  1. Out of work fits our profile for making appointments perfectly.
  2. I saw you once leaving St Mary's after a match, ar least I saw a young/middle aged dark haired guy wearing a Saints shirt with Turkish emblazoned on the back. Was that you? If so should be easy to spot you. I don't think we should all start wearing green spotted handkerchiefs in breast pockets 'though.
  3. In real life most people are a lot nicer and a lot less aggressive and reactionary than they like to present themselves on social media. Social media tends to bring out the worst in us owing to its anonymity. Why people use social media to create false images of themselves I have no idea. The happiest people in life are always those who see themselves as others see them. Meeting up with fellow contributors on here runs the risk of disappointment but it isn't that difficult to find fellow travellers.
  4. Looks like Hasenhuttl and his players have gone into lock down mode again. Not as much as a peep from them on the OS. Wonder what's going on at Marchwood.
  5. He's playing for the U23's
  6. I can't be bothered to trawl back to old entries but I have been a critic of Jaidi's style of play last season and this. It was only a matter of time before the SHTF an this days numbered.

  8. Danso was highly rated 'though and thought of as being a very good capture. Maybe they were convinced he can be the commanding CB we need. Trouble is of course we don't have time to wait now.
  9. There is no appetite for PL football in the South of England and the recent rise and fall of clubs like Swindon, Reading & Portsmouth may have proved that PL football is unsustainable down here, their isn't the level of interest to sustain any momentum or to create larger stadia. One suspects that these facts of life will soon overtake Bournemouth and Brighton as well as the centre of gravity once again shifts back to the midlands and the north west. Saints have the longest tradition of PL football down here but if even we cannot sustain it then what hope for the others.
  10. If we must have a 'local lad made good' in the side then give Slattery a chance every week and ditch Ward Prowse for good. WP has had endless opportunities to demonstrate his ineptness, Slattery can do no worse and can take a bloody good corner time after time.
  11. What? We don't have any assets to sell. Think again.
  12. Explain please. 4000 steel workers and 20000 supply chain workers seem pretty happy about it.
  13. Depends, if it was preceded by an epithet it would characterise a race.
  14. Maybe it is career threatening and neither the player nor the club want to go public about it. Such circumstance would be very personal and hard to get your head around.
  15. Where is your evidence for this claptrap? If reacting to being buggered about, in and out of the team, played repeatedly out of position or sidelined at a whim is "causing trouble" then 'yes' we might have a few and you would too if asked to scrub the office floor as a qualified accountant. Has has had it frankly. Fall out with the senior players at your peril. Almost time for fond farewell's
  16. Probably it is not quite as simple as you make it sound. There may be a host of reasons explaining why we are where we are. Maybe clubs didn't want to sell the players we targeted, maybe they didn't want to come to England or Saints in particular, maybe they couldn't agree terms and so on. Don't just a assume the club didn't try to do what Hasenhuttl wanted. Maybe the same for targeted coaches after all Rohl soon badgered off once he had sniffed the foul smell emanating from the bottom of the premier league.
  17. ..... and both young Saints teams start winning. Just a co-incidence of course.
  18. Look on the bright side, at least we are guaranteed one season in the Championship.
  19. At least all the kids under 14 won't have suffered this indignity twice.
  20. Merit in this. Nobody comes out of this with any credit least of all Hasenhuttl who seems to have the man management skills of a goat. Cedric did not play any more badly than the rest of that shower yesterday so why make him the fall guy when useless journeymen like Ward Prowse coast through every match with hardly a touch of the ball in active play and hardly a rebuke from the boss.
  21. It won't be Hasenhuttl simply because SFC will not have made any preparations for a successor, so convinced are they that they have found their perfect manager for the foreseeable future. They'll carry on hoping and praying that he will turn things around until it is far too late to act.
  22. Yes but they have spent well and he has a pretty decent squad to work with. Unlike us when they sold top assets they re-invested it in younger decent players unlike our previous owner. Look what happens when you have an owner who cared passionately about his club.
  23. Anybody know what the attendance was yesterday, it looked pretty thin on screen. Presumably the weather kept a quite a few STs away even 'though they'd be in the official headcount.
  24. Norwich look doomed, so it is them, us & the one other could be Burnley or West Ham which may sound ridiculous to some but Hammers are likely to panic and sack Pellegrini soon and get themselves into an even deeper mess while Burnley surely cannot go on relying on ageing players playing physical football and winning ugly to get them by. Dyche has been riding his luck for some time and bringing back players like Rodrigues only adds to the feeling that their time is coming to an end. How old are Barnes & Cork? I would put Bournemouth in the mix as well they are looking more stale and predictable by the match; Howe is increasingly blaming others for their poor performances.
  25. Koeman, Pochettino
