  1. In our part of the Itchen we have reasoned discussions about matters all the time, no disagreements we try to see other peoples points of view and are far too mature and refined to speak loudly and offend others. We are really rather nice smug buggers. Amazing what nasty little oiks can turn out like later in life.
  2. Looks a nailed on certainty for a 1-1.
  3. Does anybody take Savage seriously? Only the BBC it seems but the bloke is a clueless brain dead idiot (IMHO of course). I would say we should look out for him at SMS dare he show himself here after this insulting commentary. His derogatory implications of our Club should be in the same category as racism and the bloke should be kicked off air for good. Make the bugger go out and earn a proper living.
  4. They'll field their third team as they will prioritise automatic from the Championship. 4-1 to Saints, when's the 4th Round Draw?
  5. Cork must stay in after this performance alongside his old buddy Schneiderlin and Clyne will have to bust a gut to displace Chambers again and how good is it to have a battler like Steve Davis to fall back on. Despite their stars and a mild afternoon which should have suited them, City were second best all match. There's no harmony there and clearly none of them give a toss about Man City as a club, they do enough for your dosh and wait for the next lucrative transfer. Since we are about to supply half the England team why not sign Joe Hart in January, he's just the right age for our team and ha stye type of attitude that would fit in well here. Keep it up Saint's. Corky MotM by a mile!
  6. Um! Should get a GP appointment first thing on Monday if I were you.
  7. Just one to endure really. Having said that I may not bother either having no interest whatsoever in the mercenaries who play under the guise of Man City who seem to spend most of their time sucking their wrists. It's not that I don't want to watch Saints reserves today but what's the point when the outcome is such a foregone conclusion
  8. Maybe we should have signed him when we made it to the PL? Still, good to see he's polishing his act for the time soon when 'The Southampton Call' comes. Effing Everton they got Moyes when he was touted to come here, now Martinez. We're slipping up big time
  9. Regretaby, you may be right with the form that they are in and coming off a convincing away win and with all our injuries and morale in decline I am very fearful of going up there on Saturday. Could it be a 7-0 drubbing? In normal circumstances 'No' but these are far from being normal circumstances. I wouldn't bet on less than 4 that's for sure. If it turns out that way we're up a gum tree for this campaign.
  10. What to say about this mess? Start playing around with a winning team forced through injury or by choice to "rest" players and this is what happens. The adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" applies in spades. With Boruc, Clyne, Schneiderlin and Wanyama injured - that's 4 out of 6 - the immediate future does not look good and shows how little strength we have in depth. These defeats will start to erode that fragile confidence that has been built up over the season so far and even when we have al our regulars fit again and hoping we don't get anymore injuries to say Adam or Ricky, it will still take weeks to get us back up on the platform we've reached thus far. It seems these next couple of months will be tough through disruption and whilst relegation is out of the question, our slide down the table may be difficult to halt for a while. Now more than ever we will find out what Pochettino is made of, if he starts tinkering through panic as he did last night things will only get worse and his own peace of mind will not have been helped by images flashed around the world last night of an angry Cortese with cupping his head in his hand in frustration and disbelief. Sadly, the Man City game looks to be a write-off, there won't be a repeat of lads year and on last nought's defensive form and with so many key players missing they will be hard to stop. Another whipping could be disastrous for morale.
  11. Well he 's not going to dis a fellow Argentinian is he, think how that will go down back home... probably revoke his passport.
  12. Hope you all enjoy tonight's game, I can't get down there regrettably and will probably mist saturday's match as well. Fingers crossed for a 3-0. Bloody medics.
  13. Get Rid fast and stop Effing about with our Ricky.
  14. Get Brad Friedel in on loan asap. Gazza was hopeless on Sunday like a rabbit trapped in headlights for goals 2 and 3. Out of his depth and no time to learn in a top six club.
  15. Has anybody actually ever heard of this bloke apart from on this thread. Effed if I have.
  16. Yawn! Another slow news day so all you guys can think of is this old lemon. How many times does the guy have to spell it out? He's not going anywhere and this thread can only do damage by sowing seeds of doubt everywhere. Man up the lot of you and stop crying into your milk about nothing!
  17. Yep! But we're all in this together. Nobody is being left behind I promise. As for Mick, Good on ya, sport!
  18. Are your sure, Lovren wasn't training at Staplewood when they did the Gallery pics and Luke doesn't look well at all.
  19. If you had ever tried to get home after a match at Highbury or The Emirates you'd have a little more understanding and sympathy for your North London brethren. It's not like a provincial city where you can just jump into your car and drive away.
  20. Who could possibly say anything even remotely negative about the man, a lovely, lovely guy, a top, top, top [;-)] player and a superb role model. What's not to love? Except we're fellas and we'll you know....
  21. We'll win 2-0.
  22. Prize pric.k or prize t.it, take your pick
  23. Wishful thinking by brain dead thick Spurs fans?
  24. Why would he want to leave a project only one year into its tenure. It would be impossible to go to another team and achieve what he has achieved here overnight. Yes he's been here for only a year but his style was built on a solid Adkins base of possession football but the balance was changed to substitute some of the gung-ho style of attacking with better defensive control in our own half. Following some clown like AVB might not work so slickly and remember Pochettino has had his dismal failures in La Liga as well as modest success. Mr Cortese doesn't encourage people he trusts to leave The Family. Why would there be an exception now when everything seems fine and dandy. A couple of massive cock-ups by Boruc and Fonte doesn't change anything and if we don't beat Chelsea on Saturday it still won't be execution time.
  25. What worries is that the loss of just one of our key players throws the whole shebang into a nose dive. We will win this league so just keep the faith.
