  1. One of the best thought through posts I have ever read on here 👋👍
  2. Obviously is Chat GTP, very little doubt about that. Pathetic and bloody insulting he would think to do that and get away with it. Obviously doesn't give a toss about the club or fans. Money, money, money Artificial intelligence seems about right for this bloke
  3. A shambolic performance that hardly inspires confidence. If this level of incompetence continues Saints will be nowhere near the top six
  4. They are under contract and new management now so they should stop whining (if indeed they are or ever were?) knuckle down and get on with it.
  5. Hey! My ire goes much further back than that, I'm still cursing Martin Bl**dy Chivers, treacherous B!
  6. Last night's humiliation and today's news of Ward Prowse's exit will have left the Club in a state of semi-disarray whilst confidence in Martin's coaching staff will have been dented especially as he did a barely disguised good job of distancing himself from the Cup match result by blaming his players. Not the best of circumstances to head into our first home match of the new season. These events are far too recent to be glossed over and the mood on the training ground must be sober rather than optimistic. The team needs a lift and it's not easy to see who has the ability to do the lifting at least not in this short timescale. I'm expecting a difficult few days spilling over into Saturday's game. I just can't see the team harmony on display for the Sheff Weds match being repeated so expect Saints to go down 1-3 to a canny Norwich,
  7. As Club Captain, Ward Prowse's chronic lack of leadership contributed more than a little to our demise of the past few seasons and ultimate relegation. One might have expected that now in Saints hour of need he would set aside any personal ambitions and be the first person to rally around the flag and lead the fight back but No! At the first sniff of rancid banknotes the big rats are fighting each other to get off the sinking ship and Ward Prowse it now proves has led the charge. Shame on him. It certainly leaves bitter taste. To hell with all the sentimental twaddle that so many forum scribes have posted on here, Ward Prowse has acted despicably and deserves opprobrium rather than misplaced misty eyed acclaim. He's b*ggered off to enrich himself and left us the pick up the pieces. Good bloody riddance to him.
  8. Glad you're not rushing to judgement.
  9. Looks like an obvious and sensible reserve team selection. Resting the first team squad for Saturday makes perfect sense. Also a chance for Martin to further assess the fringe players before deciding who stays and who goes. Good to see Perraud back. Those trying to read something more into the line up and omissions than there is need to lighten up.
  10. Reservations The bloke is a complete waste of space? If some fool is prepared to offer £8m for him I'd grab it before their alcoholic haze clears. Squad depth is one thing but this bloke is below sea level.
  11. More so with short hair and no facial hair. Always a bit suspicious of blokes who hide behind beards.
  12. It is much cheaper to park in the public car parks in town or on the streets. The Club arranged parking is a rip-off and always has been since the stadium opened.
  13. Team P GD Pts 1 Watford 1 4 3 2 Stoke 1 3 3 3 Plymouth 1 2 3 4 Southampton 1 1 3 5 Blackburn 1 1 3 6 Norwich 1 1 3
  14. A neutral might say that the nine minutes added on for time wasting led to nine minutes of time wasting by Saints to use up the time, so why bother?
  15. I thought we played extremely well last night and bearing in mind how little time the players have had to adapt to this new style of football and recalling how slow and ponderous was our passing in the friendly matches only a week ago, the slickness of our game last night was a revelation. Surely things can only get better given stability and practice. By far our outstanding player was Kyle Walker Peters who was here, there and everywhere giving and taking passes and instinctively being in the right place at the right time to keep things moving. He was instrumental in setting up both our goals and I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this. A beautiful lay-off to Tella for the first and a highly perceptive defence splitting pass to the running JWP for the second. His partnership with Nathan Tella looks far more than promising on the right. Of the three players most likely to leave from our starting XI it is he KWP that we can least afford to lose on this showing. We have quality on the bench and quality in recuperation. Sulemana and ABK are certain starters when fully fit and up to speed and Perraud if he stays is at least as good as Manning and probably a far better left side partner for Edozie. Manning was not effective in working with the young lad last night and often left his left side partner isolated. The idea of Stuart Armstrong & Charley Alcaraz vying for one position is a bit worrying, good luck to Martin on keeping both of them sweet. Norwich will be a much sterner test. We will have much less time on the ball simply because they will be far less naive about pressing the opposition and closing down their options. The irony of last night was that there was only one new recruit in the team from the side that were relegated last month. They weren't then good enough for the PL so if nobody leaves and they get us promoted will they be good enough for the PL next time?
  16. Why? We know nothing about him. We'll soon have more coaches than players.
  17. Not a chance mate! Lavia & Livramento in. Adams Out PS I should have gone to Specsavers [re: Kraken]
  18. B*gger me! Jack Stephens…. new contract?…. probable captain? This Club never ceases to amaze me on its accelerating journey to ineptitude and obscurity.
  19. If we are bottom of the league at Christmas they can pretend we are on the top!
  20. I have a different view of Adam Blackmore since his candid revelations of his lifelong mental health issues in a recent radio interview. In this case it was probably only an off he cuff mark like the ones we all make in a generalised conversation. It didn't mean he just found out that day, just something that he had known about for a while as part of a general chat about SFC.
  21. A bit fanciful that our football of the past 3/4 years will have attracted many PL "hangers on" who've dropped out because of relegation. Pay as you go is still cheaper if you factor in that it is almost impossible to attend all games through other commitments, illness etc that crop up inevitably during the course of a year. Anyway there are no decent tickets left for people who want to come back in or new starters.
  22. If Martin picks our strongest team for Friday as things stand now there are going to be some vey disappointed players around the camp by the weekend. Bazunu Livramento Bednarek ABK KWP JWP Lavia Alcaraz S Armstrong Tella A Armstrong
  23. Pretty sure he was taking the piss.
  24. Not obvious at all. Neither seems in a hurry to leave and as SR seem resolute in sticking to their own valuations there is absolutely no pressure for hem to do so. Chances of them still being here in September are better than 50/50 in my view. Expect both to start on Friday. If Perraud stays then move KWP to AMF or even left wing. From what I have seen of Manning so far he is going to have to work very hard to displace either KWP or Perraud.
