Have Pinnacle called the Football League's bluff? With Pinnacle pulling out and laying the blame with the football league, were they hoping the FL would publicly deny this is the case? Now they could re-emerge knowing that the FL have made that statement and wont be able to back track. thoughts? I'm not saying this is what I think will happen or indeed what I want to happen but just a thought.

I think the problem is if we sign to say SFC is in admin then we get hit with another -15 thus starting the league with -25 points.

what they actually said was that if the players aren't paid tomorrow then they can claim breach of contract and would be free to sign for another club. Basically meaning if players aren't paid tomorrow they might as well all be free agents. Its still the everyday stadium staff that i feel sorry for

As a family relation (distant) i can confirm that yes he was/is a Saints fan. As the family folklore goes Ben wasn't the most amused when Hoddle quit Saints and took over Spurs when Ben was playing there, he told Hoddle that he was a Saints fan and jokingly (although he did mean it) called Hoddle a Judas although, he didnt find it funny and they never got on. When Ben was sold to Leicester he was highly critical of Hoddle in the press. And of course it happened to be a coincidence that it was playing against Pompey that Ben was involved in that infamous tackle on Pedro Mendes. Dont know what all the fuss was about looked like a fair shoulder barge to me....................(joke. no excuse. thug.)

As I mentioned in another thread I was in the blues end yesterday with my brother-in-law a devoted b'ham fan. Also living up here I can tell you that a lot of there supporters not to dis-similar to us saints fans who have issues with their current board. Also this area has been probably the worst hit during the recession, its a massive manufacturing area and there are firms closing every day and lots of people going down to a 3-4 day working week. The b'ham fans are ****ed off that their board wont lower the prices to get the stadium packed out and people just cant afford to go at the moment. At one point yesterday saints fans were singing "you're support is a pile of ****" to which a guy 3 seats down from me said "you wouldnt believe there gates have fallen from 30,000 to 14,000 would you"

I endured yesterdays game frorm the opposite end of the ground sitting with my brother-in-law a devoted birmingham fan and the rest of the blues fans. But it always puts hairs on the back of my neck when you look across at the saints fans singing and giving it there all. Guys we really can be the 12th man for the remainder of this season so lets really get behind the team and back them all the way to the finish. Anyone notice that for a team that is battling for promotion back to the promised land how empty the stadium was, this area (west midlands) has been hit very badly by the recession and their fans own problems with their board of directors so we are not the only club with dwindling attendances, although i can see a sharp rise in attendances for saints over the following weeks.
