This is what happens when there are no independent observers present. Poll Rigging Scandal
-
Pellegrino is a disaster whichever way you look at it, just listen to the rhetorical claptrap he spouts every Friday to the press corps.
-
This does not bode well for next season in the Championship if nine of our first team squad cannot beat Fulham's kids. This is far worse than most of us thought possible.

Gao 'open to offers for Gabbiadini, Long and Austin'
Charlie Wayman replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
From what I read on here old chap, most people blame you. -
It is doubtful that selling or keeping van **** will make a scrap difference to our increasingly inept performances on the field under this manager. Not fair to lump Ryan in with the Dutchman 'though, he's been a great and loyal servant to our club and more than paid back the trust we put in him.

Managers across Europe will by now have worked out that it is not worth coming to the premier league for any other than the top six teams, the money gap has ensured that the other 14 clubs are just cannon fodder and therefore a poison chalice. Fans expectations (mine included) have not kept pace with reality, even the best mangers in the world would struggle and lose their jobs quickly at any of the 14 minnows, so ergo nobody worth his salt will bother to reply to job adverts. Why uproot your family only to be unceremonious dumped 6 months later. I'd face this reality head on and give the Brits a chance again. For my money I'd suggest Steve Bruce might be worth a shout.

3-0 every goal helps get rid of Pellegrino
-
We must beat the Toffees but without Romeu chances have just halved. Oh dear!
-
Why the surprise lads everyone predicted 3-0 or 4-0, just going to plan that's all. Surely must be Pellegrino's last game
-
What did the the poor little chap do to you then to justify such harsh punishment? I hope he will forgive you one day. A case for social services?

Since you love conspiracies VVD was nowhere to be seen in the training video preparing for the Bindippers match
-
Pellegrino more or less confirmed that van Dyck will be sold in January, "every player has his price" "I dunno", "it's up to the owners" .... He's gone!
-
That's one way of describing it. It could be even worse than that.

Take a look at how much we are paying to watch every league goal at home, long suffering hardly describes it... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41914171

Why, there are plenty of tickets left. Which games does he want to see
-
Totally agree with you. The type of through-ball Gabbi thrives on is obvious to fans but apparently not to the rest of the team! In a top six side he'd net a hat full.

Palace, Swansea & Bournemouth.

We don't need to be romantic about this and dream about a minor miracle we are not very good and this is a very tough fixture. Liverpool attack at pace although their movement off the ball is not always as inspired as it should be but Mane and Coutinho have the pace and guile to find plenty of space in behind our back four as we tend to defend zonally and often lose track of wing backs running wide. Our defence is good but they will need to concentrate more than they have done lately, any lapses and we'll be torn apart. For that reason one suspects Cedric & Bertie will be held back in line so as not to get caught forward with balls from Emre Can over the top. That will put tremendous pressure on our wide attackers and attacking midfielder to to get down the lines and in behind their back four. Somehow I can't see that happening, our pace and movement on and off the ball is bordering diabolical and how can anything change before the weekend? Our goalscoring opportunities it would seem may be few and far between. In these circumstance Pellegrino seems most likely to go defensive from the kick off and hope for a 0-0 draw at best. We have been so frail at the back 'though that it seems impossible we could play the full 90 without conceding against one of the best teams in the league. If one goes in Pellegrino is up muddy creek without a paddle as he is probably only a defeat or two away from the boot anyway so if he tries to get one back for the equaliser he risks opening the floodgates behind. On the other hand if he goes one down he might think "bugger it" might as well go for it and risk losing 4-0 trying than lose 1-0. I can't see us getting anything from this and for me and for the reasons above my prediction is 0-3.

Wishful thinking old chap, wishful thinking. Ricky showed how it should be done, this bloke will never be another Ricky.

We seem to have gone out of fashion very quickly, not a sniff of a Saint past or present out here last night except for Ryan's leg stretched 10 mins at the end and he isn't really one of our own (although we love him of course!). Is this because we use Sure and not Lynx?

What was it they used to say "Bull**** Baffles Brains"? In all honesty if Saint Lard's revelation is anywhere near the mark, Pellegrino's situation is way beyond impressing a few soccer scribes of the press. Anybody up at St Mary's this morning watching comings and goings? Steve Grant or Nick Illingsworth are usually good at that sort of thing.

Who makes these things up? The Echo is a happy hunting ground for idiots that's for sure.

All players do well against Saints

This has never been an observed in my lifetime of attending football matches except during these past three year or so. I just don't get it. War has nothing to do with football so why has this whole charade become so prevalent or special to the game? Of course, last Saturday was All Saints Day and should be special but singling out one event from our long bloody history for special commemoration at football matches smacks of sentimentality gone mad. At 11.00am on the 11th day of November ever year we all stand still for a minute or two's silence to remember the sacrifices of our countrymen in the cause of freedom in all wars not just the Great War. Can't we just leave it at that? What is important is not "celebrating" the past but making sure it never happens again to our young men. You do that through education and democracy. Yes, I lost relatives in both wars and also had a few who were heroes sprinkled in amongst them. They live on in my memory and my kids memories and that must be true for many on here . If you doubt my perspective just reflect that nobody ever pays homage to our losses at Waterloo, Crimea or Austerlitz for that matter. Does anybody know if they had family members there or not?

Until we get rid of Hunter & Jaidi, what do you expect? They are not exactly candidates for Brain of Britain. The whole Academy system needs a bloody big shake up, at the moment they are churning out really nice blokes who will become model citizens but can't play football!
