  1. Ricky is one player who will be very genuinely mourned once he hangs up his boots. Whenever that far off time might be I for one would love him to be part of the permanent staff here at SMS or Staplewood. Not obviously coaching material a la Davies but hosting or something on the PR side. For now 'though just give us another 100 goals to enjoy.
  2. You seem to be devoid of imagination old chum, we have the best sailing in the world bar none at Cowes and and the finest wilderness space in Europe in the New Forest that draws visitors from all over Europe just to enjoy the space, hiking, camping, fishing, riding, cycling.... and parking is free. If your existence and imagination are shaped solely by being entertained by others then I pity you but Liverpool over Southampton as a place to live?
  3. About the same as Boruc then?
  4. I suppose the conclusion must be that all of them will be knackered on Sunday and West Ham will roll us over.
  5. Yeah, good enough for Roy but will he be good enough for Pochettino on Sunday? I mean for starters he won't be able to grow a pony tail in time... We'll love him even more after tonight, good job the transfer window's closed or we'd have Wenger & Moyes sniffing around. Good luck Ricky. Come on you Saint!
  6. Idiots are always best ignored, like fractious small children. We've got Ricky Lambert they haven't and he doesn't bite other players.
  7. So you were not best pleased either. Maybe that's the explanation. Which parts of the ground will be open? I know from the past that that the corporate guests used to get priority on parts of the Itchen. I can't imagine it will attract more than 7/8k.
  8. Well F me! The website clearly states STs have a week or so to buy their tickets, so fresh back from holiday I ring in... only to be told MY seat is not available as it had already been sold! F me! I told them very angrily how I felt and what they could do with their options and unfortunately my choice of language was not of the best. I'm not asking fir sympathy only to let other STs know the situation. What The F is wrong with this club? What happened to loyalty to the many fans like me who stayed with them throughout the bad years watching all the useless tin pot friendlies and competitions they entered when grounds were nigh-on empty etc etc?
  9. Yes & No. Osvaldo is about "showboating" and "look at me", Lambo is about "Team" and "Pride". Provided Lambo does the graft and assisting, Odsvaldo might get the odd goal here and there but don't expect Osvaldo to do any team work or grafting to assist Lambo.
  10. The Times had Ricky as undisputed "Man of the Match" so did I. A goal, two world class assists and a sunny positive disposition that makes you proud of any team he is in. Two games for Hodgson, two great goals and MotM second time out on his first full start. Meanwhile The Pocket Rocket can't get the best out of the star strikers he's already got so buys a washed up Italian for £15m who doesn't even want to be here... You couldn't make it up.
  11. Why don't you go find another hobby like collecting woodworm? They are equally boring.
  12. Tons of them really, perhaps has something to do with town!!!! ;-)
  13. Can't argue with your first choice XI, it's pretty much self-selecting. Fingers crossed Pochettino doesn't mess about with it too much from now on to appease those who want academy players included but they are not really ready as we saw on Saturday so need to be introduced carefully to allow their proper development. Good to have them as back-up and fresh legs but they are still well short of match-craft.
  14. It won't matter what people on here think, Cortese and Pochettino have targeted top 8 so top 8 it will be. It is so written.
  15. Great policy ideas chaps, keep buying "much sought after" players we've never heard of who never kick a ball in anger for Saints then we let them go again for next to nowt. Only explanation can be that it is some kind of tax fiddle otherwise you couldn't make it up
  16. That is the nub of our problem, they are too similar and get in each other's way. Morgan seems intimidated by the presence of Wanyama and has had his central role curtailed to the detriment of our overall movement and passing.
  17. Isn't it four wins only since he arrived. I'd start packing up my desk if I was him. Mr Cortese doesn't need a parliamentary vote to make decisions.
  18. Inept, incompetent and clueless.
  19. Saint armstrong is barking up the wrong tree with this story. Not much sympathy evident and a slanted version of what happened doesn't help. You'd be amazed how may rented properties get trashed and the tenants disappear leaving landlords with thousands to fork out. Ok, we don't really have the story on this one but mr lowe's people are only looking after his interests, i doubt he every knew anything about it probably handled by the letting agency and one of lowe's junior minions.
  20. Good luck to Kelvin, it means we can take three GKs to Norwich one as sub, one as coach. Last time around we used to travel without a spare GK so this is definitely a step forward in forward planning!
  21. Similar eloquence of expression manifests itself on most threads sooner or later. It seems some on here have minds like cesspits andtheliterary skills of a baboon.
  22. It was suggested in today's Times as well.
  23. Don't show your ignorance, there are many fans of both clubs who don't always see bad in each other. Some fans I know (not me) watch both clubs even 'though they're Saints fans through and through. Not everyone is a narrow minded bigot as you appear to be, many just love football.
  24. Of course there wasn't, the idiots running the club at that time were of the cash-in-our-chips now variety. I doubt they had the vision to see how far the kid might go. In any case who's to say he would have developed so well had he stayed here, it was probably later tutelage that honed his skills to the level we see today. For sure we raised him and set him on the right path but how much more could we have taught him? That's why you send your nice bright children to good schools because if you have any knowse at all you will know your own limitations at educating your kids. Others can do it better.
