James Ward-Prowse signs new six-year deal with Saints
Charlie Wayman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He's the only one with the key to the executive loo and he's not telling, otherwise why else would they treat him so well? No brainer. -
I have no idea who either of you guys are but having had to endure your endless *****ing and bickering at each other season after season, most of us would suggest you kiss and make up and get on with the more constructive debating process of sensible commentary on the fortunes of our football club. Tedious indeed.

Like the man said pretty much impossible, it ain't going to happen whether you like to hear it or not.
-
We could start next season as favourites at this rate.
-
Yep! It needs a 6 year contract to keep them here for 2 years? You couldn't make it up. Hopefully what he meant was a couple more years longer than he first thought.

Virgil van Dijk signs new six-year deal with Saints

Wanyama next please. -
Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed
Charlie Wayman replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
Totally agree. The officials completely bottled it last night. The Dembele incident was outrageous Costa or no Costa and the lino funked it. -
Are you sure, when it comes to the small matter of a new contract he doesn't seem to have a clue. Perhaps it's all down to Dave Watson after all?
-
Mane is a Southampton player with two years left on his contract so he'll not be allowed to leave this summer. Besides if Koeman is put in the position of having to rebuild from scratch for a third time in succession he'll be so hacked off it will prove impossible to get his signature on a new contract. Most of all this summer he and we want stability, any reconstruction work should be above ground.
-
Simply because he has failed to learn enough English to do so.
-
Bit of a bummer for PSG 'though if they got stuck with him.
-
A win is a win and there are only three points on offer. If you win you improve your GD automatically.
-
and Forster of course!
-
Nothing at all in Koeman's comment, he was only speculating about what might need to happen should we lose one or two players. At no time did he suggests we would lose them. He was answering a question about OC coming here and he sort of implied we probably don't need him if everyone stays.
-
Perhaps Terry Paine will fancy 15 minutes - he could wear tights to hide his wobbly knees.. only joking Tel!
-
Only the Itchen on sale but not Block 7 as reserved for Old Pals presumably. Anyway I snapped up two at the Ticket Office this morning. Long queue (7 people) so get up there quick if you don't want to miss out!

Far too academic, regular fans are surely qualified to judge what they see in front of them. It is not about how good you looked at Staplewood on Thursday in an us v them kickabout it's about how good you are on the pitch on Saturday against people who are not your friends and its all a bit nastier. Even coaches are not clairvoyant.

During his goal celebration yesterday Victor Wanyama was waving huge kisses to the Itchen as he ran back to position. Now then, do you think this was signal that he is beginning to love it here? Is a new contract a step nearer? Wishful thinking or maybe with old pals Fraser and Virgil here also from Celtic he is beginning to think we may have something going on here worth staying for?

The post match bewilderment reflected in this thread seems about right to me as a summary. What was that all about? I'm looking forward to The True Geordie's take on it. The Toon are really bad 'though, worse even than Villa on this showing. Wanyama was my MotM for his total control of the centre of the park and his avoidance of the mandatory yellow card. JWP was awful, simply woeful today he just seemed unable to get to grips with any aspect of the game. Why they persist with him is anybody's guess. Romeu was clearly a better option when Long had to be withdrawn. Negative comments about Clasie are unfair, he played solidly today and was always providing room for the outball from the back four, still some people on here seem to have a mindset that he is lightweight and nothing on this earth will make them see anything good in the lad.
-
He is a good player but worthy of a top six side in the Prem? Doubtful.
-
Now it's Steve Davis, never a week goes by but we lose a vital player.
-
Yep and some weirdo gave him a birthday card and present. As if he gives a toss! Makes you wonder what goes on in the heads of some fans, not very much apparently. I know, I know pile in chaps - we all like a cheap joke at somebody else's expense.
-
He seemed to go off the boil today once he had been booked. Maybe he was scared stiff of picking up another yellow and being sent off for a fourth time this season and all the fall outside the club if that happened?
-
Without Long we seem clueless. Can you believe that, Shane Long our most reliable player by far except for Fraser, bless his little old cotton socks? We've had so many years even decades of these types of let-downs that you'd think one more wouldn't matter, well it does. It hurts and the players should know that its the long suffering fans who have to pick up the pieces after the mess that they've created. Fighting for a European place my a***! Time for wholesale changes and let's get in a few players with a bit of backbone, fight and passion in them.
