I blame Adkins. Once most of Adkins' team decided to get off his bus suddenly The Bus is bad news. Maybe once Ron & Les have finished recruiting new players they'll need a train to accommodate all of them. Hence, everyone will be on the Train. So to re-cap. We've left the building, parked the coach and Boarded our Train?

Bear in mind that every professional sport is dominated by an elitist few that attract most of the sponsorship money to the detriment of the rest. Nobody has found a way of altering what has become de facto the status quo. We all moan and groan and swear we'll never watch again etc etc but we always do so we have only ourselves to blame; the only agency for change is us the paying and watching fans so if we don't like it it is us who must change our ways. Stop gong, stop watching then see how fast things will alter. ...and if you say "That's not a sensible option" then you get what you deserve.

Wasn't it about 3 or 4 Nil last year. Could be worse this time around but probably be a 3-1 to them.

Yep! Only two posts maybe but spot on with this one. Let's try the old cliches "Jobs for the boys", "Buggin's turn", "Keys to The Lodge" The truth is that England will fail at senior level whoever the manager may be simply because none of them, players or staff gives a monkey's about country and honour and selfless application to a team ethic. Money, money, money Is a Rich 'Man's' Dream"

...and Mr Shneiderlin? AWOL again?

Far too cautious after a bright start. Our back four sat too deep and we rarely looked interested in getting into the final third. I wonder if this is how teams play that are managed by a deep former defensive player, obsessed by clean sheets and not conceding so all adventure disappears as the game wears on - pass back or square and you can't be criticised for giving the ball away or being caught forward and out of position? The team is not settled and that is easy to see, it seems still that all is not well in the camp and the team are not playing as one. Is it Schneiderlin? He was better later in the game but to me never seem to be fully connected and if the rest of his colleagues sense this maybe part of the reason. He stropped off at the end and to a few of us in the Itchen we begin to wonder if we have landed ourselves with The Incredible Sulk? Until he gets his own way that is? Ok you can't blame him for everything and I wouldn't put it all down to missing Lallana as there were times when he was totally useless and ineffective as well. Far too early to take that blond haired pr.ick on MotD seriously, I'm more worried about the BBC's judgement than Ron's at this stage.

Danny Welbeck - Told he can leave.. Only for mid table club

You seem very defeatist about our future, what makes you think Rodrigues will want to leave anyway and why do you suppose we are here just to do spuds bidding. Man Up guy, we are Southampton and we are marching in still. -
I hope that they have remembered to power wash the top of the extending canvas tunnel as well as that is always filthy and in plain view of everyone in the corporate boxes and director's area.

Not obvious to anyone else but each to his own I suppose.

That's more than a bit unfair, the Stewards do a great job at every match and if ever there is an emergency at the stadium your life and mine might depend upon their skills and braveness. I think you should withdraw your silly insinuation about them.

Quite right, a better place for the Club to leak info than to so-called ITK's on here, whom I never believed anyway.

Rojo is off our list.

Isn't this a bit academic as none of the above wanted to play for Saints & England. As I've said before, our Academy is now like a top University where the best youngsters will want to be to launch their careers but most will have no allegiance whatsoever to SFC beyond that, bit like going to Oxford a centre of excellence that draws its intake from all over the world but where virtually every graduate will leave and go elsewhere for jobs. We need to accept that and stop kidding ourselves. Likely we will only manage to hang on to the average ones as this will be the only place they will be given game time. Maybe we need a clause in there somewhere that ties academy graduates to us for 3 years or is that illegal... but it shouldn't be!

Pochettino's square passing, slowly, slowly game probably suited Steven Davis better than Koeman's fast moving longer ball stuff but no doubt he will adapt quickly. He was never a man with genuine pace, more a reader of the game, a battler and a winner so you'd leave him out at your peril especially during this bedding down period of our new team's history.

It has been said many times that the money will be spent on buying new players AND on contracts, i.e. wages so by your analysis it's pretty much used up.... just as they said it would be in fact.

What a load of baseless c**k! Give the lady a chance without all your usual cynicism will you? She was very enthusiastic last season as well, evident to all who sat near enough to her to see her reactions.

1-1 written all over it

Exactly if we pay them £10 millions and they allegedly offered £10 millions for MS, that gives them £20 millions to bid for MS! So we lose Morgan and end up paying them to take him off our hands! Luckily, Townsend's off to QPR thank goodness so sounds like his agent is active trying to hurry them up a bit. .

Mainly I love your posts but please spare us the cretinous Shearer language.. "in his locker". What is that supposed to mean in Intelligent discussions?

You absolute cretin, the guy has only been here for two days and has had no chance to work with the other players let alone know them personally enough to develop trust in them and anticipation of their way of playing. Don't you even have enough common sense to let him settle for a few weeks before you air you're well rehearsed bad mannered prejudices. F off and support somebody else.

Billy Sharp joins Leeds for Undisclosed fee

It just shows, the blokes upstairs may be tougher negotiators than all the moaners on here are prepared to admit.
