They might actually be quite good at it you old sexist duffer!

Many of us do that every time Shearer, Wright, Keown and Jenas open their gobs, oh and that baldy guy who professes to be very wise.

Should be worth a regular starting place for that alone. Wonder why the PL's lawyers ducked sanctioning him... was it because he was telling the truth?

Not plastic ones but perhaps those are not real colanders?

Saints to give £250,000 to Gift to Richard Scudamore
Charlie Wayman replied to Hatch's topic in The Saints
So Sickening, it makes your flesh creep. At least Robin Hood robbed the rich to feed the poor. Hang your greedy heads in shame Premier League. Come on Mr Taxman, make sure it's not all dressed up in fancy clothes to avoid the nation's 40% due. -
Typical vacillation from PL why not just introduce it now, why wait 'til next year? All the logistics & supply issue could be fulfilled by Amazon by Saturday...

Isn't that always the way at SFC. Whilst Ralph and his team are pondering their stagey for replacing the DoF and the team continue to play relegation football under a failed charlatan of a manger, other clubs work quickly to find their new men and get rid of the rotten apples in their own set-ups. By the time Ralph & Co get around to even considering options for Hughes, there won't be any decent managers left and we will way beyond the brink of salvation.

He's never going to be any good under any manager, he isn't a natural footballer and he is physically weak and cannot read the game. He's had more chances to cement a place in the team than any other player we've produced from the Academy in recent times and he is far from being the best of his era. What's worse is that we are likely paying him a shed-load of dosh. If Gao wants to start reeling in the money then flogging off the dead wood like Ward Prowse will be a good place to start. Also high time we had a new poster boy from the Academy

Whoosh - went straight over your head that one didn't it? (quote!)

Hindsight is not the way to judge historical decisions attractive as it may be to demonstrate wisdom afterwards. Every action, every decision has a context and must be viewed in that context. At the time most people hated the regressive style of play introduced by Puel after the exhilarating gung-ho football of the Koeman Bros.

You cannot be serious!

Exactly right but it was a ruse that backfired on him. His real modus operandii is revealed by the disappearance of Oriol Romeu. Reed got sacked for incompetence by bringing in poor players and a succession of poor coaching staffs not for team selection or substitutions. Kreuger should be sacked for inaction over these obvious failures of his Deputy Chairman / DOF. It is evident that the owner took things into his own hands in the end out of sheer frustration, which as we all know is very bad news for Kreuger. He will be very well aware that his days here are numbered.

Rarely have I read such incomprehensible and illiterate nonsense as that uttered to Adam Leitch by Ralph Kreuger. This man does not use corporate speak. I have been party to corporate speak for most of my career and no senior figure in any blue chip company that I've been involved with ever used language remotely akin to this. Corporate speak is coded for a reason but the code is fairly easy to decipher. This guy's language is purely his own interpretation of corporate speak that comes across as undiluted waffle incoherently disguised to confuse. He styles himself as the great communicator, you couldn't make it up. Surely he has exceeded his sell-by date for credibilty.

It's been pretty evident for the last few years that the Academy was no longer producing PL class players, even their style of play was hard to determine for both the 18's and 23's. I've watched quite a few of the junior games in that time and have despaired of seeing any progress in patterns of play or of individual players. Indeed many kids such as Valery seem to have gone backwards. The finger had to be pointed at Hunter sooner or later and he deserves to go for this most serious of failures, as a strong Academy was supposed to be the way we combated the big money teams to hold our own at the top of the PL. Good riddance to Reed and good riddance to Hunter and I hope a few more will follow them out the door soon.

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official
Charlie Wayman replied to Portugalsaint's topic in The Saints
Yep, constructive dismissal, soon to be followed by Yoshida and Romeu. All part of the plan to repay Gao's loan. -
I'll bet he is quaking in his boots! Are you for real "Red". Think twice, act once is always a good adage to heed.

I have a pre-planned non-attendance for the whole 90 minutes. Put simply, I am fed up with the whole thing and unless they show a bit more interest and take some positive steps to improve then I'll spend my Saturday afternoons elsewhere. Hughes' complacent bull**** cuts no ice with me at all. He is clearly not the man we need and just as clearly the goons who appointed him are staying put. That's fine all it has cost them is one more regular supporter. Why do you need to go at all IQ, seven minutes missed is hardly a boycott? No gain without pain!
-
You said it yourself. The reason most managers get fired is because they keep losing. Hughes has lost more than enough games already.
-
WTF are you saying man, never saw you as a defeatist. Grow some balls we are far better than that!
