  1. Question 17... Shut the fookin' thing down!
  2. do you like owls?
  3. Truly humbled by the power and force of Mother Nature.
  4. Just out of curiosity what is stopping people from eating, drinking, talking about Eastenders or texting from their seat?
  5. When I go down early to beat the queue I continue watching the remainder of the first half on the TV's anyway so I miss no more football than the idiots who stayed glued to their chair until the half time whistle determined to queue for their pint as long as possible.
  6. This is a great idea.
  7. Craig Revel Horwood and Loui Spence.
  8. No sign of Sheikh Mansour either and he must be well up there. Its obviously bollix.
  9. There have been many occasions where I have stayed in the Alfred or Northam Club drinking instead of actually going to the match. Sometimes for me, having to go to the match ruins my Saturday. If I want to go in to the concourse 10 minutes before half time to have a pint with my mates whilst watching the match on the screen I will. It beats waiting until half time and then queuing for a pint with everyone else only to miss the start of the 2nd half which happens more often than not. Cant really see the problem with wearing colours either. I dont do it but if thats what people want to do to show their support, fair play to them.
  10. Goggles.
  11. Harding is a must but he will be holding out to see if we get promoted. There will be Championship clubs after him no doubt.
  12. What is it with fans wanting us singing really busy, long winded songs with verses, bridges and choruses? My Liverpool supporting mate tries to impress me with them all the time and it's just boring. Goes on wayyyy tooooo loooooong.
  13. He wasnt given the opportunity. Lets see if Cortese's resolve is as strong in January...
  14. So your argument is if someone came in and bid £10m for AOC, £5m for Fonte or £7m for Lallana we wouldnt accept because we are under no pressure to... Do you not think the players would want a say in the matter?
  15. Cant see why you'd think it was strange logic. Are you saying Theo Walcott wouldnt make an impact in League 1? If you are, I think you are wrong.
  16. SO what are you proposing? We hold out for another 3 or 4 years until he blossoms in to a £25m player? I wish I shared your optimism but in the real world the lad will be gone the first opportunity he gets which is why re-couping £10m on such a player would undoubtedly be "incredible business". The lad will be gone the first opportunity he gets, without a doubt.
  17. I asked if you would rather have AOC now or the player Walcott was at the time he left us. To be honest I am still amazed you would go for AOC. He's decent but Walcott absolutely dominated games at a higher level. As hypo said, AOC isnt even our best player and we are in League One.
  18. I dont think anyone would argue about that! He'd be a great partner for RL but I'd imagine there will be sides in the Championship more than willing to take a punt on him too. That said, I'd be quite happy if we sold AOC for £10m, £5m up front and used £2m of the up front money to bring Mackail Smith in. Get on the blower to Nige and let him know this is whats happening.
  19. So you'd both rather have AOC in your side than the Theo Walcott that left us for Arsenal back in 2006?
  20. Kolo's been smashing out the bugle
  21. I honestly would take guaranteed promotion via the play-offs over winning the league. Just the drama of it all and the days out on the sauce for the semi away and the final up in Manchester. Not sure my nerves could handle participating in it but if we were guaranteed the win, I'd be all over it.
  22. Totally agree with a lot of the comments on this thread. He is a decent player with promise but putting him in the same bracket as a Gareth Bale or Theo Walcott is ridiculous. Bale and Walcott influenced games in the Championship week in, week out. Chamberlain doesnt yet have that ability and I doubt he will be here by the time he matures in to a player than can. I swear half the money put on his estimated value is due to the fact he is coming from the famed Southampton academy which can only bode well for us in the future. £10m for him would be incredible business.
  23. Great news. Thanks for being pro-active. Good to hear you shared our frustrations. Fingers crossed it solves all the problems.
  24. Dan Seabourne was wearing a flat cap if it helps. Forgot to say Hoskins was looking very sharp. Quite small in build but looks very handy.
