  1. They owed us this one and they knew it. Well played Josh Sims!
  2. 100% on the money. He's a joke of a player.
  3. Excruciating crap from beginning to end. Truly F*ing awful. We are fast making ourselves a laughing stock. We deserved nothing, we got nothing.
  4. Some of you already know this but here is an IMPORTANT ALERT for all those staying at home this evening http://sport.bt.com/football/bt-sport-to-show-free-to-air-uefa-champions-league-and-uefa-europa-league-matches-S11364002870161 Saints are live on Freeview Channel 59 tonight at 6pm KO courtesy BT Sport. Yes! Live! Free! Legitimate! COYR
  5. Indeed Mr Fry and we have read plenty of it from you over the years, whoever you are. My advice to people like you is don't be so sure you know everything and the rest of us know nothing.
  6. Today VVD has become a Man U target (allegedly) so we may get to keep Jose after all. Always a silver lining.
  7. Can't you? Are you really a fan then? Just to spell it out to you... "because it happens all the bloody time and they are getting sick to the back teeth of being ripped off and treated as effing idiots"
  8. Raw data has only superficial interest, there are so many variables at play that serious interpretation is meaningless. That's before you factor in political dishonesty like counting ST sales as attendance irrespective of whether a ST holder is present or not which has probably always happened. I remember several sold-out matches at the Dell in bygone years when locked gates were forced open and people dived in for free by the hundreds... say no more. In fact on any one day at a match, it is doubtful anybody has a clue how many people are inside a ground.
  9. Which is what we do by and large but occasionally we strike lucky and find a rough diamond in amongst the clinker. I doubt there's much conscious design about our recruitment efforts but because we concentrate on a market sector that most are not looking at we get lucky once in a while. Most PL clubs want players proven at this level, we can't afford to compete with them. People seem to forget that we recruit quite a few players who attract no interest from other clubs. Watch carefully the Matchday Uncovered footage keeping a special eye open on Mr Sturridge in the corridor after the game cosying up to a few of our players, yes, of course England pals but more to it than that? Not saying we could actually afford him but perhaps he is signalling that he might fancy life a bit further south. Before you scoff, remember the big cuddles between Lallana & Gerrard in similar footage from the season prior to Lallana jumped ship.
  10. I hope the club and many of the 20/20 vision "experts" on here will be as sanguine about the club seeng players only as tradable assets when many of their spectators decide to move on as well.
  11. I hope not the bloke's becoming a liability.
  12. Nor van Dyke who said much he same! That joint interview said it all really, neither player wants to be here because they both think they are far too good for the rest of the team. Obviously they feel let down by the attackers who contributed little to hold the ball up create an attacking threat and reduce the pressure on the back line. I've been reluctant to even consider we might lose them both in January but they are in no mood to stay beyond June.
  13. Judging by today's pathetic response to ex-players - even Lovren was let off the hook after 15 minutes - it is doubtful anybody will even notice he's here. It's all history now and we should move on and spend our passions supporting our team.
  14. Puel had a game plan and it worked. Wish he had one where we get 75% of the ball and score at will. Good effort all round today, difficult to pick a MotM and unfair to say anybody played badly. Highlight for me was Forster's save from Mane, lowlight Austin's miss from 5yds with the whole goal at his mercy. We didn't merit a win but it would have been nice to snatch it if only to see Klopp go ballistic.
  15. She wouldn't! At the moment she is getting something like a 6/7% return annually on her investment which for these days is very good indeed. Unless she needs capital for another project where else will she get such a decent return? The only proviso is that profitability remains sustainable.
  16. Doubt it, more likely ------------Forster------------ Martina--Fonte--VVD--Bertrand ------------Romeu------------ ----Clasie--------Davis---- Redmond---Austin------Boufal Reasoning: Cedric not match fit; Holberg is an attack MF not defensive, need to stop their pacey runs so Clasie; Tadic rested to recuperate (maybe 15/20 mins if we are still in it).
  17. "If it goes off it'll cause £500,000 worth of improvements" Top Marks Andy, the headline alone was sufficient teasing to make one wonder how grossly obscene most of the comments would be. Glad to see some decent humour on show for once. I'll get my coat. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  18. Quite. Had he been another Rashford or Shearer for that matter he wouldn't be at Blackburn in the first place.
  19. All logic says you are right so the fact that it hasn't happened probably has more to do with the takeover rumours rather than any lack of willingness on our part or his. Perhaps now there is a freeze on all forms of future recruitment until ownership is sorted out. The new owners may not appreciate having all present players tied in for 5 years especially if the have big plans and big ambitions for the club. Massively expensive to move them on to make way for their recruits.
  20. We should remember that although he shone in last nigh's U21 match it was only the U21's and not the Premier League. The fact that he was not snapped up from Fulham should teach caution.
  21. We don't want to be accused of discrimination this Saturday so let's boo the whole lot of them equally.
  22. Reports today of Sturridge ready to move away from Liverpool with supposedly strong interest from Stoke and WHU. Surely Saints FC is a better destination for the lad. Perfect fit, striker, out of favour, capped for England, scores goals, injury prone, has a hugely embarrassing celebratory routine... what's not to like?
  23. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe_standing The Austrian Rail Seats idea seems a good compromise. I can't see any advantage as the terrace widths will not be ncreased and people standing shoulder to shoulder will take up the same amount of space as people sitting down shoulder-to-shoulder, as you do at SMS. How then do you squeeze in more people? Are there really that many people who would want to stand up for two hours rather than sit down? In some ways using the Austrian model, fans look even more constrained than they are now. Is that really what proponents want. Think this through carefully chaps you don't always get what you wish for. This is not 1970 and modern H & S regs won't allow you to relive your old memories. I am dead against it so you know my position.
  24. Obviously a very emotive subject depending upon people's favourites. Factually, Tadic, Austin, Redmond has been our strike force of choice and it just isn't effective in the Premier League. Those three players must shoulder the lion's share of the blame as in most matches they get plenty of time on the ball but fashion very little from all their possession. It's a cop out to blame Holberg, Davis and Ward prowess for not contributing enough and shying away from the unpalatable truth for many that our strike force isn't good enough at this level. Of course more constructive debate than "told you so" is needed but don't hold you breath for reinforcements to arrive anytime soon if Kat and her boys are focused on selling up and cashing in their chips.
