  1. Rarely have I read such incomprehensible and illiterate nonsense as that uttered to Adam Leitch by Ralph Kreuger. This man does not use corporate speak. I have been party to corporate speak for most of my career and no senior figure in any blue chip company that I've been involved with ever used language remotely akin to this. Corporate speak is coded for a reason but the code is fairly easy to decipher. This guy's language is purely his own interpretation of corporate speak that comes across as undiluted waffle incoherently disguised to confuse. He styles himself as the great communicator, you couldn't make it up. Surely he has exceeded his sell-by date for credibilty.
  2. It's been pretty evident for the last few years that the Academy was no longer producing PL class players, even their style of play was hard to determine for both the 18's and 23's. I've watched quite a few of the junior games in that time and have despaired of seeing any progress in patterns of play or of individual players. Indeed many kids such as Valery seem to have gone backwards. The finger had to be pointed at Hunter sooner or later and he deserves to go for this most serious of failures, as a strong Academy was supposed to be the way we combated the big money teams to hold our own at the top of the PL. Good riddance to Reed and good riddance to Hunter and I hope a few more will follow them out the door soon.
  3. Yep, constructive dismissal, soon to be followed by Yoshida and Romeu. All part of the plan to repay Gao's loan.
  4. I'll bet he is quaking in his boots! Are you for real "Red". Think twice, act once is always a good adage to heed.
  5. I have a pre-planned non-attendance for the whole 90 minutes. Put simply, I am fed up with the whole thing and unless they show a bit more interest and take some positive steps to improve then I'll spend my Saturday afternoons elsewhere. Hughes' complacent bull**** cuts no ice with me at all. He is clearly not the man we need and just as clearly the goons who appointed him are staying put. That's fine all it has cost them is one more regular supporter. Why do you need to go at all IQ, seven minutes missed is hardly a boycott? No gain without pain!
  6. You said it yourself. The reason most managers get fired is because they keep losing. Hughes has lost more than enough games already.
  7. WTF are you saying man, never saw you as a defeatist. Grow some balls we are far better than that!
  8. .... and many think Hughes is a dinosaur. They need to be very careful what they wish for.
  9. I can't believe Hughes is still here. FFS SACK the useless barsteward today!!!!!!!
  10. Won't be long before sponsors start to walk, then something will change. On a brighter note, maybe this type of one-sided game will prove to be a catalyst for splitting the PL into PL1 & PL2 of 12 or 16 teams.
  11. What are you on about? If you were there last Saturday you would have seen that every one of our players was totally committed to our cause none more so than Bertrand. It isn't passion that's lacking it is basic football skills among our front three attacking players that is killing us. Until we can get shot of that quartet of neanderthals we'll get nowhere.
  12. That doesn't make any sense at all, every one of our players is playing at the highest level currently attainable in their careers - if they could play at a higher level they would be doing so already so of course they are going to give it their all just to try to improve themselves, attract attention and advance their own careers.
  13. The Dell was a cold, wet and windy filthy **** hole of a place to spend a Saturday afternoon. I was glad to see the back of the bloody place. In comparison SMS is the last word in luxury living.
  14. Cough, cough, splutter! Are we really now taking Stephens seriously? How far have we fallen?
  15. Very doubtful based on their disjointed display against Middlesbro last weekend. You are forgetting just how big the gap is between the worse PL sides and the best the Championship can offer. Very soon promotion to the PL will become pointless.
  16. It turns out that micro-pigs are just baby pigs that have been cruelly malnourished during infancy. Once they are fed properly they soon become big fat pigs again.
  17. Unbelievably insensitive. What an absolute idiot you are.
  18. You're probably too young to remember them. Kids today, I dunno!
  19. Which shows just how far we have declined as a serious football More importantly the game is a certainty for cancellation in these dreadful circumstances and I am confident SFC will help fans already committed to going.
  20. Good luck Glenn.
  21. It's going to be bloody freezing up there this afternoon so expect half our lot to be wearing gloves and leg warmers and only going through the motions.
  22. That's because in most leagues the top clubs are promoted out of it and replaced by poor teams in serial decline from a league above. So mediocrity is maintained. In the PL the top teams remain as the top teams because there is nowhere for them to be promoted.
  23. He has been left behind by Henderson & Berkley. A year or two ago he was seen in the same light as those two midfielders by the media and no doubt by national team set-up at St George's. Arguably had he been with a top six club with far better players around him to help his development he would have continued to progress and maybe realised all those earlier hopes and expectations. Staying in a comfortable backwater is never a good strategy for a young person in any profession but in the highly charged media spotlit world of football, to be the best you have to rub shoulders with the best. His chance appears to have gone.
  24. Hughes seems to be in permanent denial at his press conferences, he's been saying for weeks "we have a very good group of players" "we are about to turn a corner and move up the league" "we create more chances than most other clubs" "we just need to start converting a few more of these and we'll be fine". Yet, nothing changes and today he admitted for the first time it won't happen overnight What an indictment of him and his coaching staff. The excuses are being lined up already for this weekend and where is the passion you'd expect from a manager with his back to the wall? "Newcastle are a much better team that their points tally suggests, 6 of their opening games have been against top six clubs, they were 2-0 up against Man U...." "Losing Tadic was a big blow" "It's very hard to get any points in the PL" He's under pressure alright but with Les's 3-year gold plated contract in his back pocket why should he be worried?
  25. Exactly this please
