  1. Excuse me? What are you on about? You must be a depraved schoolboy to make something out of that. 10101
  2. You'd have a better chance of selling them chip butties. I mean come on, imagine Saints v Stoke in Beijing or Bangkok as a demo match... need one say more!
  3. ...and a completely daft one if you don't mind me saying so. Ricky is discovering himself as Saints progress, he seems not to have great self belief and Adders has given him that. Remember not so long ago he was awed at the prospect of playing in the NPC and worried that e might not be good enough. If you still don't yet realise how important it is for these still very immature young lads to have a huge reassuring arm around their shoulders then you are not watching football in the right way at all. The feel good factor of a father figure they trust in is huge, break that bond at their peril (Lewis Hamilton... need one say more?) and people like Ricky are intelligent enough to know it. He's moved on from Pards and let's be honest somebody at SMS knows exactly what makes Rick tick!
  4. October will not be a make or break month, the majority of our players are still fit an free of injury and the pitches are smooth and firm and it's quite mild to boot, ideal conditions for Adkins' silky smooth ball passing game. Now's the time for us to push n and establish a decent lead at the top. The real tests will come in December & January when Lallana is knackered and clobbered we get cancellations, freezing Saturday afternoons and rain lashed pitches cutting up with every tackle. Then those long trips up to Lancashire twice a week will seem like mountains to climb. This will be when the going gets really tough and the Middlesboro's of this world can grind out results. Unless we have a Plan B we'll fall away to mid-table,
  5. Why doesn't he try Totton, Eastleigh or Sholing, seriously that is his current level and he needs to build from there
  6. Not a good comparison as along with Swansea they'll be relegated to the NPC at season's end
  7. Probably not the right question to ask. I've always believed that NC's objective of reaching the PL is merely an instrument of his policy to parcel up Saints and flog them off at the highest price he an extract. Thus, he doesn't need to worry about us surviving in the PL for too long and probably has no intention of spending serious money as he must believe we can make the step up with what we've got. Once there, what will Saints be worth free of debt, new stadium and PL status? Think about it, not many clubs in that category these days in either top flight or NPL.
  8. Have you actually tried doing something with your life other than just being entertained by other idiots? Guess who gets paid most, them for doing it or you for watching?
  9. You should know by now that 'no news is good news'. Stop worrying, stroke the cat go buy yourself a Wispa and curl up with a good book. Even consider going for a walk in the countryside or along the beach. This way you'll get a more adult view of what life can offer and it's meaning and the sheer insignificance of football in the grand order of things. Alternatively, watch old videos of Saints successes until 2 am tonight and book yourself an appointment with a shrink first thing Monday morning.
  10. I couldn't give a **** who manages England, the system is crap and no England team will ever win anything unless the FA take agrip on football in this country and there is FA chance of that the way things are structured - the Premier League shysters will see to it that our national team never out-performs their precious PL teams. It suits them to have crap England team and great foreign teams like Spain and Germany then they can say they can attract the best players in the world whereas if we started winning everything, our lads would suddenly become very fashionable but who overseas wants to watch Milner, Walbeck & co when they can tune into a PL of Tevez, Suarez, Torres, van Persie and all those other mercenary money-grabbers taht can't make a living honestly back home.
  11. Best our lads didn't win it, kiss of effing death!
  12. So the greedy little bastard scored three for England... why the hell did we let him go for £12m? We should have stuck out for £25m at least
  13. Is this your main hobby?
  14. It is more than a cosmetic issue and may cause upper respiratory tract hazards for fans from the fungi spores and bacteria if it is left unattended. Last thing we need is a dose of legionnaires!
  15. Especially embarrassing at Ewood on Saturday when the home team were already 3-0 down... celebrating what exactly, that they're a bunch of losers?
  16. This case must pivot on very fine points of law and most of us should just take note of the outcome and comment no further on the specifics. In most cases laws are there to help protect society whether it be an individual or a group such as a corporation. Everyone has the right to try and protect their own fair interests including Sky.
  17. Let's get to the point, the PA system at SMS has been a frigging' disaster from day 1 and nobody has been able to sort it out, assuming of course that the technical people are taking on board all our feedback criticism that it is crap and trying to fix it. On the other hand, knowing what an arrogant opinionated lot technical people can be, it is unlikely they have been listening as no doubt they think the PA has been the doggies bollockies ever since they first tested it in an empty quiet stadium back in 2001. Those people upstairs who permanently wear ear-plugs to tune out the noise of fans are unlikely to have noticed anyway. My advice to somebody up there is pull the effing stadium down and start again
  18. ....and....and...???? Credit to Everyone Nigel includes all those long, long suffering, ever stumping up, ever SKINT fans, ever lip-biting, sofa hiding fans who turn out through the many bad times as well as the few good, the many dreary wet days as well as the odd balmy sunny October freak, the effing freezing Tuesday evenings at Trentham Park and Selhurst, when this wonder team play F awful football as well as the silky smooth stuff of your pipe-dreams etc, etc, so everyone does include the fans the sweetest and the most obnoxious......... NEVER EVER forget your fans Nigel, aren't WE are all in this together mate? Still GREAT CREDIT TO YOU for having the nerve to utter such scarcely believable mirth-making bull**** as what follows on air. " "Good players and good staff, it's as simple as that. "We've got very good players, but it's not about individuals it's about the team. "We've got a good team ethic here and the players work very, very hard and that's put on by the superb support staff - Andy Crosby and Dean Wilkins they put great training sessions on and Nick Harvey from a fitness point of view has been outstanding then there's the medical staff with Matt Radcliffe".
  19. Credit to the lads, they got hold of the football in the second half and passed it around to their own team mates this time and let's be fair credit to Watford for giving away 4 daft goals but what can you say, that's football in a match they could have one...
  20. Sounds of deflating and bursting bubbles. Bet there a re a few very depressed souls on here this week.. Clearly it didn't go to plan, why would it? Plenty of NPL managers are far from being idiots; if Adders can change tactics to deal with how the Oppos play of the day so can they. Sat is a big test now, screw that up and it'll be 1 from 9 with huge impact on team morale
  21. WTF is Stelling?
  22. What a moronic thread this is, glad I've been away awhile - but then I've never asked for or expected any freebies from the club. NC is a man of vision and principle and it's damn good that at at last we have such a person at the top. Best if you all ignore all those jealous loose mouths of the media.
  23. Not of the 69 variety but in the 60's when Terry Paine and Co took us for the first time into Division 1 most of us spent weeks wetting ourselves with sheer delight and that was a really warm feeling!
  24. Well done to all those people who came along, what a great game of football even with our reserves. I have more admiration than ever for Adders after Brown's irritating effing barking all night long aided by his witless assistant. I'd have thought if they'd done their job right on the training ground there would have been no need to constantly shout at players on the pitch, poor sods must have been really ****ed off. I much preferred the quiet approach of Adders, hardly needed to say anything and when he did it was "Adam" or "Morgan" not "OI! Mellor get up the effing field" 2-1 was not the right scoreline for all our dominance that's the only grumble. Morgan was magic and gives Adders a real headache, how do you fit them all in? Ben Reeves looks like the real deal, maybe not as instinctively gifted as that little Gooner turd but definitely better than some on there last night.
