  1. Of course because that is human nature in this country of ours when a disruptor enters the corridors of power, determined to wake up all the lazy bastards in the organisation who did FA all day yet expected an easy job for life without effort or responsibility. Personally I liked Cortese and what he was trying to achieve and wished he had stayed longer. Markus was no fool and trusted that guy so he couldn't have been all bad.
  2. You are deluded my friend, you ARE a pessimist. Look, most clubs in this league will have watched videos of us over and over again to try to work out in detail a plan to stop us, as Wednesday did on Saturday. Obviously they will all press early on to try and disrupt our rhythm and attack our weaknesses. Scant good it did Wednesday. Keep the faith these lads of ours know what they are doing. We are quite good now and players have learned how to ghost their way around the pitch so that our passing game is not easily disrupted. OK, Swansea have a new manager who knows RM's style but so what, he's only just arrived and knowing is not the same as doing. As we have seen it takes ages to drill a team to react spontaneously and successfully to a game plan, not two weeks or whatever. Travel in hope, we could and should win this match comfortably.
  3. KWP is one of the cleverest and most versatile wing backs in the country right now whatever the level he is currently playing at. Surely, surely, surely even the blinkered and bigoted Southgate has to get the guy in an England shirt again very soon.
  4. Spot on and totally agree. Once the basic skill set becomes second nature one can move on to more advanced skills with confidence. That's what we are seeing.
  5. Something magical is happening at St Mary's these days and it's good to be part of it. Well done lads, every one of you.
  6. We was robbed. Great match to watch and boy, do we have some brilliant young talent in the B team. Roll forward three or four years and wowie could be really exciting.
  7. Hope there aren't half a dozen cruise liners in port or the journey in will be another bloody nightmare. At least the station road works have ended.
  8. Nothing will ever match the day we gained our first promotion to the First Division or the day we won the Cup Final. I woz there then on both occasions.
  9. You mis-read, I said our future. I have a season ticket. Hope that straightens up your misunderstandings.
  10. We have certainly burned our fingers with Stewart so it is unlikely we'll do the same in January by splashing cash on unproven players. Try before you buy in future should be the transfer policy although that risks only recruiting the "also ran" type of players like Holgate and Brooks who are not quite good enough for whatever reasons to stake a place in their own club's first team squads. Surely we cannot contemplate a PL future with such players, the future must be with youngsters like Jayden Meghoma, Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Tyler Dibling.
  11. So are Brighton. Still normal service will be restored soon.
  12. Who needs goals anyway?
  13. Good preparation for the Championship
  14. Back of the net as usual Wade!
  15. Plenty of all PL ties to whittle down their numbers so who knows but my money is on a defeat through apathy so it'll matter not a jot anyway.
  16. X 2. Underwhelming and the sort of nothing tie we're bound to cock up. Guess Watford feel the same way. Certainly not TV material.
  17. Obafemi is not a regulär starter for Burnley 'though.
  18. Don't worry, be happy! I have a very good feeling about this match, very good indeed. Hope that helps.
  19. He' s far too uptight with himself and trying too hard, poor attitude written all over him. He's finished here.
  20. Is there anybody in football that isn't "a great guy, I really like him and have a lot of respect for"? Press conference or Book promotion?
  21. Nice one Trousers!
  22. The January window will come and go like most windows and will underwhelm like most windows. I doubt any new players will come in, do we really need them?
  23. If Saints are to be serious challengers for the automatic promotion spots they need to win every one of these matches. It sounds like a tall order but it must be done or they risk being also rans in the play-offs.
