A few of our lads were clobbered on Saturday and it would not be a surprise if one or two of them didn't make it tomorrow. Manning & Fraser spring to mind. Alcaraz was hooked so he might be on the naughty step as well. Adams scored so will keep his place. Expect; Bazunu; KWP. THB. Bednarek. Bree. Downes. Charles. Smallbone, Armstrong. Adams. Edozie Score 0-2 to Saints

That's because we are a family club, with family values which means that most of the menfolk don't feel the need to get pissed out of their minds and shout endlessly obscene remarks at the opposition fans or goalkeeper just to enjoy a football football match.

You don't have to be apologetic about your views of these players. If our ambition is to return to the PL this season then Aribo, Manning, Bree, Fraser, Adams, Armstrong A, Armstrong S will not be good enough to keep us there. If this sort of dross is the height of our ambition then we'll end up bottom of the PL pile as before and come straight back down again. Personally I have never expected our return to be a one year project and doubt that SR did either, so these players are just about good enough to keep us near the top of the second division pile for long enough to keep the cash from gate money rolling in until we can build a team fit for purpose in the PL. Like it or lot that's a 3-5 year project. Most of those journeymen will be long gone by then and good bloody riddance.

Don't talk rubbish we were all over them all match. They deserved nothing. Time we cleared out the old lags like AA, CA, SA and started afresh with some decent players who know how to score goals. Our front line is garbage and costing us dearly.

Odd remark, KWP doing very well and Charles having a good match.

Perhaps but my impression was that Cardiff were not up for the fight, a combination of the terrible weather and Saints keep-ball seemed to have knocked the stuffing out of them after our second goal and from then on it was only going to end one way. True, they made a brief recovery after the break but it didn't last long after which they threw in the towel. We were really good on the ball though.

We should have had a hatful. Adams confirms his status as No 1 waste of space. Fraser too desperate to score, a cooler head and he gets a brace. Aribo very unlucky. Considering the weather, we did well.

Manning is useless whereas Edozie is a decent player given a chance. Hope Martin picks him today and gives him a run of games. Put Kyle on the left and Bree on the right so that Edozie has a decent partnership to get him fired up.

Brass Monkey weather, sorry Saints you're on your own up there today! Good luck anyway. Big shout out for all those who are brave enough to go.

Clearly it is not a question! What you are missing is that in the sequence that you have quoted it is exactly as I said above, Adam giving his opinion rather than letting Martin answer the question without being told how to answer it. Talking across people like that is unacceptable. Keunsberg is the same.

He was irritable all evening, spent half the match bellowing at his players so obviously wound up like a spring by the time the interviews came along. To be fair Adam does venture too much of his own opinion during some of his interviews and this was a case in point. He should remain neutral in an interview, ask a question that is not leading and wait for the answer. The interviewer should not seek to grab the limelight as Adam did in this interview or try to teach the interviewee how to suck eggs. It's Martin's opinion we wanted not Adam's. Adam's style at pressers irritates me sometimes so maybe Martin is just fed up with him which is unfortunate.

What has been the success rate with your insightful predictions? I can't be arsed to look it up but we haven't torn many a new one so far have we.

What a load of crap! Players like Suly are there for their flair and unpredictability, stifle that and you may as well not play him. No player on this planet is capable of following a coach's plan for even 45 minutes let alone a whole game. Now that KWP has been given the freedom of the park he has become twice the player he was before. He has been given a very long rope so do the same for Suly.

If you have nothing good to say about a man then say nothing bad.

For fairness and balance you could also have quoted my Thursday post…………... "Now that we are getting used to winning again let's hope complacency doesn't set in. We have to be in this for the long haul as there is no sign of the three above us faltering. It's a must win but we're still not convincing enough in our performances to guarantee it. I fear a 1-1 draw is on the cards also with the disruption caused by players' being away on national duties"

Disgraceful performance. No passion, no leadership, no creativity, no energy, no plan, no effort. No idea! Apart from that it went quite well! Automatic promo? You're having a laugh. More days like this and we won't make the play-offs.

We all do it, these people are so well known to us through TV and on the pitch that when we bump into them in real life instinctively we feel we know them personally. No need to be embarrassed, I suspect he was thrilled to be recognised. Most will have had these sort of 'meetings' with personalities. You should have sorted through his cast offs, could have been some good stuff there especially if he is clearing out his UK base.

That's right; dear old Saint Russ has this old fashioned idea that it is important for fans to have at least one local lad in the team. In reality Smallbone gets more stick from fans - certainly on here - than any of the incomers except perhaps for Manning and Adams

I hate Alexander Armstrong. Any programme on TV or Radio where he makes an appearance goes straight off.
