Look the really positive thing is that the staff at SM are not out of their jobs and there were a load on new recruits in the ticket office this morning learning their new skills, we are debt free, most of our young players are still here, leon & Lawrie still have their hospitality suite, Lowe has gone for good, ticket prices are down, things are looking up, excirtement is back, there's a spring in our steps, the pies will taste great, people will smile, we will win more than we lose and may well see SMS become a fortress at last, we may get a top manager, we won't have to sell players to survive any more and it's Saturday tomorrow. Even if Christain Grosse comes in as football manager as part of senior management, it should not mean that Wotte must leave. He knows all the kids well from Academy days and is a half decent coach t' boot as well as a top bloke. From what has been said before, he probably wouldn't mind somebody more senior above him to deal with team affairs and transfers and the like leaving him to perfect the Saints silky smooth total football style

I do like your upbeat optimism and hope it is not badly misplaced. Sometimes Big Egos have to be tempered by realism and if Stern John, Gregor Rasiak or Marek Saganowski can get it into their heads that they are getting older, slower and less able and therefore accept that they will have to work very much harder, with more determination and skill and less money just to remain professional footballers in England then it can be only good news for Saints. I mean if nobody but nobody else wants you maybe it's time to wake up, put up and smell the coffee!

Anything is possible following the astonishing and unbelievable comment of Mr Le Tissier on BBC South last evening that the nature of the business and resources of Mr Fialka were none of his business.. WHAT? Isn't he supposed to be The Chairman of this bid. It's his DUTY to know every detail of where the money is coming from to support a bid. FFS what wuld you do if the Captain of your airliner suddenly announced he didn't know how his plane wokrked and that it was none of his business what the Engineers did?!?!?! Chairman my Rrse, with his lack of understanding of what a Chairman is supposed to do we need to pray that he never becomes ours.

Endless speculation without a single fact to support it. What is the matter with you people. Do you have death wish or something. have you not heard of self fulfilling prophesies? My advice to all is leave it in the hands of the people who know bets how to resolve this thing. If Pinnacle are a bunch of chancers as many are suggesting on here now they will get booted into touch by Mr Fry and there is nothing we can do about it.

This whole saga is heading for the sort of conclusion that we all anticipated, feared and hoped would never happen taht nobody wants to buy Saints at anything like the money that Fry & Co seem to be asking for. So what comes next? Looks alarmingly like we will be passed into the hands of the receiver who will try to sell the bits off for as much as 'he' can get. Maybe Pinnacle will try to buy Saints FC without the overhang of the SMS and try to run the team at a local ground (Eastleigh / Staplewood?) unless or until somebody else buys SMS with the possibility of a rental deal being set up. Who would want it 'though apart from avaricious property speculators is anybody's guess, certainly Southampton City Council won't be spending public money on such frivolities in the wake of all that has gone before in the financial markets and expenses of public servants. If I was a non-footie fan, so would I say "Bugger that for a plate of chips" I am genuinely afraid guys, for the first time the thought of extinction looks very, very real indeed.
