Music to the ears. 'Alignment' may be the new buzz word but Ralph's playbook was introduced at all levels in the Club so there's nothing new there really. Singing from the same hymn sheet clearly is not the be-all and end-all of successful football management. Hopefully Jason Wilcox has nouse that can't be translated into words emanating from his many years along side Pep and his team. In the end it comes down to people and often individuals who just know the right way of doing things.

Bad as many perceive him to be Lyanco is still light years better than Stephens. People forget very quickly how awful Stephens is. If we end up with him as first choice alongside Bednarek we can kiss goodbye to any promotion hopes this season

It isn't and it will take time. Obviously the players are trying to get used to the idea of one touch passing but at the moment it is painfully slow and that surely is obvious to all. Player 1 looks around for colleague in good safe position - passes slowly and carefully - player 2 receives ball - looks around - cogs whirring - passes slowly and carefully to another colleague in a good safe position and so on. One hopes in time it will be an automatic process with players always aware where their colleagues are and the manoeuvres executed at pace. To be fair it must be a challenging time for the coaching staff to try to teach this system to players many of whom probably won't be here much longer. So not only is it in part wasted effort but the wannaways and misfits are probably more than a tad half hearted and disinterested in making the whole shebang work anyway. They'll go along with it whilst they are here if only to get their fitness and sharpness levels up to snuff so they are ready to challenge at their new clubs. As soon as possible Martin must decide who he wants to stay and who will have to go and importantly who will leave for PL clubs. When he has this information then he can better select teams more representative of the XI that will take the field against The Owls. Ideally he should do this before the Reading game but certainly before the home friendlies at St Mary's. It'll take guts to tell players where they stand especially those that he perceives as having no future here but the nettle must be grasped urgently.

It will be the mid-weekers on a cold and blustery November evening that will sort it out. Especially if we are not setting the division alight I can see only about 15,000 hardy souls bothering to turn out.

Could be a smoke screen or more likely an indication that JWP is pretty low on their list of priorities. If the latter then I can't see much of a future for the lad there. Bloody insulting really. Then again it might have been all agent talk from the start.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
Charlie Wayman replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Nice try! If we had had a clause in Adams' contract that he couldn't leave until he'd scored 30 goal for us, we'd end up having to pay his pension. -
You really are a very unpleasant individual with a warped mind.

The fact that we have not said openly that "Tella is not for sale!" suggests to me that he is for sale but the price must be right. It also tends to confirm that the player wants to leave as Martin will have had that conversation with him from the get-go. If the Bindippers won't pay what we want for Lavia then the player stays. He looks happy here so probably not that bothered one way or t'other. Better get used to that up there on the Merseyside.

The Eagle eyed amongst you will notice that this pic is back to front. Wonder if the AI image software was programmed incorrectly?

"KWP is a tremendous player and one of the best RBs in the UK." - austsaint No doubt about that at all. AT ALL! Presumably 'though it's one or t'other in the selling stakes, perhaps depending on the highest offer received? If we get a bigger offer for Livramento than for Walker-Peters then maybe Tino goes and we hang onto Kyle. In any case the way Livramento was wandering around the pitch yesterday in what appeared to be a free ranging role then there would appear to be room for both, keep Kyle at RB and move Tino to attacking midfield. A midfield of Charles, Livramento & Ward Prowse should be good enough and the lad from Tottenham looks a very worthy back-up.

Keep up!

So far our passing accuracy is way up on last year. Stephens is a liability just get rid. Some of our kids look to be the real deal. JWP looks interested, reckon he's staying. Bree is not first choice RB hopefully. McCarthy is a dead loss, just get rid.

Certainly lifted spirits on here.

Did anybody catch the piece on Radio Solent this morning in which Adam Blackmore was interviewed about his lifelong weight problem and associated worries about self worth Compelling and moving, Adam laid bare his real life beyond the radio mic and his emotional problems stemming from childhood with acceptance and bullying because of his body weight and hair colour. If you didn't catch it then try to find a link through BBC Sounds. It is simultaneously fascinating and harrowing but should not be missed by any Saints fan. I promise you you will see Adam Blackmore from now on in an entirely different light.

Do we know if this means live TV or just a radio broadcast by Adam & Co? TV is usually referred to as streaming. Broadcast suggests radio.

Because he is a bloody good Clubman that's why and will not want to see Saints ripped off by a bunch of wide boy Eastenders who know the value of nothing and want everything for nothing. Too old at 28 my arse! They've got £100m to play FFS! Anyway, there's no hurry, if we are top of the league at the end of August, James might think he has a better and more lucrative future here. Let 'em wait, let 'em sweat. They'll crack first.

So, is the green our contribution to environmental sustainability? Only veggie dyes used in this product?
-
Is that the strong squad that did so well for us at the end of last season?

A Chorus of Millions of Posts About Each Other
Charlie Wayman replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
What I can't get my head around is that people who call themselves Saints fans start new threads like this with the sole aim of inciting and encouraging derogatory and defamatory statements about individual players that for some reason they dislike. It's been happening a lot lately and no doubt as time goes by every single player on the books will receive the same treatment. Tell me guys how does this help build the confidence of players and the solidarity of purpose between players and fans that are essential ingredients of our future success? Time for the more destructive elements of this forum to take a cold shower, keep their opinions to themselves and stop slagging off every single player who has the misfortune to walk though the Staplewood door full of hope and ambition for a fruitful future at their new club. What joy such idiots derive from this constant bear baiting is beyond my comprehension. -
Switched off after 38 mins. Absolute dross and Colwell wasn't even our best player.
-
Am I the only one who hasn't a clue what you're talking about?
-
If he's any good why are City letting him leave?
-
……….and why not Maya Yoshida to partner him, two golden oldies kitted out in gold coloured boots

One goal per season should do it.

Not another Nathan Redmond please! Lyanco will delight the fans in Turkey.
