salary and still maintain their current lifestyles. Despite their wealth they will have large mortgages and kids at expensive private schools and still the need to keep up with their particular set of Jones's. If they can get firm interest from a PL club they may have little choice but to accept whatever is on offer as it is bound to be more than we can pay them in the EFL Championship. A professional footballer's career is notoriously short so they are conditioned to think short term just to ensure that the gravy train keeps flowing and none of us would blame them.

Surely it's up to Martin who leaves and who stays and he needs time to work that out. Pre season started less than a week ago. You need to be patient. What other clubs do is absolutely irrelevant to what we do. What is it they say "Marry in haste, repent at leisure". We will see who's approach was best at Christmas.
