  1. Simo, you can be a bloody misery at times. Is it cos there are no Saints. At least there's a really good chance of Bertie staying here next season. Failing to get a call-up will plant in other club's minds that he is damaged goods and over the hill and it'll make him less likely to hanker for a move.
  2. Pretty much agree with you only Carillo obviously and McQueen / Prowse might be better looking for their futures elsewhere as they are only ever going to be bit part players here. Give Sims and Hesketh one more season perhaps but we should be looking at our younger players now. These guys have been around long enough to break through and haven't really grab their chances.
  3. I've watched him a lot this season and it does not surprise me at all.Sadly, not very imaginative and extremely one dimensional. Like a poor man's Charlie Austin, can't hold the ball and always in the wrong place at the wrong time. League 2 player at best.
  4. Aldeweirald and Rose want out of Spurs, so good combo for us. Boufal off according to Mail and French sources following comments he made on French TV
  5. Fair point. My hunch is that Bednarek & Hoedt are the better bets for our future. Let's hope that the Wise Old Head doesn't turn out to be Shawcross 'though!
  6. No. Quite wrong about that. Bertie looked like he had pulled a hamstring. He stopped very quickly after one of his runs and came off immediately. Could cost him his last vcrack at a WC. Nothing fake about it and it unsettled our defence quite badly. McQueen just isn't a PL player, another one to be shown the door.
  7. Well in fact he didn't here were only 3 mins added for the six subs. We lost because block-head Stevens abandon his post under fire. The bloke is a liability.
  8. Daft twit!
  9. Jan Bednerak and Wesley Hoedt are young players in a position where age and experience count for a very great deal. We would be crazy to lose either of them, in two years time they will develop into one of the outstanding partnership in the PL and you'll all be moaning because we've let them leave for big clubs.
  10. It won't be, wait and see. Why would he uproot his family unless a London club guaranteed him first team football which they won't and he didn't have to move house. He's a London boy and would hate living Up North, especially the Lancashire part of Up North.
  11. Does it matter? Nobody gives a fish's tit except you apparently.
  12. A grad of honour for what exactly? Being a buch of show-boating dilettante effing multi-millionaires who have ruined the PL as a competition and English football for everyone else. Sod that for a lark! Sunday is not the time to star gaze and collect sky blue shirts. Time to show our own lads a bit of respect, they've had bugger all from most fans all season.
  13. and they need 3 goals for the 100. Could be a spanking.
  14. The last thing we should do now is start hiring loads of cast offs from other failed clubs. OK if Man C or Ma u want to shed one or two older players like Yaya Toure then we should try to bring them in, we need a wise old head or two and some real quality. We will need a few fresh faces as otherwise ewe may just have delayed the inevitable for one more season. Hopefully there will not be a summer exodus of our better players like Bertie, Tadic or Cedric despite the unfair stick they get from the less intelligent part of our fanbase. Anybody who has seen the great joy in our dressing room after the Swansea win can have no serious doubts about the sheer commitment of these guys to this club and this team. Of course a few will have to go, on my list Austin, Long, Boufal and Redmond probably also Forster who will want first team football somewhere.
  15. The main factor in selecting a new manager is, is he cheap and available (i.e. out of work). No doubt Hughes meets both requirements in the close season so everyone should be happy.
  16. Well done chaps!
  17. I'd like to see him score a few more goals.
  18. What worries me most about tomorrow night is not our back line without Yoshi but that we have no alternative striker to the two useless bankers Austin & Long. Where is/are our goal(s) coming from now that Redmond and Tadic have scored their seasons quotas. We won't win if the ball doesn't go into their net - obvious? - and that is the biggest barrier to us staying up. We cannot score goals! Had we been 2-0 on Saturday the late error would not have mattered at all which people seem to forget.
  19. Can't see what there is for him to explain, he spelled it out in black and white exactly as can be seen on the match replays. The ref cocked up big time for whatever reasons so the dear old FA are once again looking after their own rather than accept their ref got it wrong. If I were Hughes I'd tell them to G off.
  20. What's sad about a bloke of nearly seventy walking off into the sunset with best part of £100m in his back pocket courtesy of Sky Sports courtesy of you me and all our fellow mugs who made all that possible. The owes us a debt of gratitude not the other way around!
  21. That's what happens when you worry about the wrong things. This time next week you'll have all the answers so forget about the others teams and what/ifs/maybe's.
  22. Beat Swansea and we're more or less home & dry. OK a 5-0 thrashing by ManC and a win for Swansea could stop us but really is it likely?
  23. Isn't knowingly receiving stolen goods a criminal offence. Bit rash to say so on here, now the whole world knows so you can expect a 'knock' :-(
  24. Complete and Utter Tosh!
  25. Yep! A dose of reality beckons. Too many wishful thinkers on here.
