  1. ... and he does a very good line in mimicry, now adoptiing the Johnny Wilkinson concentrated looking sequence, first at the ball, then at the goal, then at the ball, then at the goal before kicking it over the bar! Hang on JWP, isn't it supposed to go under the bar?
  2. Since we are listing the success stories of other clubs in appointing new managers to save their seasons, an honourable mention for Woy of the Palarse A new manager brought in now could not possibly do any worse than the incumbent who has put us into the situation we find ourselves in now, the worse possible outcome of a change of manager would be no change in our performance. So the worst outcome of a change would be relegation with a fight rather than what we have now, relegation without a fight. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.. do not go gentle into that goodnight.
  3. Yep! The table does not lie. What a waste of the last 5 years this has been. We've been sold down the Swanee good and proper. It was the same mistake Thatcher made when she assumed rich people would be benefactors to society as a whole. As she found out the hard way and as we have now found out rich people are just greedy opportunistic Bs who are just in it for their own gain and have no interest in the rest of us. The money's gone, the assets are gone and of course the 'great benefactor' has gone, surprise, surprise.
  4. You are unbelievable.. do nothin and it'll all turn out right in the end! I'm with Guan on this, the voice of the fans has a right to be heard or we'll be shafted again and again. It might not bring about change but it'll certainly stir things up a bit and might even shock the complacent b****** upstairs. There'll be a far bigger protest next year when nobody buys a season ticket to watch Division 2 football.
  5. Probably penny pinching to save money on that as well. They're letting the team go to rack and ruin so why not the infrastructure as well? Let's just hope the bloody roof won't collapse on us if they reduce maintenance schedules....
  6. How many repetitive threads do we need on this bloody subject. There's nothing left to talk about.
  7. What's right at Southampton would have been a more suitable title. Even the junior teams are crap!
  8. Everything derogatory that can be said of Reed has been said but it seems to have made no impact at all on the man or his actions, everything remains exactly the same it's like water off a duck's back. Same with Mike Ashley, the only difference is that Reed doesn't own this club at least not yet. Fact is these grasping "self-made" arrogant fat cats from humble origins can often be the very worst kind of people to deal with astray probaly couldn't give a monkey's toss about what the rest of their peers (us) think or do. Part of me wants to see a mass protest on Sunday including a mass boycott and a half empty stadium but it is doubtful even those actions will have much impact judging by the Newcastle experience. The one thing that could hurt them and sting them into action is wholesale rejection of season tickets next season but that will be to late to save us now.
  9. He's had plenty of time to appoint a new CEO but hasn't so you'd have to conclude that he thinks Kreuger is good enough for him.
  10. I wonder if Pellegrino himself would also like to be put out of his mercy but can't afford to resign? If Les lacks the balls to sack him because of his own loss of face and probably his job then the poor sod is trapped. He must be very well aware of all the bile and abuse that he is getting on social media every single day and nobody can cope with that indefinitely or the effect it must be having on his physche and family life. Is he just going through the motions? Can seem so at times at his press conferences.
  11. You're wrong about that, Reed & Kreuger sit in the front row of the director's 'box'; there is an open space in front of them for disabled fans and their helpers. Probably be 100 steward's up there on Sunday
  12. After the way Spurs played havoc with BFS's well drilled side yesterday we can only hide behind the sofa next Sunday and hope that Pochettino being an ex-Saint will call off his attack dogs after 4-0 to save our blushes. I'm giving this one a miss as don't want to be part of the inevitable fall-out afterwards. It could get very ugly indeed. Besides which I am beginning to hate the idea of sitting in the same stand as Reed and Kreuger and The Clown.
  13. Come off it, he's missed 5 games through injury. Give the guy a chance.
  14. You've got your wish Davis off and Lemina must deliver the time. Where the F is Boufal?
  15. Inevitable! Sit back and that's what happens. Lose this 3-2 and surely we'll die rid of the manager?
  16. Looks like the've given him a single rail ticket to Southampton from London via Liverpool? Seems a very long way around to me, isn't there a more direct one?
  17. Martina's wonder strike against Arsenal deserves a worthy mention. Shocked silence followed by huge roar.
  18. The spontaneous roar from every stand after Boufal's wonder goal against WBA. Nothing else in all my years attending has come evenly remotely close to that.
  19. Cheer up! You can watch the Highlights first on the OS where Saints always have 95% possession and are unlucky not to get all three points even when defeated 5-2. One thing you can say about Morris Pellegrimo is that he is very consistent and you can rely on him to deliver the results we all expect. No doubt we will lose 2 or 3 - 1 but come Monday morning nothing will have changed, Morris still in place and the dynamic duo will be wearing their invisible cloaks. How about we all boycott the Spurs match next weekend? Even our club couldn't spin 20,000 empty seats and it would certainly guarantee that we were lsat on MotD as befits a club that might be Last in the PL. Action from fans is long overdue. No good pretending all is well when it isn't and "things will work out fine in the end just you wait and see" because they won't!
  20. cheap!
  21. Not just an inkling my friend. You just have to look at what's happening elsewhere to see how transfers can take place very quickly indeed when all parties are serious. You'd have thought a transfer fee of £143m would be the subject of weeks and weeks of bartering but no, it went through at the drop of a hat. The lack of activity here confirms one of two things, lack of intent or a useless effing negotiator at work. Surely spending £15/20m isn't that difficult.
  22. Bloody hell the clown still hasn't been sacked and not a whisper of any incoming transfers. Is anybody surprised?
  23. Nah! Reading too much into it. VVD wasn't a replacement for Lovren here.
  24. How do I feel this morning as a fan? Another day of inactivity at SFC, no news, no sackings, no spending, no new players yet the same old company line bull**** from the Pitchside Clown .... It is any wonder we are all cynical about what's going on at SMS? Whether they like it or not we are stakeholders in this football club and without us they will die. Ignore us at your peril SFC.
  25. Pellegrino says "What am I supposed to do with this hairdryer?"
