Players a bit worried with where the club are heading !?
Charlie Wayman replied to simo's topic in The Saints
If this is true then it has come about entirely because of a lack of leadership and vision. It rather blows a huge hole below the waterline of the alleged rhetoric coming from the board about commitment going forward and the determination to find the "right" investor for SFC. It implies they do not really care very much at all about the future of the club anymore as long as they get their £200m asking price. At which point no doubt they will all be off. Perhaps Rogers sensed this, fell out with Kreuger and left what he saw as a sinking ship. -

As you do. I've never bumped into a player on holiday in my life. Glad you can afford the sort of places to go on holiday that the millionaires frequent. "A few drinks may have helped loosen his tongue"... ? When did modern PL players start drinking alcohol, then? YCMIU! Oh, but you did.... -
Don't be so pathetic. Can't you find something better to do in the close season except write rubbish like this. Go on holiday and chill out.

Rather more the whiff of having trodden in dog poo!

Our lawyers wouldn't have started this if they thought we might be guilty of the same charges so let's push on and shifty them big time.

Ironic that you took him seriously.
-
I suppose you think you are making a point but it beats me. Why not take things at face value, these two statements are not linked in any way that you seem to think.

There are loads of rumours of players leaving but they are only rumours nobody has left, the transfer window is not open and none of our players can have been approached officially. If Saints say "No" then nobody will leave. Allowing key players to move on before future ownership issues are settled would be a folly of huge proportions by any owner. Would you be happy to buy a house if the owner sold the kitchen behind your back during final negotiations? Let's keep some perspective on this and see what happens in July, for now let's all take President Putin's advice " Don't worry, be happy!"

If this is true then I'm out.

Juvenile Tosh of the Day! Don't call us we'll call you!

They've knocked speculation on it's head in the past so why not now?
-
You've answered your own question. Put an end to the rumours so that everyone knows where they stand. "We are aware of the speculation in the press and amongst fans concerning the manager's position here at SFC but we want to re-iterate that that is exactly what it is, speculation about which we can do nothing. Claude Puel has a three year contract to be head coach of SFC and this remains the position" Now what harm is there is saying that, it took me just 30 seconds to write that! 30 Seconds!

I suppose it depends upon whether or not you believe that fans are stakeholders in the club and as such to expect to have some entitlement to be kept informed. As the club promotes "Together as One" and other similar slogans to rally people to the cause then it is perfectly reasonable for people like 9-3 in the absence of any communications to feel that they are being ignored and deliberately kept in the dark.

Shirt swap when he played against us?
-
It would explain why most of our headers go over the bar.
-
Reed has bottled it as we knew he would.
-
Could we not sell them (Sunderland) Reed and get in a cheap replacement? Should make no difference to pour league performance as we have a philosophy and a long term plan in which personnel have no impact on our progress upwards.

SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome

I think that says that a decision will NOT be made before June 5th -
......which sums us up as well. We were no better than most of them as the Huill game showed.

I've not met one fan who wants him to stay, some are equivocal and iffy about it but not one I know or chatted to has said categorically to me that he SHOULD stay. A few are cynical and sense that we'll be stuck with the guy anyway because of lack of bottle upstairs to grasp the nettle so we'll need to accept that and just get on with it. An empty stadium at pre-season friendlies should send a clarion call upstairs but knowing that lot they'll arrange to play most away so that they don't have to face reality. -

The owner was here on Sunday so the review and board meetings will have taken place earlier this week before she flew home or to the Seychelles. Once a decision was made on Puel's future why would they sit on it? If he was sacked along with his henchmen what makes anybody think that there would not have been some leaks from the sacked people, because they certainly would not have been happy people at losing their jobs. As the old saying goes, there is no good way to tell somebody that they have been made redundant so sacking them is many times worse. That we have heard nothing all week suggest only that he is staying. We all guessed that Puel was a Reed appointment so there was no chance Reed would admit failure and lose face by firing the bloke he had only recently sold to the board as the natural successor to pick up the reigns from Pochettino & Koeman and the next best thing to sliced bread. I'd love to have these words thrown back at me by opposite events but thigrows less likely by the day.
