It must be me then. I just cannot drink the GK IPA. I was last in the J on a New years Day walkabout. The beer was OK but mostly linked to GK. To be fair though, I have heard that Martin has had a few barrels of non GK owned or related beers through the pumps. Chrissie ?? I think you mean Sandie, aka Madbat. Very sad about the J though, spent many hours in there when it was a Marstons pub. Sadly Greene King came along with their undrinkable juice. Before the smoking ban was invoked, there were so many people smoking in there, you could barely see the other side of the bar some evenings. A bit like Saturday night I should imagine :-)

V Man City. Pouring with rain, Steve Williams and Bally bossing the game from the middle. Slide tackles coming in from 20 yards, mud n snot everywhere. There was one incident right in the centre circle when it seemed like 15 players were in there scrambling for the ball covered in mud. you could hardly tell which side they were on ! I think that was televised as well.
