  1. At this rate I can see us losing to Luton in the FA Cup and Jones taking the credit for it, it really wouldn't surprise me the guy is bonkers!!
  2. At the moment I just can't see 3 worse teams if I'm honest maybe 1 or 2. Having said that at the start of the season I said Brighton & Fulham would be in bottom three so what do I know. Feels like someone needs to be dragged into it 2nd half the season Everton - think they're in trouble but Dyche could be a good appointment if he can galvanise them. They need DCL to have a good 2nd half of the season. Bournemouth - despite a fairly good window I think they'll still struggle. Relegation awaits. Wolves - good managerial appointment, good transfer window think they'll pull away from trouble. West Ham - they have enough quality, finished in European places with pretty much the same group of players last season. Think they'll start gelling. Leeds - spent a bit January with some half decent signings Wober, McKennie & Rutter. Rodrigo out for a while is bad for them, Bamford is made of glass so could come down to whether Rutter is cut out for the Prem. Leicester - they're a mixed bag aren't they!! Started season poorly, revival before world cup then poor again since. Keeping James Madison fit is key for them. Think they'll have enough but few injuries they could be sucked in. Forest - really not sure how he's going to keep everyone happy there. Might take time for them to gel and he hasn't got a clue about preferred 11. A few bad results and rot could set in. Hopefully they could be dragged back in. Palace - thought they were a team that needed a striker in Jan. Zaha, Eze & Olise give them creativity but lack of quality up top. They are a team that with a few injuries could definitely be dragged in of not careful.
  3. 2nd biggest spenders behind (long way behind) Chelsea in January. Yes, the striker should have been in the summer but well done SR for spending cash. Will it be enough, I bloody hope so just wish I had more confidence in Nathan Jones to deliver.
  4. Marseille back in for Vitinha this is going to drag out isnt it.
  5. Looks like he's waiting for a fight outside a Weatherspoons not managing a football match he's so agitated
  6. Whoever we sign needs to come in and hit the ground running not take weeks to "bed in" we've not got weeks!! Absolutely pointless buying players to sit on that bench and continuing with the same players that have got us in this position.
  7. Loved what he was doing with Pickford before the JWP free kick. If you watch Pickford trying to line the wall up Charly stands in front blocking his view, everytime Pickford takes a step to that side to see around him Charly moves as well.
  8. https://www.skysports.com/football/live-blog/11095/12476234/transfer-centre-live-all-the-latest-deals-moves-and-rumours-as-the-january-transfer-window-opens?postid=5198519#liveblog-body Not Keane according to the latest Sky Sports update.
  9. I'm hoping this is Semmens doing and the SR are going to pull rank. This appointment if indeed it is true worries me immensely. I really thought SR were going to pull a big name out of the hat and make a bit of a splash. I'm clinging to one of the reports that said "Jones was one of the names on the shortlist that we wanted to speak to". The Luton statement is the worrying thing all very nicey nicey, would make me think this is already a done deal.
  10. If it is a straight decision for AMN between Saints and Bournemouth then its just been made a lot easier choice.
  11. 1st - Man City 2nd - Liverpool 3rd - Spurs 4th - Arsenal 18th - Brentford 19th - Fulham 20th - Bournemouth Saints to finish 11th FA Cup - Chelsea League Cup - Man City
  12. Do you know if he is going somewhere else?
  13. A question for anyone that watches/follows the academy closely is Dibbling really as good as everyone is making out. I only ask as I loosely follow the academy & women's team and before the hatrick against Newcastle I'd not heard of him. Clearly talented by the looks of the hatrick but wondering if people/press have jumped on the bandwagon somewhat.
  14. A friend and former colleague is Head of Marketing at WBA and their 22/23 kit was designed "by the fans for the fans" with the Cyrille Regis era in mind. To be honest a red and white version of this would have been spot on in my opinion just that tad more red needed.
  15. Niko Kovac going to Wolfsburg though isn't he?
  16. Looking forward to taking my 12 year old lad to watch Saints Women on Sunday in the Cup Final v Huddersfield. We're literally 10 miles from Solihull Moors where it's being played.
  17. One of my best mates is an Everton fan and has been saying the same for a while. Had s good season 2019/20 but has been average since.
  18. Any chance we can separate this thread into Potential Takeover Talk and move the debate about whether Southampton is shit hole or not to another thread???
  19. If you watch it Azpilicueta also backs into McCarthy when the cross comes in
  20. According to the opposition London Bees Twitter account Southampton won 5-0
  21. I wish him well at Leicester but can't say I'm sad to see him go either. Our defensive record last couple of seasons has been shocking. People see his height and the fact that he can make a 40 yard diagonal pass but problem is he's slow and gets caught out a lot. When LCFC defenders are fully fit he'll back to 4th choice. As for Bertrand I liked him a lot buy thoughy for a while he looked like he wanted a new challenge.
  22. Anyone wondering why JWP hasn't come out and said "I'm happy here and dont want to leave" as our captain that's what I'd be looking for from him he must know it's unsettling.
  23. I'm in Redditch but work in Edgbaston and all the Villa fans i work with are doing my head in all convinced JWP is going to sign. They've been unbearable all summer with their love for Jack Grealish. i thought once he'd gone they'd quieten down but with Ings signing & JWP talk I cant cope lol
  24. I was really expecting to see some movement after our PL status was secured and not having any movement has harmed our chances for next season. I dont like Gao but must be tough for him. Supposedly China have said he cant invest any more money so naturally he wants to sell & naturally he wants his money back. Problem is with Covid the valuation has dropped as no matchday revenue has had an effect on turnover. But without investment relegation is a strong possibility and if thats the case he'll never get his money back. Think he might need to cut his losses and run at some point.
  25. We ain't going to be signing Abraham. We'll end up with a championship striker or some striker from a lesser European league that no one's heard of that we'll hope to but for £10m and sell in 2 years for £40m. Whereas reality is they'll be shit and loaned out season after season
