I guess you were looking for something smart and original to say but your comment is utter tosh. If it proves to be one of the Scousers worst performance it will because Saints limited and frustrated them for most of the afternoon and stopped them playing they way they like to play. In the first half particularly the visitors were second best and had to play the way we wanted to play. Shame they've got Mane and we're stuck with Ings, a two-way swap that is quite unequal. It's always worth going to matches to find out what really happened.

Thought Boufal would have been on the bench today, he's been really good in training.

We can be pretty happy about that. Considering we missed three easy goal scoring chances it could so easily have been a decent victory. Most of the lads did well but too catastrophic errors by Bednarek and we were two down. His ball distribution was frankly awful and seems always to be caught in two minds when on the ball under pressure We are told that our visitors are possibly the best team in the world but for sure they didn't look like it today.

This is really good news for everyone involved and I wish him well if this happens. He was great keeper for us in the early days and maybe a fresh start will restore his confidence and prolong his career. Fingers crossed for the big man!

The point my friend is that fans now have direct access to senior board members - which they have long demanded - and can ask unrehearsed questions from the floor. How can transparent communication be more open than that? It's up to fans then to use the opportunity that has been given them. If cynicism is your over-riding response to anything senior board members say then that's up to you but people rarely lie when asked a head-on unexpected question face-to-face out of the blue as we saw last night with Hojberg.

Doubtful that Klopp needs to play mind games when facing us. More likely wondering whether he should play his U23s and give the first team a rest.
