  1. Not there yet 'though, these are worst case scenarios and whilst there is a lot of unknowns surrounding this virus there is also hope in that it has not spread out all over the place far more quickly. Even in China, Japan & South Korea their capital cities have not been decimated by the virus as one might have expected by now so containment measures appear to be working and these lessons can be learned. For now it is up to individuals to make their own reasoned choices. Whilst there are no confirmed cases locally that is not to say there are no carriers. At least if you go to St Mary's it will be in the open air.
  2. We can assume that Romeu and Adams will start as they were given a run out in the U23's last night.
  3. He's either chucking it in or has signed a new contract.
  4. As an aside, Cresswell's early assault on Armstrong was quite deliberate and should have been a red card
  5. Should please you then!
  6. An appalling performance by the Saints, huffing and puffing all afternoon but never really offering any real threat on goal. It was a huge mistake to play Smallbone instead of Romeu against a physical long ball team like WHU and we paid the price. He looked a comparative lightweight and was easily by-passed by their midfield. Boufal was hopeless, he got his chance to start and blew it big time. Three at the back at the end was a sign of desperation by Ralph, it's OK saying our defence was a mess but with no shielding mid-field what did we expect. Surely it would have made more sense to start with Valery or Walker-Peters at RB and JWP at right centre opposite Hojberg who incidentally had a stinker as well. That would have given us more balance and a better grip on midfield with more threat in attack.
  7. It's not good that we are still having this conversation about Adams. Surely we have seen all he has to offer by now, others like Carillo & Mo were written off on here long before in their relative times here. From my observations he is very slow to react to situations and is always behind the game. Rarely is he one step ahead anticipating what might happen. It's like his brain thinks "ah! against the ball better chase after that bloke" rather than instinctively knowing what to do next as transition takes place, as Ings does or Djenepo is storming down the ing is I better get into the box by which time of course it's far too late. I used to think he was just lazy minded but now wonder if he will ever be able to change from just being reactive.
  8. Can you clarify what you get that is saints related. Does it give you legal live streaming of all Saints matches for example?
  9. Another comfortable victory in prospect and this time we will take our chances. Boufal hat-trick? Don't bet against it. 4-0 Saints and the Magpies for afters.
  10. Thick as pig **** mostly. Always watch on catch-up so we can skip their inane ramblings.
  11. Fraser Forster's continuing success at Celtic is heart-warming stuff for all who like romantic Roy of the Rovers come-back stories. I was sad for the lad and all his troubles before making the temporary move back north of the border. He has dug in deep and found something inside himself that has rekindled the spark of greatness that once seemed to burn so bright. Will be intriguing to see how the club handle him this summer with none of our retained keepers showing much above adequate performance levels since the Big Man left. Cynics will say no doubt, grab the dosh and get rid but those who understand football a bit more may counsel for the coaching staff to take a second look at him as they did with Boufal.
  12. More like he's trying to walk away from the scene hoping the ref didn't see and pulls a red card on him
  13. His absence may not be bad as you fear you know. If Djenepo & Boufal can have a run of starts don't be surprised if Redmond struggles to get back in. Look what happened on Saturday, Djenepo started and delivered a blinder.
  14. Aston Villa have enough quality to beat the drop if they sack Smith & Terry and get in some half decent coaches.
  15. That's what you call making hard work of it. Converting only 1 chance from 24 is simply dreadful Ralph. A win's a win but for all that we have a team that flatters to deceive. There will be a lot of work to do in the close season especially regarding the second choices for each position.
  16. Adams and Obafemi are not premier league strikers, simply this. Surely, even Carillo would be a better bet than these two wastrels. They've had their chances and not taken them.
  17. How ridiculous to include Saints and Newcastle in that list. We are not in a relegation scrap as this afternoon will soon prove.
  18. Probably time to move on chaps. Les Who?
  19. Speak for yourself tosh!
  20. Clumsy or dirty, that's what happens when second rate journeymen who have no right to play in the best league in the world are up against really talented ball players. Seems to be their mentality to stop them at all cost and take them out of the game as a bonus. It amazes me that Danny Ings is still standing.
  21. Why not go up to SMS and watch it in 3D?
  22. No No No No NO. The higher you fly the further you fall (sic. when the engine stops working). No parachute payments from us mate!
  23. If you get enough 'likes', sure. Who knows you might make a nice living at it ;-)
  24. I fear we will lose him in the close season 'though. Use him or lose him. OK he gets paid well but time moves on and the lad wants and should have regular game time to show his talent. If he can't get it here there will be plenty of suitors in the PL to gave him chance; Palace, Villa & WHU come to mind. Sofiane is an incredible talent but there is something about him that RH seems not to like. Beats me as he is the only creative player we have who can beat his man on both sides. The way the ball sticks to his feet in a melee of players trying to stop him amazes me and OH that goal against WBA!
