I get the impression that even Hasenhüttl is not ITK. Anything that spices up the January window is fare game for me so keep posting. I guess we both suspect that come the end of the month Saints will have failed to bring in anybody of any significance having meanwhile sold off even more of the family silver however tarnished it may have appeared to some. Only JWP seems immune to such rumours and gossip, wonder why that is? Having got themselves relegated from the PL U23 last year it is good to see so much faith being put in that same group of young players to save us in the PL proper. You couldn't make it up.

I wouldn't play a card like that even if I was ITK which I clearly am not and I'm betting this is another pile of bull**** from one of the best NITK bull****ters. I keep my eyes on the screen every day but sod all ever happens. Even Ralph looks as 'though he is thoroughly ****ed off about something.

What little hope we have of staying up depends on Cedric & Bertrand reprising their best attacking full back roles in the run-in to May. I cannot seriously believe that Ralph would willingly let either go unless their contracts had run down and they wanted out at all cost. The silly season is well and truly with us. The very idea that Valery and Targett are in any way adequate replacements for these two international players is laughable. Maybe Everton are playing silly buggers, you are unsettling Lookman so we'll queer your effing pitchn as well.

Nothing unusual about that after all he is a professional footballer and if he does move he will want to stay match fit and hit the ground running at a new club. He cannot afford another Southampton in/out saga in his career.
-
This is all rubbish. He is our No 1 choice by a country mile. The sudden reappearance and associated noise surrounding Mr Forster is all to do with putting him the shop window. At the moment all our efforts seem to be concentrated on selling players.

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official
Charlie Wayman replied to Portugalsaint's topic in The Saints
It's good that we are selling off the dross like Gabbiadini & Davis but keeping top quality players like Long & Ward Prowse, at long last a transfer policy that makes sense..... -
What's ever right with him? Always nursing an injury even when playing. Surely we can opt out of the "buy" clause in his loan contract. The lad is looking like a long term liability and we can ill afford £20m on a player who is only fit for one match in every four or five.
-
Jobs for the boys. Bet he's not doing it for free either. What possible value can this be to the club? Amazing that we have enough money for this find of extravagance but none for new players? Is this to appease fans when we reach Day 31 of the transfer window having sold three or four of our only valuable assets but failing to recruit even one new player. Sounds like an unnecessary distraction to me at a time when all our effort should be spent on staying in the Division.

Clashes with another event that we've signed up for so this one gets a miss. Not sure I care that much really after the dire display at the weekend.

OK I'll bite, who is this guy Nixon? Not the one who nearly got himself impeached?
-
Keep an eye on Will Ferry.... just saying.
-
Good luck Steven. See you back here one day as manager.
-
You're like a stuck record mate playing to an audience of one. Cedric played very well yesterday.
-
Interesting but muddled thinking.
-
Borderline sexist mate. Try to be fair minded. What about excitable morons like Wright and Dixon?
-
Meanwhile the U23's beat Stoke 2-0 last night to go top of the PL 2/2 which when you consider the depletion of the U23 squad as a result of Ralph's raids on their youngsters ain't bad at all. Several U18's were picked and looked good enough. Promising indeed.

What!? Are you for real. The player is injured FFS.

Derby v Saints (FA Cup - 3rd Round) Build Up and match thread
Charlie Wayman replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Derby will not want to jeopardise their play-off chances so will likely field a weakened (sic: rotation) side. Their reserves v our reserves. As Ralph said, respecting the FA Cup and its traditions... Who wants to lose most? -
Southampton FC fan base, an embarrassment to the club.
Charlie Wayman replied to SKD's topic in The Saints
People having fun? What kind of moron utters drivel like this, ask yourself that! -
Why do you suggest that MaCarthy wants to leave? He's been called up for England, he's No 1 at Saints so why on earth do you imagine he'd chuck all that away to sit on a bench somewhere else? What would be the point of him going anywhere except to a top 6 side with guarantees of a first team place and that's not going to happen is it.
-
So this is where we are now. Are we supposed to rejoice because we held Chelsea to a 0-0 with the high pressing tactic of putting 11 men behind the ball? We are losing touch with even Palace and Brighton now. Only six teams left in the dogfight really. For all Ralph's bombast, I can't see a way out of this mess unless by some miracle we buy a couple of fast wingers of world class in January and that is about as likely as snow in August in Southampton
-
Yeah but apart from that?
-
Difficult when everything is missing from Ploddy Prowse's game 'though.
-
Usual frenetic level of January transfer activity at SMS then? How many in's and out's has that been in the first two days? Uh None!
-
Contracts or no contracts why can't we just fire some of these useless clowns for failing abysmally to reach the standards of play expected of them when they signed on as any company would. FFS surely there are goals and performance standards implicit and written in any contract. Bugger compensation just kick the useless sods out on their backsides. Sack them in short and get the keys to the first team loo back before they leave.
