  1. Funniest post of the day although not sure Lighthouse deserves the epithet. Good laugh though.
  2. The mystery deepens, just what has happened to JWP?
  3. Ralph is a MAN manager, the others were football managers, probably a ship pole as that. All the crap about controlling the controllables and so on with. no ideas about how to motivate and gel a team ethic.
  4. Good to see Sofiane Boufal in Dublin and a very warm greeting from Ralph. We could be in for a few surprises when the full squad list is finalised. Cedric, Boufal written off and derided by most on here and will be good to see a few of these critics eating some humble pie. What Weill the do when they have nobody to snipe at? Great to see Ricky Lambert back in the building - well at least in China - with hopefully a contract as a goalscoring coach in the offing. Maya too seems to be heading in that direction with the U23s?
  5. Sometimes you can be a pain in the arse. Give the lad a chance, relooks fit, he looks involved and he is playing well. He deserves to start if he can maintain the level of intensity his own dynamic.
  6. It all fits so well that even Wee Ross will have cottoned on. It is very likely that Ralph will have chatted already to his old mates at RBL about this lad coming here. Offer £30m, if he stays for only 2 years at least it buys us time to bring our other youngsters up to speed while we earn ourselves £20m on the back of it.
  7. How was the audience selected, does anybody know?
  8. ...and bemoaning the fact that we had just given him a new 3 year contract.
  9. I'll settle for 5th but 4th is realistic.
  10. Most of the people locally that I know who practice Yoga and Meditation are raving nutters and nervous wrecks!
  11. I thought that was mis-speak, what he meant was that he came to Southampton when Sunseeker were bought by (him) the Chinese. Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group has owned the company since 2013.
  12. Me too. Especially in the company of sharper minds (as here) he comes over as an amiable buffoon. He is also quite hopeless at describing the action at football matches in a way that listeners can actually visualise what is happening on the field which after all is what his job is. Adam lovers will be buzzing around me like wasps to a jamjar.
  13. He's met the RIGHT woman, good luck for your futures Ryan.
  14. We actually leaked one on Sunday against the Austrian side so better not to hold your breath. If you watch the highlights film again you'll see that it was a repeat of more or less every goal we leaked last year, right through the middle of our defence. We need somebody in there desperately who can actually read the game and see these situations developing long before they become a problem but we just don't have any good readers of the game anywhere in defence right now. Be prepared to be gutted if nothing else changes before the end of the window.
  15. I guess we all remember the time when good players didn't want to stay because we didn't pay well enough. Now we pay so well nobody wants to leave... ironic isn't it. Is this what we wished for, perhaps we should have taken more care?
  16. With his skill at bullshutt Austin could make more than that back on the building sites, judging by the quotes I get from his ilk to do stuff on our house.
  17. What I am really loving is all that anguish and pain on their faces during training in Austria and now back at Staplewood. As time goes on they look more and more knackered. Big thumby for Ralph and his team, slackers and ****-takers are not going to survive for long under this regime. Bring it on say I and at least we might have one or two fit players who can last for 90mins at the end of it all.
  18. Let's never forget that SFC's main business objective is to win football matches in the PL, not to rear good young professionals just to sell them at a profit to other clubs so that the club is financially sustainable. The bottom line in this business is 17th in the PL table not the one in the P & L accounts.
  19. He will not be eligible to play if he is not included in the 25 man squad list submitted to the PL
  20. If you are right then it seems Cedric Soares passed whatever test was set in Ralph's mind which can only be a good thing. Surely 'though Stevens cannot be, yet he played? What's your reading of his situation?
  21. Just pointing out to you that it is impossible to infer anything from yesterday's team selections for the end of session kick-about.
  22. Sorry old lad but you sound like a stuck record.
  23. Gunn wasn't used either so who's in for him? Just asking.
  24. Unfair and not particularly true. On last season's evidence he is by no means top of the list of our worst offenders, our quadruple CBs seem to think it's part of their contract.
