This. Like Everton - when Shaw is isolated one-on-one there is always a chance of a shot being got-off. I think Boruc is top, top quality. To me it looked like the goal actually took a tiny nick off of Sure (but I'm not Shaw of that)

Most interesting thing for me is that we haven't lost to a team that we beat last year. You'd have thought that one team would have got the hang of us or changed manager or something so that they could turn it around. Suggests we haven't taken a step backwards in any department?

It's difficult. Arsenal are the sort of side that will pass holes through us if we go for it in our normal style a la City and United. However, doing what we did in the first 15 trying to defend deep is suicide because they will have about 70% possession and 1st goal absolutely slays us. Positive that we can create chances, if we'd taken a few more it might have been a bit different. But we have to hold out early and really get first goals in games - as we did against the Manchesters - not many teams will take us down like they did if we work on those last 15 minutes or so. Maybe Yoshida will be our saviour once he gets up to pace

I know he was thrown in all of a sudden but Yoshida was entirely at fault for Gervinho's first, moment of madness to go to the player there. I'm sure he'll be an excellent CB but just sayin'

Personally I'm not a fan, but I think that's because I'm not used to it and it looks like a training kit. The white one is alright and if we start winning games of football in it (beating Man City?) it'll grow on me for sure. We need to steady a bit with the Nicola bashing simply for this. More importantly stop hiding Kelvin in the preview video - I want to see what the keeper kit will be like...

I've always liked Bart. He must have been one of the players who's been in the squad longest prior to his departure?? I wish him all the best and that he can establish himself as a first team keeper. Some of the saves he has made show him to be a very able keeper (e.g. vs. Wolves) but his confidence/luck has not been there - I hope it can now!
