Probably have no interest in Bertrand, more likely agent talk and the usual **** stirring hostility of the Daily Mail to anything Saints related.

It would be good 'though if we did actually sign somebody soon. Mind you Benitez is also finding this window frustrating as asking prices for even journeymen are beyond ridiculous in this season's inflated financial climate. -
The PL seem incapable (or disinterested) of independent judgement of these allegations and it is high time an independent enquiry of this sort of corruption football was set up by the FA under the auspices of a high court judge under oath and legal redress.

WTFILV? -
Not sure this is good news for the lad. If he was to have any future here surely he'd have gone with the 28 man squad to Austria. The fact that he hasn't is a sign that the Club had already made up their mind about him and Pellegrino wasn't going to be given the chance to change their minds. Very unlikely he'll be coming back. Having seen him in action quite a few times with the U23's and in the odd run-out with the grown-ups he came across to me as pretty much a one dimensional traditional centre forward where energy was amongst his strongest suites.

Sad to read of the passing of Ken Wimshurst, great player for Saints in the TerryPaine era of the early 1960's and a really nice bloke. Saw him play many times, he read the play well and could pick out Terry with a pass even in the dark. Thanks for all you did for us back then Ken, RIP.

There has been so much hype surrounding the player that it has become difficult now to remember how good he really was or is. Is he really the best CB in the world as the press would have us believe? For this reason next season could be a real test for him to live up to the hype. He is certainly eye catching because of his height and long lazy strides which gives him such a speed advantage over most other players and his penchant for moving forward to support attacks but he was often caught out of position through his forays forward and sometimes guilty of poor shape discipline in his own half leading to conceding goals and often knackered towards the end of games. We will see and I hope and expect that this will be at Southampton but don't be surprised if it all proves over time to be a little less than what everyone is expecting.

Ridiculous slur against the chap. He was voicing what many on here would like to see, SRL back here perhaps not as a player but in some sort of promotional or coaching role.

Yes, indeed! The gift he gave to Bradley at the end of his tragic young life is inestimable.

Don't forget the very public touchline spat with Tadic at the end of the season which happened right in front of the Ichen Centre fans and the board, who looked far from impressed. Even Puel looked embarrassed over that incident. All is not well as far as Black is concerned and these new rumours/leaks of the "players liking him" could just be plants. -
Good first interview. Usual dumb questions from that monosyllabic interviewer. he is an embarrassment to the club every time he speaks. Get rid! "How pleased are you to be here?" Give me strength. " ... not pleased at all, they had to handcuff me and force me to read a stupid bloody script about how great everything adn everyone is at this club..." As if!

The only reason why Ryan might leave is his age. At the end of the season he was quite obviously tired and finding regular games tough to get through physically. If a bigger club offered him more money as squad player it might suit him to sit on the bench for say one on three games as aback-up to A.N.Other.

Been at the blue bottle again?

Les the Alchemist still thinks he can turn Lead into gold

Nothing to do with kudos old sport, there was nobody other than Pelligrino left because Les dithered so much; it was him or Allardyce!
-
Did I miss a joke here?
-
But what if 'our' first choice goes tits-up and we are fighting relegation all season. Doubt Les would then claim whoever we get was his first choice!

Don't be silly.

It's great isn't it, we come on here every day have the same conversation every day but we get no information at all to fuel our conversation. Let's be honest folks we are a boring bunch of old far.ts with nothing better to do with our time than repeat ourselves endlessly. which is what boring old fa.rts are expected to do!

Fair price for the New Henry!

Why do you keep buying it, it is not as if this will be the only disruption of the season? We are always being F'd about by Sky & BT so trying to plan your life around fixture lists that are never set in stone is a waste of energy and time. Numerous times last season we had to make choices from clashing events and lost a lot of money as a result. So no ST for me this year irrespective of more recent going's on
