Sounds more like wishful thinking than offering any real insight as to why things are not going as smoothly as many had believed they would. Nobody in negotiations goes slowly deliberately so it looks very much as 'though there are stumbling blocks. Either their are other candidates or there is a clash of views on who does what and who will be responsible for what. If there is no transfer budget that might be one hell of a sticking point although had that been the case Hughes might well have walked already. The fact that he is still in the building suggests he is still in the frame but whatever aspects have divided them will likely leave a sour taste one way or the other. Not a good start.

I beg your pardon?

Nah! Waiting on Emery to make up his mind, us or Arsenal.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

That's the trouble with you chaps, you expect the Club to have high ambitions but set your own sites far too low. Why are we even discussi -
Sterling & Kane are most definitely world class and will succeed on any stage but they need a high quality midfield to create opportunities for them. Dier also is not the man being a journeyman at best but Dele All is a different kettle of fish. If only he can get his right and put in 100% effort he could be one of the stars of the tournament. On his day he is one of those players with magic in his feet but all too often he is distracted by taking easy options like diving instead of busting g a gut to score legitimately. Don't rule out Vardy either as a world beater but once again he needs service from the middle to do his finishing act. All in all Alli is the key to our world cup, if he turns it on England could do well. As for Bertie, well tough cookies mate but Southgate is looking forward to 2020 and beyond and time is not on his side.

Ah!, Mark is it now? How long before he becomes Effing Hughes as in Effing Puel and Effing Pellegrino? Just asking. Best to stay neutral my friend, that way no egg on face when the brown stuff hits the fan.

There is always a surprise team that play fast open football and score at ease that takes everyone by surprise. That's what makes it worth watching but knowing that after all only the big boys will make it to the quarter finals. From then on it's boring as hell.

That money could have bought us a decent Centre Half

There is a simple answer to this, if Gao persists with Kreuger & Reed then he can stick his ST renewal invitations where the sun don't shine!
-
The truth is there for all to see, these blokes are just covering each other's arses. Our only hope for something better is that Gao can see right through this fog of posture and surreality. If ever there was a case of The Emperor wearing an invisible cloak. Blackmore should have gone for the jugular, it wasn't only Reed who suddenly became dumb, where was the great Kreuger when the sh*t hit the fan and fans just wanted reassurance. Safe enough to come out of hiding now Ralphie?
-
I gave up after 3mins of listening to his self-serving complacent bull-****, the idiot seems to be in permanent self-denial and if he is implying that he and Reed are here for the long haul then one thing's for certain many fans will stick two fingers up at the Club and walk away. let's see what happens when ST sales take up halves.

Simo, you can be a bloody misery at times. Is it cos there are no Saints. At least there's a really good chance of Bertie staying here next season. Failing to get a call-up will plant in other club's minds that he is damaged goods and over the hill and it'll make him less likely to hanker for a move.
-
Pretty much agree with you only Carillo obviously and McQueen / Prowse might be better looking for their futures elsewhere as they are only ever going to be bit part players here. Give Sims and Hesketh one more season perhaps but we should be looking at our younger players now. These guys have been around long enough to break through and haven't really grab their chances.

I've watched him a lot this season and it does not surprise me at all.Sadly, not very imaginative and extremely one dimensional. Like a poor man's Charlie Austin, can't hold the ball and always in the wrong place at the wrong time. League 2 player at best. -

Aldeweirald and Rose want out of Spurs, so good combo for us. Boufal off according to Mail and French sources following comments he made on French TV -
Fair point. My hunch is that Bednarek & Hoedt are the better bets for our future. Let's hope that the Wise Old Head doesn't turn out to be Shawcross 'though!
-
No. Quite wrong about that. Bertie looked like he had pulled a hamstring. He stopped very quickly after one of his runs and came off immediately. Could cost him his last vcrack at a WC. Nothing fake about it and it unsettled our defence quite badly. McQueen just isn't a PL player, another one to be shown the door.
-
Well in fact he didn't here were only 3 mins added for the six subs. We lost because block-head Stevens abandon his post under fire. The bloke is a liability.
-
Jan Bednerak and Wesley Hoedt are young players in a position where age and experience count for a very great deal. We would be crazy to lose either of them, in two years time they will develop into one of the outstanding partnership in the PL and you'll all be moaning because we've let them leave for big clubs.
-
It won't be, wait and see. Why would he uproot his family unless a London club guaranteed him first team football which they won't and he didn't have to move house. He's a London boy and would hate living Up North, especially the Lancashire part of Up North.
-
Does it matter? Nobody gives a fish's tit except you apparently.
-
A grad of honour for what exactly? Being a buch of show-boating dilettante effing multi-millionaires who have ruined the PL as a competition and English football for everyone else. Sod that for a lark! Sunday is not the time to star gaze and collect sky blue shirts. Time to show our own lads a bit of respect, they've had bugger all from most fans all season.
-
and they need 3 goals for the 100. Could be a spanking.
