Great, lets sing for Pardew as well without knowing any facts.

Lambert has been anonymous again apart from the decent headbutt into the keeper's chest.
-
Almost from Puncheon

Also, Lambert looked well off the pace. Hopefully it's just match fitness. Nonetheless he still has 2 in 2 in the league. -

Finally back from the game. Great result obviously - personally I don't think the performance was as good as we played for large spells against Plymouth and Leyton Orient, however the goals game - possibly because as the home team Bristol R. had to attack a little. Lallana had a great first half - really hope his injury isn't too bad. Of particular mention also was Puncheon - I've read quite a bit of negativity on here about him over the past week or two but feel he had a good game today - if his shooting was stronger he could've had a couple today after cutting inside to create a chance. -
I agree with you personally but perhaps markus' family and friends prefer an applause in which case fair enough.
-
You're in luck; it's going to be a minutes applause.

Tartanowl = Sheffield Wednesday. I was confused at first as well.

RIP Markus. You became a true Saints legend in just over a year with us. Condolences to his family and friends - we will never forget.

No way did we only have 52% possession either...
-
Thought Dickson was one of our best players tbh - put in some cracking crosses in the first half, just a shame there was no-one to get on the end of them.
-
Wrong decision. But on the positive side of things, Chainrai will continue to screw them over. He's never gonna pump enough money in to get them to the Prem and I don't think we'll have to wait too long for our next derby game.
-
You're probably correct... but is it usual to set an appeal date for one day after the ruling is heard? Am I reading too much into the fact that Friday (the appeal date) just happens to be the day before the football season starts and a decision before k.o. is best if, as Poorpy's lawyer stated, that they are "likely to go pop if HMRC win"?
-
No better than what we already have in my opinion...
-
Disappointed it's so expensive - basic sky package with sky sports isn't much more. Won't bother at that price.
-
Fingers crossed; I'm sure people at HMRC have a pretty good idea of what's been going on and with any luck they can put a case together for the courts. Hopefully the derby days can resume soon, it's what football's about.
-
I agree - they have been in it together all along. Ask yourself this... You take someone to court over a "business disagreement" - for example: http://archive.globes.co.il/searchgl/Court%20orders%20Gaydamak%20to%20pay%20Kushnir,%20Chainrai%20$23m_h_hd_2L34nDZaqDbmnC30mDJ0mC34sBcXqRMm0.html Would you honestly have anything to do with them again (especially so soon - within months) without doing full research that there is no risk over the investment? I honestly cannot see any way in which Chainrai and Gaydamak haven't been colluding the full time, have milked the poorpy carcass for every penny and hope that their security on the loans (the land) hold up as the icing on the cake. The plan is for Chainrai to come out of this not looking like a villain when liquidation hits the fan and as the ground is sold for redevelopment

..Amusing report slating the blue few's goal: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/jul/14/goals-gift-soccer-friendly-q/ "Either way, Portsmouth was due some sort of divine favor after the year-long nightmare it has endured — four owners, bankruptcy, relegation from the English Premier League, a fire sale of its best players, an endless journey to the States — and Stott provided it in the second half by overruling his linesman to grant the woebegone English club a goal" They don't seem too impressed.

Last night's friendly for 'Premier League club Portsmouth' didn't draw as many fans as expected: http://www.nctimes.com/sports/community/article_9d47e56d-b472-57a0-a38c-5fd9ae7f99c6.html They should start getting used to 10k crowd attendances.

Who saw that one coming then??? Great signing, charlton's finances must be very dire if he only cost us "up to £450k!". I'm just glad I didn't slit my wrists as 10am came and went on July 1st without a single signing.
