  1. Sadly prior commitments have stopped me from being able to attend today. If anyone can PM me a radio link that would be very much appreciated.
  2. Kolo Toure? Thats the last thing our defence needs...
  3. £100m in debt and will eventually get relegated. The proverbial will hit the fan with them at some time or another and they will be in a much, much worse predicament than us.
  4. Great post. Actually a witty suggestion of a chant that I could see fans joining in with.
  5. There is a very good local band called The Reason. Pretty sure they are all Southampton fans and would love to take part. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/thereasonlive
  6. What are you all expecting? All interested serious parties to come out and show their hand? Why on earth would they do that? It would be likely to affect the price in which they could acquire the club for considerably. Things will be happening at the moment, of that I am sure. No news is most definately good news at the moment.
  7. Having just looked at the league table you are indeed correct. To be fair despite our rather lacklustre form this season I've been fairly ignorant of whats been happening in League One. Both good players though. Sad times that staying with Peterborough is seen as a wiser career move than signing with the once mighty Saints.
  8. Aaron McLean from Peterborough.

Without turning this thread sour, its about time. His form has been very poor of late so as someone who didnt go to the game today, its great to hear he's put in a decent performance today. Very talented player who perhaps let talk of a transfer to the Prem turn his head earlier this season. Lets hope he can kick on and inspire us to retain our Championship status come the end of the season. Keep it up Adam.
  10. Reading-Brum is bound to be the televised match. Having done the predictor, I think its going to be a case of the winner stays up against Forest, a draw being no good for either side.
  11. One things for certain... the balti pies at the stadium would be quality...
  12. Why bring the Republic of Ireland into this?!
  13. Wilde and Crouch In my opinion, Lowe has made mistakes but none drove us to quite as much debt as when these two were in charge.
  14. I think the ice cream shop you refer to is owned by ex-Saint and Wales international Ron Davies. Not the one that lives in America these days and was apparently untouchable in the air, but the other one.
  15. At least JV had a bit of energy and athleticism about him and good could get up and down the pitch. I'd have him over Wotton any day of the week, he was poor yesterday as well.
  16. Is someone referring to their left-back as playing well? He was shocking! I was thinking all game who was worse, Jake Thompson or their left-back. I plumped for Jake Thompson, he was truly shocking and by no means is a right-back.
  17. I'd have something resonant like Southampton Pheonix (as in Pheonix from the ashes etc..). Even after so much in-fighting the past few years, something like Southampton United as well. I would play with red and white stripes, got to still be nicknamed Saints. Not sure about Nick Holmes. Think he might be settled with Salisbury. Jimmy Case, Jason Dodd or Franny could be good alternatives. Would say Matty but wouldnt be worth his while financially speaking. Players we could get back; Killer, Claus, Tessem...
  18. Technically I think we are a town as we lack a Cathedral. May be wrong though.
  19. Duncan Bannatyne. Just like the name.
  20. I'm thinking of going as there is a direct train from the station at the end of my road (Kensington Olympia) that goes straight to Watford Junction. Anyone know how long it takes to get from Watford Junction station to Vicarage Road?
  21. Interesting. I think Kayne McGlaggon looks a brighter prospect. Lets hope Oscar (and Kayne) keep on progressing and fulfil their potentials.
  22. Could the massive source be that fella that Match of the Day kept filming doing a stupid dance whenever we scored back in the Premier League years? He was particularly massive...
  23. I'd assume its because everybodys dressing up, he's dressing down
  24. I couldnt resist. I had to do the predictor and I think I've been fair enough with my predictions; Saints 2 - 0 Charlton Watford 2 - 1 Saints Wolves 2 - 0 Saints Saints 1 - 1 Crystal Palace Sheff Wed 1 - 0 Saints Saints 1 - 1 Burnley Notts Forest 1 - 1 Saints P7 W1 D2 L3 F6 A8 P6 According to my predictions we survive by a point. I think I've been overly harsh on my predictions too, as I think we have a good chance of beating Palace and Burnley at home and I think we could win at Forest as well, given the amazing support we will no doubt take there.
  25. I would agree Size was an unknown quantity to an extent but Saga was an existing Polish international and played in a decent enough league before us. He also had spells as Feyenoord and Hamburg in his earlier days and had a very good record in the Portuguese league as well, before joining Troyes. He was a player with very decent pedigree.
